For them to go back to their original sound they would need their ghost writer to come back but sadly on permanent hiatus

First song I heard from them while I was living in Perth. I was only a month away from going home back to the U.S. Then 3 days before I left Australia I got to see them live in Perth. They were so amazing!!! There is no one around today that makes music of this caliber.

This one is dedicated to a certain Jodelmädel I fell in love with yesterday. Genau.
20 minutes of chat... (That's all it takes Mr. Neil Strauss... The Game? Yea) - SHE addressed ME. Können sie das glauben???
    Are you Australian?
    Bernette.
    Mystery brown-green retinas.
    5''2.
    Sehr schlank gebaut.
    Geboren 1969.
    Befindet: Frankfurt am Main.
Deutsche Bank(! man I applicated for a job there: Budapest, Wien, München. Mein Herz brennt. Aber, meine Frau).
    BMW Motorrad.
    Hölderlin und Rilke.
Fünf tagen "My ass hurts real bad..." Und, ich vermute - auf dem Fahrrad, hmh?
    Currently: Trollhättan... going north.
Nur zwanzig Minuten, nur reden - Schatzi, möge ich dich jemals wiedersehen?
Sie war nicht heiratet. Mein Herz.
Weird how easy to receive information...
Noch, zu dem Sachen: This one is quite heavy for a BOT song. It's great, of course. The build up... Ian Kenny (W/ the lads) is pure genious. That voice. And...that skit about 4:00 - She's crumbling in that corner - "Here's Johnny"-moment. Nice touch.
As you guys probably know, Mr. Kenny has gone through rough times. Good Lord.
    Cheers from Schweden!

meshen85 8 years ago Status Quo don't even belong in the same sentence as The Who
That's because QUO are a trillion times better than The Who and I like The Who.
Back in the mid 60's bands like The Who and The Kinks were Punks.
I respect their Punk attitude to society, which in the mid 1960's was very conservative.
In the very early 60's a band called The Beatles were tearing it up in Hamburg drinking rum n coke and imbibing 'speed'. They were Punks wearing leather clothing until Brian Epstein put them in suits to make them socially acceptable.
After QUO's socially acceptable psychedelic period where they wore fancy frilly shirts, they went feral and adopted ' double denim ' clothing.
They stuck two fingers up at the 'establishment' and started playin filthy, dirty boogie n blues.
Ma Kellys and Dog of Two Head are two of the best albums ever made, by anyone.
A big thank you to "Down The Dustpipe" written by Australian Carl Groszman who was a member of 60s band
    Steve And The Board.
Releasing DUSTPIPE in 1970 as a non-album single was a masterstroke as it kept the band's name in the consciousness of the public, so by the time QUO released PILEDRIVER on 15th December 1972, they exploded onto the mainstream charts.
STATUS QUO stand alone as a unique entity and don't belong in the same sentence as any other bands.
The most ardent music supporter is a QUO supporter.
We know who the greatest Rock band of all time is.
Only one Rock band had the best and greatest Rhythm Guitarist of all time.
    RIP RICK PARFITT.

With all due disrespect to everyone that 'sings' the praises of this band, I don't think I've ever heard a band or artist that annoys and irritates me more.
If this comment has upset you in any way, then I'm very pleased and happy about that.
The fact is that commercial radio will play this horrible band and yet ignore some of the best and greatest Australian bands that are in my music collection and that I saw many, many times in a LIVE environment. These bands should be on 'high rotation' not Birds of Tokyo.
I won't name them because it would be falling on deaf ears and they are way above your heads.
The vocalist in BOTokyo has a very annoying voice.
Everything about them makes me cringe.
The music is like 'painting by numbers' yellow is 3, blue is 2, etc.
It's all written to a contrived formula that will suit the current music climate and appeal to the middle market of mediocrity
