This is peak BOT. This album was phenomenal. I feel like they've lost a lot of the edge they once had. Fingers crossed for a new Karnivool album to save the day
Heard this song from my Donna in Karratha (sea ripple accommodation) in 2014? When they played with San Sisco at the sports ground. Great listen great listen.. Sad place sad times good listen
2 days ago Read Alan Strom's comments, he knows what he's talking about. Have a long listen to every song by Melbourne band called AUTOHAZE, they are a trillion times better than BOTokyo. Did commercial radio play their quality music every 10 minutes, no they didn't. Commercial radio didn't play THE CASANOVAS, who in my opinion are one of the best Rock bands of all time. Back in the 80's, the music director at MMM radio, ran and hid behind a pot plant when THE LIME SPIDERS went into the radio station to promote their latest album. Of course they didn't play it. THE LIME SPIDERS are 500 trillion times better than the mediocre manufactured and contrived emo lyrics, pulling at the heart strings of people who can relate. Have a listen to THE SUNNYBOYS or MACHINATIONS or V SPY V SPY or THE VENETIANS or THE EUROGLIDERS. These are just a few examples that crossed my encyclopaedic mind. The point is, that compared to these artists, and hundreds, no thousands of other class acts, the BOTokyo are rubbish, I despise them . Now, being down the front at The San Miguel at Cammeray in 1982 was very exciting and thrilling because at anysecond Grace and Bernie would be on stage with the Mighty EUROGLIDERS, playing top quality music. There used to be hundreds of LIVE venues and hundreds of quality bands, now most of the venues are closed and there aren't many quality bands to play in them. Recently I saw THE GANG of FOUR at THE MANNING BAR and RADIO BIRDMAN at THE FACTORY THEATRE. The Hopetoun and Excelsior are gone. I remember going to The Trade Union Club to see The Hoodoo Gurus in 1984. Fans of the horrible BOTokyo weren't even born. I'm very passionate about quality music, that's why I have an extremely low opinion of BOTokyo

Shame they'll never top this. The last album was epic but this song and wayside was the peak of their career. Check out karnivool if you want more of the lead singer but a bit more hectic.
Dude I'm going down a massive nostalgia mission, I remember listening to these albums before they went really big.. What was it.. Lanterns? Yeah I'm confused as to why I haven't heard their name in years? Anyone wanna fill me in?

Weird how easy to receive information... Noch, zu dem Sachen: This one is quite heavy for a BOT song. It's great, of course. The build up... Ian Kenny (W/ the lads) is pure genious. That voice. And...that skit about 4:00 - She's crumbling in that corner - "Here's Johnny"-moment. Nice touch. As you guys probably know, Mr. Kenny has gone through rough times. Good Lord. Cheers from Schweden!

I wish BoT would go back to this style of music, it's absolutely amazing and never fails to get the hairs on my skin standing up. Love it
I agree
For them to go back to their original sound they would need their ghost writer to come back but sadly on permanent hiatus
How does this song have less than 1m views? I must have listened to it at least 500k times.. does the world not know about it?
This was recommended to me on spotify a couple months ago and it is definitely one of my favorite songs
Spotify algorithm is OG
Same here dude, was suggested to me two days ago, can't stop listening
same

2020 C19 and still holding strong; Although Anchor is pretty f*€kin awesome lol.
Those breaths he takes whilst singing are killer
I loved this Album. It remains my favourite among Birds of Tokyo’s discography.
But I still greatly enjoy their other works.
This is peak BOT. This album was phenomenal. I feel like they've lost a lot of the edge they once had. Fingers crossed for a new Karnivool album to save the day
eleven years later still love this song
First song i heard by them and have been hooked ever since
I expect that you like that other horrible band called Coldplay. UUghh!!
@@alanstrom2221 no? Lol. Either way what does it matter, let people listen to what they want lmao vibing is vibing

They suck now unfortunately
listen to karnivool.. same some band members of Birds are there
Still the best sounding asthma attack of all time
Ooh, fedora and chin strap forever immortalized. Ahhh, the 2000s
Holy moly, he looks completely different in those 10 years, time flies!
Been looking for 10 years not a song like it yet
I still remember my 8 year old self being in JBhifi and hearing this song. 8 years later and I still listen to this song every day.
Rock on little bro
2022 still kicks ass 🤘💯
What a great song.
How does this song not have more views? I still remember this so good
I just find out about you guys, love your music. Greetings from Mexico
How in the world does this masterpiece not have more views??? Crazy good music and y'all aren't listening to it?
its been10 years and this still the the best song you have done and thats okay cause its awsome
Considering this is their official video from their official UA-cam, 240p quality should get their publicists sacked!

Great listen great listen.. Sad place sad times good listen
19,000 views and 18 comments....seriously? And this is a band that has a video with over a million views.
not right is it. under appreciated band.
for me it was plans 8 years a ago when i was just 8
Only got minimal comments cause all the new fans listen to commercial. Miss the god old days of Birds Of Tokyo and Karnivool.
I wasn't familiar with their.older.stuff..
But as an Aussie, I should be. These guys are amazing!
best song best video an all time favourite for this band
Keep on flying Birds!
This song shall never grow old.
still love this song whish they would do more of this
so love this song and the video
Love this song
The 3rd quarter of the song just blows my mind!
so whish this awsome video was remarstered its one of the best
I prefer Karnivool era, but good!
Karnivool is on a whole another level, they are truly awesome
The vool. Seen them live 3 times now. Soon a 4th.
These were the days I would say Karnivool were and Birds of Tokyo were on par. Ian Kenny was legend around this time. How commercialism ruins things.
love this song!
still good 16.09.2023
will wach this song/video till the day before i die its still awsome
Growing up to songs like these, i have taken a massive dislike to modern pop. Its a shame no one makes songs like these anymore.
That's the thing though, they do. You just wont hear it on any mainstream radio station, Triple J included !!
Completely agree

Me too!
This was shot in Lancaster!? Never would've expected that.
Love this song, old school Birds is the best. Surely Kenny's taking the p1ss with that trilby though? 😂
brilliant modern Aussie Anthym!
and its 2021 and thank f?%k 2020 is over long live Broken Bones one of the best songs ever
I love the fact that there are no birds in tokyo
If your here in 2022 you matter
They performed this in Newcastle last night
I wish the start bit was on apple music
On the album it was listed as uno. I don't have itunes, but maybe it's listed as that?
15 years already?
i remember listening to this on the triple j hottest 100 dvd we had and the music video always scared me but i thought it was so cool

Yes, same location. They shot there after we did this clip and Silhouettic

how is broken bones and silhouettic related?
only related in video far as I can tell the songs do not mix.
They are on the same album. In addition to that I believe they were going for an 'artsy' look by having multiple parts to a story of some kind.
who sings this?
Fedora
You shouldnt throw sand in peoples eyes
Ian Kenny, why are you so damned fine! :-)
