Thx, really helpful, since I'm a karate guy and there are allmost no grappling drills. It is great to have some ideas for "self training". Best from Germany
Unless it’s Kyokushin I really don’t like Karate and I consider it really useless in a “real” fight against someone who has actual knowledge of fighting (Stand up, Clinch, Grappling)
I I just started BJJ, had difficult time with drills almost feeling miserable because I could not perform some in proper form, I really like how you do these drills in different angles, helpful thank you.
Awesome, exactly what I was looking for. Work that flexibility people, and go slowly. Now for doing shikos in the park... I hope people will not be too weirded out.
Hey man good question. I'll make a video for you about that soon. The short answer, however, is that you start by doing neck strengthening exercises, like neck crunches, or holding a static neck bridge. (Important note: when doing a neck bridge, make sure the strain is on the neck and back muscles, not the spine.)
Chris Kennedy, see that last part about the spine is what I’m currently working on. I pretty much spent and hour on all of the drills. The video really helps! Thanks a lot sir!
I personally cannot recommend neck bridges any longer. I have stopped doing them for two years. If you want to know why I recommend to look on UA-cam "Neck Exercises that KILL Your Neck (DO THESE INSTEAD!!)" Many exercises are accumulative and straining the neck with bridges is dangerous long term. *Note: Every other exercise in this video is great.
Thanks the slow deliberate way u performed those drills really helped me understand the movements
Wonderful progressive demo, slowly & clearly done. Thank you for sharing!
I'm not a grappler but these look like great drills to condition the body

How do you even start doing the neck bridges at 5:00? I've been doing the basic bridge at my gym. I'm worried I'll break my neck.

Nice
How about jui jitsu escapes and submissions you can practice armbars solo to. Just use visulization and to practice the technique.
These are great, but what's the shiko used for? (I'm brand new to bjj).
Shiko is something that you mainly see Sumo wrestlers do. It develops leg strength, balance, and flexibility 👍
those neck bridges O . O

Love your channel & videos, we appreciate your knowledge. You look like a bad MF. Always rate/review, smash like & subscribe.
my god
why shiko ?
Because Sumo bro
Strengthens the whole legs when carrying.
Strengthens legs and stretches the hips wider , helps for hip flexibility
What the purpose of stupid sumo' s exercise..?😂
These are all the core drills right here I'm glad to see this
Extremely helpful for this 45-year-old white belt!
I started when I was 35, never too late. Keep on it !
Real inspiration... thanks for this training routine. Keeping in good shape let you train all life! bless
How many reps should one do in a workout. With one of the drills one is training on. Thank you
