8 BJJ solo drills to improve your guard

  • These are some some of my favorite drills to do when I am at the gym with some down time. Rather than just sitting around I can improve on some basic skills.
Some of the drills take practice but once you are able to do them you will notice a big change in your movements when rolling.
I started doing these solo BJJ drills when I was 15. I am a strong believer that they really do help your game out a lot!
When I first started doing some of these drills like going inverted I would get frustrated. But after taking time and really dedicating myself to learn the technique I noticed a big jump in my game.
My most successful Triangle set ups www.chewjitsu.n...
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
For any questions about this move or others you'd like to see please click the link above and send them to my email. Thanks for watching!

Chad - I'm a 47yr. old white belt with very limited flexibility. I really enjoyed these 8 warm-ups. I'll take all the helpful suggestions I can get. I "liked" it and am now subscribed! Thanks so much. 😆

I’m working on being able to invert, and touch my feet above my head. Your pre-inverting wall drill is going to help so much!

That first drill I love Chad bro cuz I always go butterfly guard or spider guard wen I roll. I had a purple belt guy tell me movement in the hips is key.

how do you not burn your foot sliding it on the mat like that? I hate takedowns because i always feel awkward dragging knees and feet on the floor and having the top of my feet dragging. Any tips?

If you're going to compete with chewy you better be good at inspirational monologues because chewy really knows how to target the thoughts I'm having. I'm drunk btw
