When you installed your Hayden chain tensioner, how much spacing did you have between the top of the bracket and the bottom of the pad. Mine only had a 1/4" and I tried contacting Hayden, but they never responded, which worries me.
Hum! I measured the chain slack at the top which I controlled with the spacer provided left it at about 5/8”, if I remember correctly. On the thing about calling Hayden that’s surprising I contacted them at that time and were very helpful.
I installed this tensioner on my 07 heritage. I love it.

You might try a 1/2 socket, instead of metric, on the Hayden
