- Fishing a swamp for big fish! We head out to go exploring and fishing a new swamp for whatever bites! One thing about swamp fishing is that you never know what could possibly be swimming around! I actually can't believe I caught what I did.. we found a creek giant. I did not expect for this to happen..

Fishing at my camp I'd bring 3 rods at one time, my friends all made fun of me, but I said you never know when you'll need that 3rd rod. 🤣🤣🤣
Northern snakehead, the shallow low oxygen water they thrive in, size, aggressiveness and prolific ability to spread into other waters make them a perfect fish to target, especially when they may also be the best tasting fish out there.
I really like the jackal kaera frog. Easy to walk with a small profile makes the hook up ratio better for snakies. Also, the chatterbait mini max with a zoom fluke trailer for the same reasons

Snakeheads are wayyyy cooler than bass.
Also I cook all my snakeheads like that. I normally use soy sauce, garlic, ginger and marinate it before cooking it on the grill.

The biggest fish I have caught all summer is a bull shark 3’2
So I have a friend that does museum quality bone articulation with snakehead skulls(movie on my channel...Native Necromancy).
I have also been making fish skin leather with snakehead skins here in New Jersey for fillet knife scabbard making.

here in maryland it is 100% illegal to release a snakehead. you can also get fined if your caught with a live one too
