i run mine with 3 srm4 and i love it, even tho the ammo on the ac20 is quite limited. wish it were 55t but ah well. you can even 1v1 an brawling atlas with it - and i had won if he wouldnt have been lucky to shoot right in my cockpit and killing me instantly. the pilot of the atlas and many of his team admitted this and gratulated me for the try, thats what i like about this community. you just get more respect from your enemies than even from teammates in other games.
Solid build and great tactics applied to get some really good results. With the torso twisting to soak damage and applying damage to the team targets made for 2 fast games. You lost your SRMs in the second match beceasue you over extended hunting the Stalker but the result of removing it's suppression missiles from your team got you the win. Great Daily Dose!
Even though you did more damage the first game, I was more impressed with the 2nd. The way you absorbed on both arms let your team do a lot of damage. You played tank for a good long time there for a 50-ton mech, and outdamaged everyone on your team while you were doing it.
Hunch is not for tanking. I've often been able to tank harder in my cent then I could in most Assaults because the torso twist is so much faster. When you get good, you can catch ppcs and gauss with your shield arm, as well as side circle strafe at max twist like you're dracula with a bullet proof cape and a tommy gun. Face hugger trip 6 srm surprise with cd's is always a crowd pleaser too with double shield arms to work with.

While it doesn't take advantage of the autocannon quirks, I run my AH with 3 machine guns and 3 SRM-6s w/artemis (and a STD 250). It's a great brawler.
I use this build. Except I found that 3x srm2 > 2x srm4. The srm2's better reload makes your time to kill better as you can shave away armor faster Then that pinpoint 20 can finish the job. Plus, that extra ton lets you pick between more ac/20 ammo, armor, or w/e.

Did you konw the mechs are named after the nordic goddesses of past, present and future? All three have a name painted on somewhere (Cent on the shield arm, Atlas on the back).
I've found that generally the self-styled company commanders (the guys that won't shut up on comms about pointless crap), are the ones that are terrified to actually push. You on the other hand, you relay important tactical data in the moment and don't get caught up in the nonsense - if only everyone with a mic bothered to follow your example. Also, excellent piloting in the second game - it reminded me of how scary a Centurion can be.
It doesn't matter what you might be saying on comms if your team refuses to push. I've been on teams up 3 mechs with minimal damage taken who still refuse to close with the other team, and subsequently get picked apart by long range fire to eventually lose. Most people play scared, its just a fact of MWO.
It depends on my backup weapons. But my minimums are usually (also applies to LB-Xes and Ultras): AC20 - 3 tons AC10 - 2 tons AC5 - 2.5 tons AC2 - 3 tons
Suodemon 4 ml and whatever you can fit of srm, combined with a rather large standart engine can also wreck some faces, although i admittedly prefer to usw 3erll on mine, just for softening targets up for my team. centurions while quite tanky are also very big, bigger than some heavies and therefore i often had problems to get them into srm range

Hard to tell. The quirks are almost equal but the Wang can load a standard engine 250 with 2 MedLas+AC20 which makes him tankier. The CN9-AH has more burst potential with the missile slots but it needs an XL. I think the Wang slightly wins the race though.
I'd rather see if I can take the Yen Lo Wang and turn it into the invasion version swap out the engine for an XL A,C20 and 1 ton of ammo and you can put a gauss and change the med laser to mplasers The gauss can really cause a lot fo damage and gives it a long range component. It's not a brawling build but I think as a 2nd line mech

With all the amazing energy quirks it has I find that I get the most bang for my buck with his build. Especially the laser duration quirk... Makes your LLasers fire off like LPL's. Also the 8R is a really underrated SRM Brawler... The missile quirks and the cockpit lvl launchers make it excellent peaking imho.

The CN9-AH is one of the more fun 'Mechs to run, in my opinion. Mine has a standard 245 and two SRM2s instead of SRM4s.

Wanted to ask, do you have a general rule of thumb for ammo tonnage for ballistics?
It depends on my backup weapons. But my minimums are usually (also applies to LB-Xes and Ultras):
AC20 - 3 tons
AC10 - 2 tons
AC5 - 2.5 tons
AC2 - 3 tons
Never mind the lost SRMs. In this situation you would have just used them more and then overheated and then died more quickly.
Now I see why MoltenMetal needs so much ammo: he misses half of his shots. :)

The AL is a really fun variant, one of my favorite mediums. I run 2 large lasers and 2 mediums pulses with a STD 250 and a bunch of DHS. It's great.

I try this with 3 srm on the gift code centurian... it gets wrecked. Torso twisting seems really hard to accomplish with this brand of mech.

Well, you can accept a smaller engine in the AH if you are willing to trade speed for tankiness.
I much prefer the YLW. I don't like being ammo-locked, especially in a Medium. Ammo is essentially a cap on how much damage you can deal.
Useless, once the AH looses both side torsos it´s a stick.
