Those look really great. When I was in, I always struggled with my shoe shine. Its amazing the amount of shortcuts people will take, hairspray, paint, etc. But these look great!
Thanks so much my shine looks way better me and my friends have been having a competition to see who's is better and I'm about to win lmao
I spent 3 hours shining my shoes. I got 15 points taken off my uniform inspection because my shoes weren’t shiny enough 😔
Hello! Practice makes perfect. I’ve been in the program for a little over 3 years so it took me awhile to get a good grasp on shoe shine. Just be patient and you’ll get your shoes looking good. :)
That sucks😂
😥
So real
Thank you, I have been putting heavy polish on not light amounts. I appreciate the clarification.
You people make it look sooooo easy
Because it is easy 🙁
I thank this guy a lot since I'm going to be a platoon leader. I gotta know how to make my shoes shine
Most helpful vid yet
This is a great video to start learning how to shine your boots
But my unit hasn’t given me shoe yet :/
This was very helpful!
What type of shoes are they? I’m just wondering because I have Rothco dress shoes and I was wondering if you could use the same technique.
This the perfect tutorial
way to flex on us with your apple watch 🤧
I have Air Force Jrotc and others can shine their shoes but it tooken me a few hours and still can't get the shine
LETS GO BRADOON
Thanks for vid Brandon
my pleasure!
Can you do a video of you wearing your service coat and tie?
CartmansFat98 Video coming soon!
Wait when u add shine do u dip it back in water or rub around the shoe then repeat the step
Steps to shine the shoe effectively:
1) Apply a small amount of water into the shoe to moisten the surface
2) Then, apply a small amount of shoe polish onto the surface, moving in circular motions until there are no more swirls
3) Apply more water to the surface and then apply another small coat of polish.
4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 respectively
Happy shining! 😁
@@BrandonYi what do you mean, I have jrotc shoes and mine still look the same, the schools offer shoes that are fake and counterfeited. Counterfeited and fake dress shoes should be banned from all schools.
Idk if you will see this but I’ve had a texture on my shoes and it makes it look less shined do you know how to remove it
Yes use a horsehair brush to bring the shoe shine to the base layer of the shoe and follow the steps in my video
Do yo shine the whole shoe or just the front back??? Please respond I have to shine mine for tomorrow!!!! I don’t know if it’s all or just the front part
Hello, thanks for watching! Please repeat the process for your entire shoe for best results and make sure to put extra effort on your toe box! :)
@@BrandonYi thank you so much, this video helped a lot, I had no idea what to do, but thanks to this they didn’t take points off
Where you get that kind of shoes polish I can’t find it no where
Target, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc.
Black Kiwi Shoe Polish
Does it have to be kiwi polish? I tried it with a different type of polish and idk if I did it for long enough or not but it didn’t shine well
Hey trooper, I’ve tried many different kinds of shoe polish, Kiwi works the best but make sure it’s the standard black gloss and not the parade gloss. Find Kiwi at your local Walmart or Target 😊
@@BrandonYi ahh standard one ok, I’m pretty sure they don’t seek it in target in my country. And Walmart doesn’t exist, I’ll try to find some
Sooo you can't use anything else ? It's a must have wax and stuff?
You can use other brands of black shoe shine, but do not get Parade Gloss. Kiwi shows the best results in my opinion.
this is awesome! Will the water mess up the leather?
Nope
I can't do Justin, please teach me.
So we don’t use nut¿
I'm Ryebread no Ryland
WHAT
The way I do it is to put the shoe polish on then brush the excess off with a horse hair brush then buff it with a shine cloth. It’s always worked for me but damn this is good!
Based off of what you’re telling me, I feel like that would just be a waste of material. The only reason I would use a horse hair brush on dress shoes is if I had to strip many layers of shine off the shoe or to remove dust deposits around the sole. If you get a brand new pair from your unit, I recommend you take the horse hair brush and run it a few times across your pair to get the factory layer off to get a better shine. Besides that, I’m sure you’re doing a great job. Stick to what works best for you! :)
@@BrandonYi I did get a new pair from my unit. I’ve tried other ways but my way works best for me
I tryed itwas working
Glad I could help!
😮
How effective is nut shine?
dude, don’t expose the secret ingredient 🤫
Wtf
Please can I have more videos for you
I had a cadet use damn boot polish for work boots
Should’ve done the tongue too
Should've got some creases into the shoe before! It will crack! 😓
Soooo shine the tip or the whole shoe dont want my chief to yell at me 😭
Shine the whole shoe but focus on the toe box, I would consider that the most important part of shoe shine for JROTC.
