I always enjoyed putting the uniform together, it could be a pain, but it was worth looking sharp. Ironing it was the worst, because sometimes I’d accidentally leave small burn marks, and they’d dock me on them, so I had to be extra careful with my blue shirts. Other than that, it was fun, especially when you start getting awards to decorate your uniform with.
I was looking for a video to show my cadets in kilo, and i happened to find this at the top of the list!!!😂. I now know how to wear a cord. I think i'll make a video too. Thanks!
In my school it’s like a class that you take during school but there’s some stuff that you can do after school like joining a team drill team or if your high school has it a academic team. Most of the stuff you do after school counts as a credit for a ribbon. As I said depends on your school
This is late but good luck bro I’m entering my senior year in afjrotc and I’m a 1st Lt. Just wear the uniform all the time wear it right, do after school activities with rotc to make friends and have fun!
I was watching out of curiosity. I was in Army cadets in Canada for 4 years. A little different. We would train 2 nights a week and weekends and summers. We got 3 uniforms at once. Dress, combat uniform, PT dress. We also got all 3 braches. Air, army, navy. We only get ribbons if we get medals and the only real common medal is the 4 year service medal. Only one I got. I was a Sergeant. Very interesting to what other countries do similarly. And how there uniforms are. Great vid. Btw our medals go on the right instead of the left because they are not considered military decorations but civilian medals instead like ones our fire department or an EMT would wear.
Per the AFJROTC Ops Sup Chapter 7 Attachment 7-11 and 7-12 cadet enlisted grade is, "Worn on both left and right collar, centered side to side and top to bottom." Nowhere in the Ops Sup does it say that the rank is to touch the seam. If you center the rank top to bottom it will not touch the seam (unless you have a lot of stripes, or a small collar). Common cadet mistake. Otherwise a great video. I also teach cadets to use custom cut cardboard and shirt garters.
Hey, if you want to wear your uniform wrong go for it! My comment was more for the other folks so that they weren't teaching their cadets wrong. However, except for this one issue I thought your video was very informative and well done.
I know it's been two years but if you see this, I have a parade I'll be marching in and on the service dress I'm not sure how to get the rank set up since I just got mine two days ago and we haven't had a uniform day so yeah
@@noahdickens260 he did the same for me. I was an AFJROTC Cadet in Gilbert, Arizona at Gilbert HS Unit AZ-941 myself. Also I would not wear adidas socks with Military dress shoes and they usually hand out Hangers for Slacks, Service shirt, and Service coat. Neither did we have suspenders.

You get a cord for joining drill? In my highschool you get a red tab/arc that says drill team and if you go to a drill competition you get a red cord
same in my school.
Ik this is late but AFJROTC does that.
With this shirt stays are not required
Ribbions are not required
Crew neck can be worn while wearing tie
