I had this 2014 Honda Accord two-door coupe pearl white same car and I have to say I love that car Honda did amazing job making this car Honda you're a true winner number one
Really Honda... so Canada gets white AND LEDs in the 6MT... I'm moving. Honda you're hurting my heart. Stop cutting corners to save! If you make it, somebody will buy it!
Actually what happens in Canada is, We get are cars from the country of origin. If you want a Honda, It will be a JDM Sytle Left hand drive care. If you want a BMW, you get the Euro Spec car, With left hand drive. Its manly because of what The American government letting things be imported or now, due to your emissions standards and such. Almost 99% of cars in the USA, were made in the USA, Canada just dont give a fuck! :D
I have this car in a 4 cylinder with 6 speed manual. I paid $400 labor plus $370 parts to change 6th gear to a low 33.5 x 1000 rpm gearing. In other words, my accord 4 cylinder with 6 speed manual transmission now gets 38 mpg @ 65 mph and runs over 100 mph@3000 rpm... Honda makes fantastic products, but could be making MUCH better ones...
I know, here in mexico the coupe its also with led daylights and has 2 projectors, I have no idea but the canadian-mexican headlights are way better than the US
The Altima came out in 1992, the first year I started reviewing cars. ( I know this because it got my vote for canadian Car of the Year in 1992 but the Chrysler 300 won! I still think it was a better car than the Chrysler) I did make one mistake, that car came with a 4-cylinder back then.
I am glad Honda still makes the Accord coupe as well as the V6 model. I have had many Hondas in my life. The only one that sucked was the 1988 Accord hatchback. The only problem with Hondas is that they last forever and many generations go by before you need a new one. I still love my 2006 Honda Element.
Great job Honda. Beautiful car. More car companies need to start making coupes like this one. Like Nissan needs to bring the Altima coupe back with a powerful V6 and a 7 speed manual transmission. The fuel efficiency crap today is so lame. We need more fun cars like this one!
I have a 2013 V6 6MT Coupe (Blue with the two tone white / black interior) In Canada we get the LED projector headlights, but in the US you get the Active Cruise Control which us canucks do not get!
No doubt the V6 2013/14 accord coupes are stunning, but for 35k id much rather have a track V6 genesis coupe (roughly same price), looks and that exhaust note are mesmerizing and of course rwd. Interior, accord wins but overall gen is better priced.
Two things: 1.) The V6 Genesis coupe won't be priced that way for long. 2.) RWD just doesn't work if you need to drive in a state that gets snow and ice during the winter.
And neither will the accord but that goes for most vehicles as they evolve and improve. Well living in California i suppoes i dont have to worry much about snow.
Has it been 21 years? I guess I'm dating myself when I remember you on cable Channel 4 in the early '90s on a different show. That show wasn't about cars though :) Great to see you are enjoying yourself all these years. And you haven't aged much at all :)
@@sporkinstien6571 i owned the car for about 7 years. i loved every minute of it. the car is quick to pass others, has amazing styling and comfy seats. i had to sell because i started a family and the back seat does fit a baby seat but it was not practical to get her in and out so it needed to be sold :(
I wish Honda put the rear wheel wells outside the exterior rear quarter panel; so it expands the trunk more. It'll change the traditional look of the straight back design but brings the Honda prelude trunk back in. Provides a much bigger trunk.
Zack, great review as always. one question for ya. do you know in Canada, consumers have to go back to the dealerships for service in order to keep our new vehicle warranty? like do the government have some sort of guide line/law? thanks.
beautiful car! I live in U,S. and wish we had a white V6 manual.. we only get 3 colors here: black, red & grey.. I live in California and black is too "hot" so I guess grey.. Anyway, great review! love the accord v6 manual and in my opinion (I've had Honda before and never a problem) this is the most reliable car out there. You can get more of this and more of that with other cars but none are as reliable as a Honda accord.
None are reliable as a honda accord? Really?!.....I had a 2003 honda accord coupe v6 which I had to replace the transmission,my friend replaced the transmission on his 2001 accord....My lexus is300 had remained really reliable since 2001 and it's still there, drives like a brand new car.....Now that's reliability.Don't just drive Honda, especially those built in the US or Canada.Get out there & drive other vehicles before saying Honda is the best.......I was once like you.
penvon sorry you had a bad experience with Honda.. but I am not buying anything else, because I have own two Honda's ( a Civic and a Prelude.. together for more then 20 years) and never had a problem.. and you are the first I have ever heard having problems with the transmission.. any way, in my own opinion and experience, Honda makes the best, most reliable cars out there and until I! have a problem with them, I'll keep buying Honda. Ps: Lexus, Toyota are great cars also!
Ha,I'm the only person you heard complain?....Buddy it's been all over the news with those Honda recalls. The Acura TL around 99-2004 was really bad when it came to transmissions,Acura was actually brought to court. Its obvious you have the internet, look up "HONDA TRANSMISSION Problems".Lexus is way better than any honda......Don't get me wrong,I had 2 integras & they were great,a few rust issues but that's about it...But the drive of a Lexus & the reliability for such Luxury is unbelievable......Go search Honda recalls & tranny problems, then get back to me.
penvon I said "my own opinion & experience" why is it so hard to understand.. and I don't care what you or others say, again: my opinion, my money, my choice! Honda. have a good day.
Although LED headlights seem enticing on the Canadian spec they look like a last minute decision. Something pulled from an Acura at the time. The US Spec is better overall.
for 35k, my mom grabbed a 2012 bmw x1 base demo with around 8k on it. No thanks to this if I can grab a bimmer with the same output from an engine and 8 speed zf auto trans, not to mention it's also a bimmer. But I have to say the base model accord with the 4 cylinder and manual is something to think about.
Can anyone comment on the infotainment/navi system in this car? Any good? I do a ton driving to different addresses for work so this is actually pretty important to me.
It sucks. No double wishbones up front or anything comparable. The last true awesome Accord Coupe was the one from 2008 to 2010. Nowadays, a Buick Regal GS with it's HiperStrut front suspension (compact doublewishbone) + manual transmission will walk this thing.... It's sad. No way I'm getting rid of my 2000 Prelude...
hm.... a really nice combo, v6 manual, but the only problem is really the price. But then again, what do you expect? its a v6 not a 4cylinder. Gotta pay for what you get
This "regular" Honda makes the Acura brand look bad in comparison. Honda should get rid of Acura altogether and bring all of it's vehicles under one roof. The name "Honda" is prestigious enough.
Charley Hawkins I don't know where you get this stuff unless you're trying to re-write history. The reasons the industry went to front wheel drive and the only reasons were to make more room in ever shrinking cars and to improve mileage by reducing weight. Cheaper to manufacture? Nonsense. A front wheel drive set up is far more complex. The front wheels bear the burden of steering, braking and motivation via a transaxle. As for snow, it is a well known fact the cars who's engine sits over the drive wheels always get superior traction. I live in snowy New England and have seen more than my share of 4x4 vehicles that crashed into a ditch because he thought his ride would prevent this. If you prefer RWD, that's fine, but don't make up stories.
Charley Hawkins My front wheel drive car has both independent suspension and traction control. It is still superior to any rear drive set up. It is no perception, it is a fact that the weight bias over the drive wheels, either front or rear offers better traction. The old VW Beetles with rear engine and rear drive had the same advantage. Torque steer can only be a problems under hard acceleration. Not very smart in snow situations. As for packaging, I don't buy it. You'd have to prove that to me. I've been reading about cars since the 1960s, got my license in 1971. I've read and seen a profound change in the auto industry in that time. When GM was downsizing their full size cars for the second time during the 1980s, according to what I've always read, it was to maintain as much interior space as possible. At that time, front wheel drive was the logical solution. I never, ever read that it was cheaper to build. That is just a fictitious claim on the part of people who don't like front wheel drive cars. I asked an auto engineer about that, why is there a hump in a front wheel drive car. Although the original domestic front wheel drive cars, the Cadillac Eldorado and Oldsmobile Toronado had completely flat floors. The Honda Civic ,CRR-V and the Lexus RX all have flat floors. Anyway, he said it was done to improve structural rigidity and in some cars, it provides more room for plumbing.
Oh dear Lord try listening to what he's saying. He was comparing the 4dr to the 2dr and they put an image of a white 4dr to see the difference between the 2 cars.
But transmissions do! Of course you could get good mpgs with a manual if u tried but in reality especially when your mated to a v6, your gonna wanna rev the gears out higher and have more fun. Whereas steady constant throttle and lower shift points on an automatic, in everyday driving you will get bettet mpgs in an automatic
NIce, only MAJOR problem HONDA still allows is that OLD fashioned pull hand brake (terrible) especially when you see FORD cars are standard with electric brakes. HONDA you can do better! MUCH better!
They leave it in place because thank God the engineers still have the driving enthusiasts in mind . I constantly use mine and wouldn't want it any other way !
Yeah Mikey - stay with your Ford's electric braking system. Whatever rocks your boat. There are enough electronics as it is in today's cars - if / when they go, they're not exactly inexpensive to diagnose, nor fix.

U better upgrade ur insurance to have rental car n have extra cash for maintenance. Then when ur BMW get around 100,000 miles U will spend more time at the shop
LMAO, that's like comparing an apartment with a condo. One is regular, one is luxury, both cars are in different leagues. You can't compare the two side-by-side.
+Aaron M. An apartment is a type of building living space. A condo is a type of ownership, which can be a apartment, a store for a business, even a boat slip in a marina. No one is comparing the two cars in terms of price, handling and/or overall luxury. But I can tell you, similarly equipped, the BMW will cost nearly twice as much. The only comparison anyone made here was in terms of long term longevity. As someone who has owned both Honda and BMW cars, in general there is no contest here. The Honda is much more likely to be much more reliable in the long term.
The poor color choices will keep me out of this one. Too bad.....but I can't drive a car with a black interior in Florida. I may look for a used '08 that came with a blue exterior/tan interior.
The white v6 with tan/black interior turns heads on the road. I know, Ive driven all colors. :) I've driven over a million cars, and this is by far the best all around coupe on the planet.
Hondas are soo over rated, it bores the world to death. so many people have them like its the only car in the world to own. seriously, do ppl want to keep buying the same car that has been coming out before cell phones year after year? ppl are just racing a family sedan...go buy a real sports car or race car..not just a family sedan with 'sport' logo..Hondas have been played to death
What else can I say. The Honda Accord is an amazing car all around. Looks, performance and price, it's a win win...
I own this car and I'm quite happy 🇨🇦
Same here, it's just awesome :D
I do too and I love it!
Peter Pappas hdga
This car looks WAY better than a genesis.
I agree completely

I don't get why Honda didn't give the US version the LED headlights.
I know, here in mexico the coupe its also with led daylights and has 2 projectors, I have no idea but the canadian-mexican headlights are way better than the US
yep mine dont have it :(
I wonder if it was a US Federal regulation type thing? Were LEDs allowed here in 2013? I dont know, just a thought.
regulations
Canada get LEDS on the coupe!!!! Wtf!!!!
2008 is the most handsome accord ever ! Also the cb7
I disagree / 2006-2007 stood out more. 2008 relaxed the look somewhat, more conservative.
I love this Honda Accord pearl white there's nothing wrong with this car Honda did amazing job making this car job well done Honda excellent
On honda's website, you can add sideskirts and spoilers and make it look beautiful!
You do not have to go to the dealer but you do have to do, and record, the scheduled maintenance.
WOW the coupe looks badass with those LED lights and ebony interior. I love this car in that pearl white.

Very nice review. I have a 4 cyclinder still night pearl (blue) EX-L with two tone seats and I love it to pieces. Its responsive and good on fuel!
One thing the reviewer forgot to mention is that the manual transmission version gives you a V6 WITHOUT VCM (so you always have 6 cylinders firing).
Great job Honda. Beautiful car. More car companies need to start making coupes like this one. Like Nissan needs to bring the Altima coupe back with a powerful V6 and a 7 speed manual transmission. The fuel efficiency crap today is so lame. We need more fun cars like this one!

wow... canada gets Black interior with white... thats what i wanted and cant get in california
Me too, black interior is only with the grey and silver Color:(
i got mine tiger eye pearl with black leather interior

Listen to a Honda V6, it sounds better
the reason i picked this over the genisis is Canadian winters lol

I got a 2010 accord v6 exl coupe i think 2010 is the best model of accord so far.
eww
+Eternal Gamer 2013 and up look smaller
honda has a well established racing history
Beautiful car. Especially in white and black.
Have a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe. Love the car. Great review! Good to see not much has changed with the 2014.
I'm looking into getting a 2014 ex-l coupe! How was your experience?
@@sporkinstien6571 i owned the car for about 7 years. i loved every minute of it. the car is quick to pass others, has amazing styling and comfy seats. i had to sell because i started a family and the back seat does fit a baby seat but it was not practical to get her in and out so it needed to be sold :(
My next car. BUT, I hope they have addressed the oil consumption issues with their V6's.

my first car is a 2004 honda accord v6 coupe and i think this car looks very sexy ..im a fan of honda civics and accords!
I would take this over a SI any day Way more power fun to drive and can beat up on a lot of cars on the free way !
2014 Honda Accord Coupe V6 manual vs. a 2012 Acura TL SH-AWC manual. Which one would you go with Zack Spencer
i have the White one and is always Clean :)
Definitely my dream car
Great review! I hope Honda never stops offering their V6, although it seems inevitable by the next-gen Accord perhaps.
I’m not Nostradamus but I hear Honda is going to 4 cylinder turbos in 2018. Still offering manual transmission though.
Looks like you were right.
Right you are. It was released late 92 as a 1993 model.
I'd love to have the V6 manual transmission...nothing like driving a manual. I've always have driven a stick till my current Honda.
great review man, keep up the great work!
Zack, great review as always.

I’ve got a 2015 it’s my first car I live it
it looks nice inside
Zack, great review.
Is Nissan Canada not selling 2014 Quest anymore? It doesn't show in their website nissan.ca
I love this car...I want a white or black one.

i say this because i have one and love it.
Although LED headlights seem enticing on the Canadian spec they look like a last minute decision. Something pulled from an Acura at the time. The US Spec is better overall.

Agreed tho. Type r version
Actually the Genesis V6 coupe is only about a half second faster
The 348HP Genesis is actually quite slow despite all the power on tap.
The Hyundai drops resale fast and doesnt hold up as well as this Accord.

okay, that is what i thought. thank you =)

The only comparison anyone made here was in terms of long term longevity. As someone who has owned both Honda and BMW cars, in general there is no contest here. The Honda is much more likely to be much more reliable in the long term.
Chillllllllllllll b, why you gotta attack me.
OVER RATED WAY WAY OVER PRICED FOR SOME HONDA. THEY NEED TO DIG THEMSELVES.
***** I know right????
Car is just a little bit too long...
good quality bad design
Hondas are soo over rated, it bores the world to death. so many people have them like its the only car in the world to own. seriously, do ppl want to keep buying the same car that has been coming out before cell phones year after year? ppl are just racing a family sedan...go buy a real sports car or race car..not just a family sedan with 'sport' logo..Hondas have been played to death
i hate honda
