This headset is legit, the dual Chamber Drivers separate the sounds like explosions over foot steps, the sound is much cleaner than the Cloud II. I’m gonna pick up the Dolby 7.1 sound card made for the hyperx revolver s which I heard could further enhance the audio experience by some how giving each object in game their own sound, not sure how that works but gonna listen for myself! If you have the cloud 2 usb dongle it works for the alpha too. Overall this headset gives more detail at the same price for the cloud 2.

Hello HyperX , is this bigger than the previous cloud ? , I had to buy the stinger because the cloud series is small even with the head band fully extended ... I tried them both , the stinger is ok but I'm searching for something better .

HyperX I love my new cloud alphas and it only has one small issue, people can hear an echo of themselves because my mic picks up my headset even with low volume

Hi, i have cloud 2 and i want to use it in ps4 via usb. But the usb control box (sound card) isnt working perfectly with ps4 as it shouldnt. Is there separate usb control box what would work with cloud 2 and ps4?
HI! Currently, the USB control box that comes with the Cloud Revolver S is fully supported on PS4. You could try purchasing the Revolver S USB control box separately from our website to use on your cloud II , but since it was specifically designed for the Cloud Revolver-S, YMMV.

Would like a HyperX staff to answer this: Is it worth upgrading from the Cloud 2 to Alpha? I want a honest opinion from the team that worked on it, not a tehnical spec comparation.
We think so, but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. There are a few difference that may make the decision to pick one or the other easy. Cloud II is USB powered, with 7.1 and additional ear pads. Alpha has a detachable cable, even comfier earpads, it's 3.5mm with inline control and features the new dual chamber drivers. Both come with a travel bag. Dual chamber drivers will give you higher highs and lower lows, offering a larger audio spectrum. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your answer! As I see it, for the same price as the Cloud 2, it Cloud be worth it [get it? get it?]. I'll wait till they are in the local shop to test them out first. If they are better than may Cloud 2 (that i already praise), no doubt ill get the Alpha.
Hello @HyperX team, what headphones is better for you, on your opinion. Because every headset has its advantages, cloud 2 has surround sound, alpha has better sound. I dont have none of this headset but i will like to buy some. And the last qwestion: will you make the next generation of this Alpha, for expample alpha2 with 7.1, if it is in your plan i directly will buy them. Will you upgrade the cloud 2 in near future? You can use the Cloud II or Revolver S USB dongle to add 7.1 surround sound to the Alphas. They are both compatible

I've only used Tritton Pro+ in the past. Is this going to be better than them? I can't see how plugging a headset into a controller is better than using the optical out from the Xbox?

The Alpha is a stereo headset, so will not provide the same surround experience as provided by the Tritton Pro+, however the experience should be better with the Alpha, as the build quality and comfort should be superior due to the metal frame and memory foam, the braided cable alleviates tangles, and the bass will be clearer due to the Dual Chamber technology.
Are any of your headsets True 7.1 surround compatible w/ Xbox one?

HyperX das ist mir auch bewusst ich weiß nur nicht wie ich dieses ohne Kabel benutzen kann (also Bluetooth)
Leider ist es nicht möglich das Cloud Alpha Headset ohne Kabel zu benutzen.

Are you asking about the velour ear pads? The cloud I ear pads are not compatible with the Alpha.

Can you swap the earcups with the velour ones from the Cloud II?
Unfortunately you cannot use the velour ear pads of the Cloud II for the Cloud Alpha as these have a slightly different shape and size.

Why in the world would you take the foam barrier out of the ear piece? I watched a video on these and the perforated silver ring was clearly visible. If this is true, there is no longer a small cushion between ears and the headset inside the can. Being that the cans don't appear to be much deeper in dimension, this would mean that these are less comfortable than the Cloud Core model??? If the lack of padding is indeed the case, will you at least offer earpads with a foam layer to bridge the gap? I have these pre-ordered, but I'm going to cancel/return if my assessment is accurate and there is no way to address the issue..
Bottom line, Sound quality is definitely important, but all of that is worthless if you're distracted only 20 minutes in by an uncomfortable/painful design.

Pros: Slightly better sound. slightly better(if not exactly the same) mic in terms of recording quality. In-line volume control. Easily accessible mute control. Same durable/rugged design, but more aesthetically pleasing.
Cons: less noise cancellation than Core model. The softer leather/memory foam earpads would normally be on the Pros side, but since there is no foam barrier between your ear and the cans, they assist in making these almost unwearable after 30-45 minutes for those with larger ears such as myself. At higher volumes the mic picks up sound from the cans at a threshold about 25% lower volume than that of the Core model(i.e. teammates hear your game sound such as gunshots in a fire fight at lower volumes than that of the core model)
Conclusion: I will be returning mine. I was super hyped for these. After testing them out, my personal opinion is that there was a lot of oversight in the designing of this headset. I will swear by everything in the Cloud series except for the Alpha model. If you want to upgrade to a great headset model without breaking the bank and you would like to avoid skipping into a realm of headsets that cost more for merely new and updated aesthetic designs, just get the Cloud II model. More comfort, almost unnoticeable difference in sound/recording quality. WAY more control of sound with it's inline controls. Pretty much everything I expected from the Cloud Alpha and more.
I got myself these for Christmas and they're great, my only problem is that the mic is picking up the audio coming from the headset somehow even when the volume is pretty low, it only doesn't pick it up when it's really low. I'm using them on my Xbox One plugged straight into my controller without an adapter as it has an audio jack input. Does anyone know how to fix this if you can?
Just to add more info on the mic picking up audio from the headset even at low volumes, I can see it doing so in an Xbox Party with Chat Overlay on and my friend keeps telling me that he can hear exactly everything in videos I'm watching on UA-cam
Hey there Scouse ATOM, try making sure the AUX cable is plugged in all the way so there is no gray on the cord showing. Give that a try first then hit us back up again.

Yeah it was fully plugged in, I had to turn it around which makes a crackly noise. It still picks up audio in the mic sometimes now but only slightly, it's not a problem now because I know how to fix it when it does it
Hello HyperX I'm looking to get one of your headsets. But I don't know which one is for me to be honest what I want from a headset is bass which can hold itself nicely over other in game audio and still being able to hear the crisp audio notes to whilst having possibly a noise cancelling microphone? Depending on the device the microphone will work if the headset is connected directly with the main cable.
