OMG...This thing....maybe a good pressure washer not so much in a golf cart. I'm limited as far as on space. I would like to put a medical mikuni carburetor in it. The carburetor set up from performance 670. My seat will come down on top of the carburetor. I put a $38 Chinese carburetor on it now and it's not filing plugs. It's working a little bit but it's still still not running right?
Canada, Ontario:) 2001 Shadow Ace 750 - just purchased...carb never touched (A/F caps still on)...hear they run lean? I was thinking of adjusting the A/F screws a 1/4 at a time...Any suggestions? Bike rides, and start well - just decel popping and sometimes a bit backfire

Pertaining to your carb fuel/air adjustment at 10:24 into video, I'm a newbie have a XR650R carb on my XR650L but I noticed this carb does not have that screw you're talking about the only adjusting screw is on the bowl which is probably the overflow screw. How do I remedy lean or rich issues in this case?
Are you in Michigan

Hello... my name is Leon Fernandes and I am msging you half way around the world from India. I have subscribed to your channel and watch most of your videos... very informative and educational 👍. I ride a Honda CB350F and have done loads of adjustments to the carbs and after my last adjustments I think I have raised the floats a wee bit too high... and now I believe that has made my A/F mixture rich. Is that possible??

Made perfect sense and answered my question exactly! Thanks very much Mate! I wondered why one of my mix adjustments didn't seem to make much difference. Can't believe you hit my problem right on.
Thanks again!
Just bought my suzuki Intruder 800, Loving it. Your vids give the most incise info and make it easy to try it myself. I have basic motor understanding, but know the electrics well and have rewired a GSX 1100. I have deceleration firing, will follow your other vid on how to fix that. Im from South Africa btw.
In 2008, I bought a 2003 Honda Shadow VLX 600. I've added many things to it since I bought it. I bought a tachometer that's mounted in between the handlebar risers, I also put a heel shifter attachment on it as well. I belong to an online VLX forum. I bought a 750 Aero gas tank from one of the members who included the tank mounted speedometer, the electrical speed sensor and the plug to wire up the speedometer, as well. I learned how to paint the gas tank black with spray cans from someone on UA-cam and it turned out great with a mirror finish. I have a small shop in my basement and fabricated the new mounts for the gas tank and the mounts for a solo seat I made for myself. I also added more foam padding on the rear seat and backrest for my wife and made a cover for it. I haven't got around to it yet, but I bought a jet kit to rejet the carb from TJ Brutal Customs I also bought from TJ an extended idle mixture screw that is accessible under the carb fuel bowl. In the 11 years I've had this bike I put almost 25,000 miles on it. and almost at 35,000 miles. It's still running fine and I love it.
Hi Cody..enjoy your videos...i wonder if you can help. I have a kawasaki zr1100 that performs well sometimes and then not other times. I ride to work every day 30 miles. when it feels right it pulls like a train then the next day bogs down when accelerating.and pops when decelerating..I feel this bogging also if I leave the choke on to long..mind you this signals me to take the choke off. Not sure if that means something...I have stripped and clean the carbs a number of times even had them ultra sonicly cleaned professionally all float needles been replaced and float heights checked. I have pod filters and used a jet kit also proformance exhaust.as I said it runs fine then bogs...any advice would be appreciated....puzzled.
Cheers..love the channel.
My!
Does anyone know what a 1973 cb500 four air screw should be set at
Love and appreciate your vids MD tuning in from New Zealand
Wondered if your getting across? Yes, you are I understood relating to my issues, Thanks Tim

great vids has helped me heeps with my gsf1200 96
Learning a ton from you - even tho im on a Yamaha DT175 - keep Rocking !!
"They used tree limbs to clean their carb."
I love it, haha.
Can carb cause deceleration backfire? It is Honda CRF230F 2004. I have heard that decel backfire can mean it needs top end, however I do know the carb needs to be rejetted and tuned and probably cleaned. Reason I ask is the bike belongs to my friend, he is selling but I want to know what the chance is it needs expensive top end.
Sorry for long comment, Thanks watching from South Africa
90% of time carb is the cause of deceleration backfire. Other then failed pair check valves and EVAP systems.
