In this quick video, DIYNate shares his simple approach (after Googling since it isn't very intuitive) to resetting his Sunbeam microwave clock in a short-term rental property. With this particular model (Sunbeam SGCMV807BK-07), the steps are below:
• Most importantly (and the thing that kept tripping me up), hit Stop-Clear button first
• Next, hold the Clock / Timer button until you hear a beep and the display shows Hr 12
• Then, input your time in 12 hour format
• Finally, click Clock / Timer button again (beep should confirm) to set the time
With other microwaves, usually some simple clicking and holding of the clock / timer button activates the clock input. The microwave designers may have had some reason for this (e.g., to keep kids from changing the time), but for most of us common folks, we don't want to have to consult a user manual or check the internet to figure out how to update our clock timing after a power outage or unplugging the microwave. So, hoping this video helps with your frustration - feel free to share your gripes in the comment section!

I have the same microwave but still can't reset the time . When we got the microwave my honey tried and it didn't work well . We have 2126 on where the time suppose to be. We've tried several times , unplugging n re plugging to leaving unplugged for days . Many times it beeps back to four digits an counts down like a clock does . I sure could use some help . Thank you
Hope you got it figured out! I just had to rewatch / reuse my own video, and holding that clock time button until it beeps is the key. Once you reprogram the time, hitting that button one more time should do the trick.
