my microwave has a clock which is incorrect and does not have a clock button... its a microwave from walmart but idk which company made the microwave...
I have a Rival microwave and it's about 8 to 10 years old and the correct way that worked for my microwave and by the way I did set the time before only it wouldn't work this time. What I had to do was unplug the microwave and then plug it back in and everything reset and then I pressed the clock button and then was able to key in the time from the number pad and then press clock again and it's working now.
Thank you. At least you didn't talk in technical terms like some of the videos. I have a Hamilton Beach and I still cannot figure out how to set "seconds" on it. Everything is in minutes.

For an old microwave that we’ve had for about 10 years, still in working condition, it has a button with a timer/clock on it, so I was wondering how do we set the clock in case of like a power outage or something
You can't really set a temperature with a microwave oven. Microwave ovens just produce microwaves at a single intensity to excite the molecules in your food, which produces heat. You can use "power levels" which really just turn the magnetron tube off an on at different intervals. A power level of 10 (or 100) means the oven is producing microwaves to cook your food 100% of the time. A power level of 3 (or 30) means the oven is really only producing microwaves 30% of the time and NOT cooking anything for 70% of the time.

We have a Sunbeam microwave from '78 that still works! Things were made better back then.
Yeah, I can't figure out how to change my clock, even though there's a button with the word clock on it…. Sure…
So what to do when it doesn't change? Keeps reverting back to the old time whether one or 2 clock push. Ticking me off.

this doesnt work for my oster microwave?
The microwave start after 5 min then shut down restart after it cool down. It doesn't warm the food . Help please
