Definitely some interesting stuff out there. Steve Ramsey did a video on the captured mail in a board a number of years ago that was dedicated just to that. It was pretty cool. Love your channel and all of the crazy stuff that you do John.

I mean people need to understand some videos and projects take months to make, and in addition to UA-cam you also operate a business making furniture which is more important than the channel. Not for us outsiders to decide how you operate and run your businesses, keep up the good work
What's funny is that the complainers that want projects only are apparently just the vocal minority since project videos consistently have less views. Me personally, I could watch this knucklehead shit all day lol
Ya'll should fo a video build of a custom arcade cabinet for the shop - a nice flush cabinet holding a 55" screen, 4 seater wide with stools, built in joysticks/buttons (ebay/microcenter) and cupholders, recess sound and lighting... that's a woodworking project I want to work my way up to. Love the channel and content!
I've seen the screw puzzle done differently before by gently cracking the end off along the grain so that it fan be glued back with almost no trace, as well. But watching ye squish and reform it with boiling water was pretty impressive, gotta say I didn't expect that!!!
Wood is mostly air. The cells are tubes actually. So you can compress wood then rise it back up with hot water. It you want to see something really crazy watch the video where NileRed makes wood translucent. He bleaches the color out of it. He calls it transparent. That may be too charitable.
The rocker makes me think of those little wood sheet things you pop out and put together to make a flamingo or lion. A giant one of those would be awesome.

Yup. Could also add retractable stoppers to the bottom if you want a regular chair. Maybe alter the shape of the armrest area a bit too for more comfort.
I'm really glad you struggled with the captured nail thing. I watched the Steve Ramsey video years ago and copied it, I ran into literally all the problems you did, its not as easy as it looks! But it got done. Thanks for showing all the mistakes, that's good content
I see that you changed your dust collector since the install video of the new shop. Any chance at getting a new video on the machine and why you changed?
"am i not making something here" YES a cnc is just a tool like a table saw, its still hand made even if you let a computer make cuts for you, let the haters hate cause they dont have one!
CNC is hand made because you do have to touch off the workpiece. Least that's what I tell everyone. There is skill in setting the origin. Unless you have a probe. Then it is debatable. I don't happen to have a touch off probe myself.
Wowers that's crazy. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work John and the gang. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. Stay squirrely. God Bless.
To answer your question, yins hasn't built hardly at all in the last few videos, and a lot of us'ns watch hoping to see a project from start to finish to inspire us on our own projects.
was that some Pittsburgheese I heard? (6:27) I think it wassssss Edit: Saw your last video, your content gets buried unless ya do tik toks, but ya i knew it, then saw Bikes and Beards and knew.
Instead of putting a screw into the dowel for the sander, just put the end of the dowel into the drill. I had to do something like that and it worked for me. I'm newish, so is that actually a bad idea? I really don't know.
If anyone questioned how large you are compared to the average human on social media, i think the dude curling up in what looked like an oversized rocker that you then sat in and made it look like a 1/2 scale rocker pretty much says it lol
@@Blake91818 once you've taken work off a CNC machine putting it back to take another cut is not trivial. You need to use a 3D touch probe to get the work aligned again. Sometimes, the reason why you'd need to know how to make the drill sander, is bc you're COMPLETELY out of money, & even credit. So you CAN'T just "go buy the dremmel." Been there, done that. It sucks.
I think the boiling of that comb shaped piece of wood is stupid. Just breaking the wood and gluing it back after inserting the nail or screw would have same effect

23 ❤ nice rocker, I created the slip together 1/25 scale balsa wood doll house furniture years ago. Good to see they scaled them for adult size.

Just found you brother. I’m basically at day 2 of binge watching your content
Since you can steam wood and make plywood furniture, you should make an Eames style bent plywood chair.
I wanna see John try out some of the jankiest Crafty Panda "hacks" next.
Some foam and cloth on the chair for padding. Then bike tire on the legs. For grip and a wear surface.
Would be really cool to see you make some games. Like a pool table or ski ball, things that you don’t see alot of people making 💁🏻♂️
Pool tables have large thick pieces of slate in them. So they're more of a mixed media than a strictly woodworking project.
Your dimensions were too close on the chair which made it a tight fit but I do admit that looks like a fun project
That's actually really neat. I hope Andrew gets all the recognition possible for that dope design
Man every time i hear you say yins im automatically transported back to my apartment i had in PA, first time i heard someone say it i laughed so hard

Anyone know where he got the Nick Offerman picture in his shop? Would love to have one of those for mine.
Maybe some sewing tiktoks for the next video? 😉
With the sanding dowel, just chuck the dowel itself, no half screw to ruin your chuck
That's what I do and I just cut a slot in the dowel to hold the sandpaper. It can flap around. It tightens up when it's on the work anyways.
You worked so hard on that rocker that you ripped your pants.
I just put a slot in a dowel, slip a strip of sandpaper in the slot and chuck the dowel up. It's cheaper than those sanding drums.
The fact that you boiled water in a cast iron Dutch oven totally ruined it.
