How is the spark generated when there is only one wire exiting the piezo electric crystal housing, and there isn't a return path to its other contact (the big round knob)? The main body is plastic and the gas hose is rubber.
I got a black small rubber little eraser head looking thing I thought it went at the base of the push button down low but I'm not seeing it on your same colored lighter cuz mine does it go up top underneath the plastic shell?
Mine seems to be leaking from somewhere inside the top part.. could it be thst i just need to push that hose back down? I was using it and the flame went out and it started coming out of everywhere else pretty much lol
They all have such a strong Springs my fingers get sore and they’re really loud, clicking wires. Can you refer me to a different one that’s not so loud in the spring strong.? PLEASE!!!❤
Hi there! I am having trouble with my flame lock locking. It will lock the torch button but not all the way so the flame goes out. I can’t find anything about how to fix this. Thank you!
The piece locking it might just have worn itself out completely. It's just a small (surprisingly small) bit of plastic. That usually is the only reason it doesn't stop working, but rather slowly inching towards that all together. Either replace it with another dead lighter or replace lighter all together.
HEY! I have a question.. I've been searching everywhere.. What can I do/where can I get replacement torch tips? the little brass vented tip has fallen out of 2 separate lighters for me, now. usually after running for a bit, when they're hot. I know thermodynamics = metal expands when hot. so I assume it was due to that... but thing is, if they hit the ground, good luck finding it.. lolol how can I fix this and/or prevent it later
Edit: Noticed my comment is very long. Simply put; I was wondering the diameter of hose that carries the butane to the head. Thanks Original comment: Hey, I appreciate the video & am hoping you could do me a favour. I have a torch that is very similar, and the internals are almost exactly the same. A friend gave me it as a gift, modified a store bought torch to have a custom casing with writing on it (my name, our lucky number, and a little inside joke). I have taken it apart and put it back together in the past with no issues, however last time it wasnt lighting properly I took it apart and somehow lost the hose (mentioned at 1:00). Other than buying a new torch and using that hose (which might be the move) I was wondering if you knew where to get one, and/or if you'd be able to get the diameter of the hose and let me know so I can buy something similar enough to work. I've had other torches in the past with cracked/torn tubes, tubes that were too loose and just didn't work properly etc... and they've all been thrown out or replaced, but doing that with this one just isn't possible.
im having trouble with my lighter whenever i try and light it there isnt any click and the fluid doesnt get lit but i can hear the fluid coming from the tip any solutions?
It sounds like the part that makes the spark is bad if you can hear fluid coming out One way to check is to touch the part that sparks and see if you get a little shock when you click it or see if there's a spark at the tip when you click it One thing of note is that if you have the fluid set too high it might not ignite either because there's too much fluid coming out Also you need to make sure that the y shaped prong is in contact with the metal pieces that extend down on the black button as well
@@Dude90077 someone really needs to buy a some 🍺.. and thanks for your video.. because I have 3 torch lighters that doesn't work because it doesn't click push down on the button and it doesn't go all the way down like it used to when it was new and now after watching this video maybe I can get them to work again them lighters are not really cheap like bic lighters. Bic lighters are from $1.25-$3.00 torch lighters are 3 fingers half a pint of blood two half cups of spit and 10 boogers.. that's $5-25 dollars..
Thankyou; fixed :
It was the "lever".
I use it for shrinkwrap on projects.

Buy a new torch. If you like your old torch take the defuser out of the new one and put it in your old one
Nice but how do you take apart the piece that the flame comes out of? That assembly is always problematic…
I don't see a spring in yours. Mine has a tiny spring and I don't know where it goes.
Thank bud
No problem

How do you replace the filler valve gasket?
You're going to be out of luck on that one
The gasket at the bottom is fitted in there and once it goes you can't replace it
Thanks broo
Mine dumping fuel out the bottom at a fast pace when right side up
The rubber ring is toast time for a new lighter
@Dude90077 okay thank you I'll just save the parts for spare pieces any good method to taking the push trigger from the piezo igniter
No not the same one as I got
