Thank you! I was about to throw out my eagle torch. It always had a low flame issues. I purged the whole lighter first and refilled. Then found this video. Life saver!
Excellent close-up video showing all the details, and thorough explanation. Thanks! Looking forward to resurrecting my useless lighter. Thanks again! (Update: It worked! But that metal piece fell out, and I didn't put it back in right. The flame wouldn't shut off! I moved it down more on the valve that opens to let fuel pass, and that worked. Whew! Thanks again!)
These can develop a “vapor lock” which has to be purged by inverting the lighter and sticking a paper clip on the fill valve to release the pressure. Also I cleaned the front nozzle with thinner and a brush to remove unseen residue buildup. And this worked great. No screwing around needed.
I seem to get a problem with the balance isnt in synch with the ignition switch sparks too early no fuel. Bend arms up on the u shaped lever that wraps around switch so gas is releasing the spark occurs
Perfect! Knew how to move the gas but didn’t know where the metal clip was supposed to be as it all flew apart when I opened it. Lit right up after I secured the clip to the base of the butane rubber tube. Thanks!
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES BROSEPH!!! I have had my eagle torch for probably 5 or 6 years and it's been reliable af up until my last move to a new place. Your pro tip got her back in action!!
Just so everyone knows, doing this isn't always going to fix your lighter! In fact, this is only going to fix the ones that have a low flame or problems with not enough gas. In my experience, most of the time it's the ignition switches that go bad and good luck finding those!!! I have a graveyard of parts and I take them apart all the time and use something from one to fix another but if the ignitor switch is bad then it's not going to work no matter what you do until you replace the switch. Good luck guys!
@@iceebalboa3177 I definitely remember those days especially when you put it up really high and someone asks for your lighter and the flame burns off their eye brows!

Didn't help mine. Just got it worked for about a minute and a half then stopped. It's full of butane won't light even using a lighter, butane no longer comes out even though I can see it in the lighter.
The flame of my this type of lighter grow smaller n smaller even after I refilled it full. Luckily and thankfully l found your video and follow your method; n now the flame is restored back to its original size. Thank you

I've got a trick for people to try. Turn your lighter backwards with the torch piece facing to the right. Have the gas all the way up or nearly at the max. An then literally just start walking in one direction (just enough to create a little air passing by) and at the same time start pressing the ignition. Try it a few times and I swear 8 times out of ten 10 it'll work... That is as long as the only problem your torch has, is that the butane won't ignite from the spark. If it has no spark; then obviously it isn't going to work regardless. Torches I thought were done an needed to be trashed have worked after using that odd trick. One more little trick is to leave the torch out in the sun for a little while till the butane inside heats up enough to catch the spark with ease. Good luck with these damned things. Frankly I advise just buying a blue or yellow butane canister and a torch top with an ignition built in. Not very good for public just tho lol
my neighbor gave me here jet torch lighter because she quit smoking and its a nice piece and all but i find the flame high setting not high enough for my liking, thought about taking it apart to do that trick but i can only find one screw on the top of the lighter head that sit on this elongated metal plate with a hole on the other side which sits over the top the nozzle and cup flame assembly and when i tried slowly prying the plate up after removing the screw it started pulling up the cup and nozzle and i stopped because im worried it would pull it off the gas line and would either never be the same or id have a hard time putting it together in proper working condition, i did not even want to attempt this but wanted to give it a try and see how far i could go in order to reach that adjustment lever ,anyways i pushed it back in and put the screw on , guess ill only try this if it fails me one day and i got nothing to lose trying again

GREAT VIDEO THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO ADVICE. WHAT HAPPens to my eagle lighters sometimes is the thumb trigger starts slipping and eventually goes bad . i dont know how to replace. if you could show us how to replace that it would be great..thx so much
CAUTION: After performing this type of repair, take your torch outside to a place with ready access to water and wear safety glasses for your initial post-fix testing. This type of repair can be what you need, but sometimes it is not and can cause your torch to produce a flame in excess of what it was designed to accommodate resulting in an immediately dangerous situation.
Can you do an instructional video on how to refill one of those lighter? I just bought my first one and have no clue on how to refill it once it needs more fluid.
hello sir, I bought a 3flame torch lighter from China and it worked perfect for 2 days and now suddenlly its not torch (just regular light) and after 2~4second huge flame!!!!!!! comes out and almost burned my hand.....even I fill it its not the torch anymore and I cannot keep light it up because eventually it make huge flame.... but I love this lighter is there way to fix it?
Lol same lighter... I think I'll just adjust it, without taking it apart... Maybe I won't get the lever back on but I should be able to work with that... Thanks...
I had a problem with a gas station eagle lighter, turns out the lil rubber hose slipped the valve it was attached to and the fluid was just coming out in the cap before the spark ⚡️
It's NOT the flame adjuster slipping. Its the aluminum piece that is connected to the push button. Its cheap aluminum and bends easily each time you use the lighter. Bend it back and all is well. Or keep unscrewing the flame adjuster and burn your house down
People just ramble on and on... Take one side off pull the red valve thing up and make sure it's not going to turn that white valve with the serrated/knurled edges, pull it all the way to the right or what ever way is plus. Obviously if you turn it to far and try to put the case back on it won't slide into the slot... So keeping that in mind, pull right, pick back up again same sequence only pull it to the left place back on valve , pull right. Put case back on again. Good to go!
OK I just passed a part. Where are you stuttered and it sounded as if you got frustrated at yourself for stuttering, let me just suggest to you this: I used to stutter a lot when I was in high school or around that age and I used to get very mad at myself for sounding “slow” and wish I could not help, but guess what in my mind that’s where I already lost is that I thought I could not help it. But guess what I could help it by focusing on it, and trying to slow down when speaking so that I can fully process my words mentally and smoothly, deliver my thoughts out into the real world. Yes, what until this day I am not perfect. Sometimes I stutter I mean that’s human nature. We all have stuttered before at least once I don’t care who lives on here and says that they haven’t, but what I’m trying to say is that I significantly reduced my stuttering by doing this. I very much, so I hope that you do not take my compliments negatively. All in all they sound very freaking negative, but again as a brother (I consider almost all UA-camrs as my family members solely because it is very hard to be a UA-camr because of many reasons, including one of those reasons being the topic, we are discussing right now, in this very comment)
Brilliant. Now I feel like a smart person instead of a hoarder. I have a drawer full of broken ones I just couldn't part with lol. Not to mention i sometimes use them together for the fluid with one that sparks. I have a good two hours worth of lighter repairs lol At least now I won't have to buy anymore of those ridiculously expensive but convenient to buy lighters.

GREAT VIDEO THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO ADVICE. WHAT HAPPens to my eagle lighters sometimes is the thumb trigger starts slipping and eventually goes bad . i dont know how to replace. if you could show us how to replace that it would be great..thx so much
I'm working on that right now as a matter of fact going to add some videos about the lighter soon thanks for the comment and ideas
Brilliant instructions DD! Thank you!
My pleasure!
--> BTW
“Something like THIS” yep very informative.
Don't you threaten me with a good time!
Thank you ik where the silver thing goes now. Now I just need to find where the long silver one goes.
Any fix for the eagle pen torch lighter??
Can you do an instructional video on how to refill one of those lighter? I just bought my first one and have no clue on how to refill it once it needs more fluid.

@@Dude90077 Thanks a lot. I appreciate that.
hello sir, I bought a 3flame torch lighter from China and it worked perfect for 2 days and now suddenlly its not torch (just regular light) and after 2~4second huge flame!!!!!!! comes out and almost burned my hand.....even I fill it its not the torch anymore and I cannot keep light it up because eventually it make huge flame.... but I love this lighter is there way to fix it?
I have a gas inside the same torch as you have but smaller model but no flame coming out do you know what I should do? Thanks for this useful video!
No idea on that one
I thought I was just out of juice. But this worked great thank so much
Glad it helped!
Thank you...very helpfull..keep on doing good videos

Cigar and speed smokers, unite!!!!!
Lol same lighter... I think I'll just adjust it, without taking it apart... Maybe I won't get the lever back on but I should be able to work with that... Thanks...
fixed my shit thanks hell yeah brother !!
Yeah I need to see the little silver 2 pronged piece and where it needs to be
I had a problem with a gas station eagle lighter, turns out the lil rubber hose slipped the valve it was attached to and the fluid was just coming out in the cap before the spark ⚡️
my problem exactly, i fixed it by pushing down the hose a bit and bending the opening hinge back to its factory position and it worked perfectly
THANK YOU. i love these lighters, but the flame always goes weak after awhile
Yes they do
It's NOT the flame adjuster slipping. Its the aluminum piece that is connected to the push button. Its cheap aluminum and bends easily each time you use the lighter. Bend it back and all is well. Or keep unscrewing the flame adjuster and burn your house down
Then make a video about it then
Thank Bro! This really works!
Good to go!
I have an eagle pen torch and I lost all of my screws. So can you tell me what size screws.
Hey thank you this was awesome!! I worked
👍👍👍
Eyeglass repair kits or harbor freight mini driver kit for cheap but usable screwdrivers
Worked!!! Thanks
You're welcome!
Yup... Just stick a small flat head in there... Raise it spin spline to right... Job done.. No disassemble...
Butane. Will this work with my DuPont lighter as well?
hahaha I don't think you have one of those
You dont have a DuPont you big phony.
Wow I’ve bought so many. I have like 4 broken ones no spark and the sparkler gets stuck they suck big time and ate not cheap 8 bucks a pup
What about when the clicker stops working can that be fixed?
Not unless you have parts from another one
