Hello, Bryan - great review! The Swisstool Spirit X has scissors and a drop point straight edge blade...what Victorinox sent you is the Swisstool Spirit XC, which also features scissors but the blade is a combination serrated/straight sheepsfoot blade...many folks who purchase the XC do so because they have a dedicated folder they prefer to carry and use and have no need for the drop point straight blade...this is a really neat and nifty multitool which I know you will enjoy using as part of your EDC...
It definitely is a cool tool....it has been my multi tool system for edc for work for several years. It is a little heavy for the belt. Great video Bryan. Final thought...it is lighter than their Swisstool but it would have been great if Victorinox had made the handles straight and etched ruler marks on the handle. With this refinement, the tool would be even better.
Nice tool but here in Canada it's $300 with tax. However my Leatherman Surge plus extra for extension bar, bits, rachet and extra pouch to hold it all is probably even worse in price. I didn't realize it until you add it up. But Surge is a bit more heavy duty. This is an excellent tool for electricians etc. I have a bunch of Victorinox's.
What I've found about any multi tool is that you only are limited by your own imagination, there's probably many more applications on most tools already there with both Leatherman, Gerber or Victorinox, that they haven't thought of yet! Great video and well presented
I have the Swiss tool with ratchet. Put in a socket adapter bit in the bit holder. N ordered tweezers for the case. I love it. It’s heavy. But I use it quite a bit As a dipper lol. I use the can opener on lots of soda cans and open the up with relative ease to use them as spit cups. But I’m not sure if the can you were trying is different. It did look a lil deeper
Great video!! Just received mine today, and I love it, but I wish the pliers were spring-loaded and that it had a hole or ring to attach 550 paracord for a quicker pull..
If i am not mistaken, Spirit X is model with scissors AND normal "spear" blade Without serrations. Your link shows actually correct model. I have limited edition Spirit RT (on the road 125years) X model but without rachet, and bigger Victorinox Multitool X with bit kit. But for actual use i have Leatherman Rebar. I would like to have Wave also but in Germany blades with OHO and lock are not allowed to carry.
While the ratchet may not be a workhorse, I can see where it would beat having to go unlock the tool box or grab the tool belt. As I see it … it comes down to whether you’re prepared to pay the price for convenience or not. I’ve never been a multi-tool kind of guy since I have professional tools already. This particular model may change my mind. Thanks for the review.
I was thinking the same thing. My Matco 6s is pretty full. And Multitool pliers just don't handle the same abuse as the snap on talon grips. I usually forget to throttle back on these things so I don't break them. This one, may help me change my mind.
The cork screw is fenomenale to open hard knots if you what to save your bankline or whatever you use. And the most important... You must be a gentleman and open a bottle of wine to a helpless wine drinker;)
Sweet tool. Kinda Inspector Gadget'y for me. Not that it is overpriced, the market will determine that, it's just not something I would purchase. Thanks for posting. What happened to the Kephart knife series? Top picks, etc.? Esee PR4 the winner? or BPS BS2FTS? BPS Adventurer?
Very nice little tool. I have to agree with others that it is a bit pricey for me in today's economy. Last year I'd have probably spent the money for one.
Love your videos man. The can openers will open those cans. I make spit cups out of em all the time by using the can opener to making it easier to spit in. Kinda have to hold it in a way that keeps the fan shape. Bc were there empty n lighter than Norma food cans, they wanna fold. But once ya get it down it’s not a hard task. Life of a dipper lol
You ofcourse know that the eyeglass screwdriver can be twisted opposite way to all SAK corkscrews, so that you don'd lose that little bugger while finding glasses?
The only thing that burns me about victornox, and im dont think its directly their fault, but i had been watching a set that ive wanted for a while. Finally get to go order it... not available in my region😒 like wouldnt even let me look at it anymore
👋wanted to know if you did a review for Marfine Custom Knives - Secum Elite m/a tanto mirror polish, mil spec anodized alloy w stringray skin inlay? wanted your input👍🏽👌🏽🔪🗡⚔️
@@SurvivalOnPurpose i understand that sir. I haven't written them off completely yet but, between the FRT for ARs and the gun buyback, I'm looking at two strikes. Hopefully they redeem themselves and don't get a third.
Bryan, I disagree with your stated position of neutrality. I specifically want to hear your opinion on the quality and value of the products you review.
Well, I try as much as possible to avoid the inevitable appearance of bias when I do that. And the truth is, if you see it in the channel it almost always means I like it.
I say BS! They could say here is a multitool with an ax, etc. It isn't really a part of the knife. Why not buy an adequate ratchet and quit screwing around with that baby ratchet!!? Way overpriced. Good demonstration Bryan.

👍. Nice walk through of the best full size multitool in the world. Thank for highlighting this product.

Indeed.
thanks for the video. that's pretty neat, "like nobody's business"!

Bryan, Nice Multi Tool. I’m going to look into picking one up if I can find it where I live.
You can use the corkscrew to attach the tool to a dowel or branch to extend your reach😮
Fantastic Review, It would make a nice Christmas Gift!!!
Awesome in depth look at a great multi-tool. Thanks for the look see. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Good demonstration! I guess this model is Swiss tool Spirit .
Very nice little tool. I have to agree with others that it is a bit pricey for me in today's economy. Last year I'd have probably spent the money for one.
So the ratchet really is simply a separate tool, not in any way connected to the Spirit itself -- except by sharing the sheath. Right?
Yes

Good review.
Your best facial hair style. Great review.
Sweet 😎👍
I don’t think the file edge is meant for cutting metal at all. It’s solely a file…
That is a great tool, like nobody’s business.
If you've got a wood screw and a claw hammer, you've got a corkscrew.
DUFUS PROOF like it, thanks for the info
LETS GO BRANDON!!!!

All I can tell you is I have save a LOT of money shopping on Big Daddy Unlimited. And they are 100% pro-America and pro-freedom.

You sure that’s a metal saw? It appeared it was just an edge file.

2 minute video that took 25 minutes to put out. Wasted time.
