If they are ever locked up and arrested for what they do ,the judge will turn around and set them free on some tiny bond ,that's the most terrifying time ,We are the lucky ones .

It’s unbelievable and tragic how some people blame his soon to be ex-wife for HIS actions. Men are not mindless apes that can’t think and choose for themselves. No one can make you do anything. Obviously it takes 2 to tango and she was unhappy in the marriage for various reasons, but he took it upon himself to make a point that she belongs to him and no one else can have her. This selfish jerk didn’t think of anyone but himself, and he alone is responsible and guilty.

generally how it works when someone knowingly has an affair with a married woman who's husband he's known all his life, and whom he explicitly promised out of respect for his feelings, he would wait until the divorce was finalized (they were still FULLY married, there is NO such thing as a "legal separation") to physically be around the wife.
you get what you ask for really really hard, even begging for, in life.

Sounds like he couldn't handle the fact that another man made his wife, who was divorcing him, happy. He wanted her miserable and the person who made her happy dead. He's what I call a "resentful f---." They're filled with self-pity and blame everyone else for their problems. The absurd defense tactic is b.s. Ackerman's face said "I'm shocked they didn't get that I'm sorry it happened. I have so much regret, I shouldn't have to go to prison. I'm sorry...I made a mistake.... I'm so misunderstood." As for his wife: he must have been a horrid husband, if he was capable of this.

Having said that, Meadors is a fine atty so I’m not surprised that Ackerman’s defense team have been on the back foot. Then again, Ackerman isn’t the brightest bulb in the pack so made it easy for the jury to convict him.

The defense lawyer was terrible. I can’t imagine one juror relating to anything he said or how he said it. He didn’t object enough while the state just hammered him about things that could have been objected to - even if just for the record!
Was he sleeping ? His voice sounds like he has a bad cold and is half asleep and when he put him on the stand (hammering the nails into his coffin) he seemed like he didn’t even know his client or the answers to what he was asking. It was a terrible direct. Two hours of excruciating useless details about where he’s worked since he was 12 years old but no mention of the texts talking about the victim!

She wanted to get rid of the guy because he was a psycho. She finally was trying to get free from the psycho and she feared for her life and safety. Her plan was to get some guy and start a relationship (without him even caring about all the baggage). This guy was just as stupid because he went out with a married separated woman without even questioning where's your husband ? her plan worked perfectly. Find some stupid guy and bring them home. The jealous ex-husband is going to kill the other guy... and now she's rid of both of them. And she has been the victim all along.

What is with these lawyers and their feigning a shaky voice when talking about Davis passing away or the defense lawyer yelling when talking about how you’d feel if someone you knew your whole life was with your spouse? I believe that the prosecutor does believes it’s sad, but it’s such a weird fake voice.
