@@manybikes will do, I am really enjoying my Africa Twin . I am sure I will enjoy it more with these tires. It is the perfect in between from my DRZ400 supermoto and my FZ09.... I will probably take a trip soon to Chaperral as I am somewhat local from Long beach area....Thanks again
Talk about going above and beyond! I have followed all your videos on this tire since the launch event you attended. Thanks for putting this tire through all possible scenarios. Dunlop owes you commission as I ordered a set for my 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports. Quite confident after all the work you put in to test them.
These tires have proven to be very versatile tires with much more bite than the tread design leads one to believe / expect. The 2020 AT looks amazing and these tires will be a perfect match. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
I've watched quite a few videos on 50/50 why cause I'm about to by some. This has been the best so far. Going beyond what I'll be doing 80% of the time. Thanks for your work.
Kyle, thank you for doing a true test of these tires. I used to race motocross, have done a number of track days on sport bikes, and now I’m rocking a 2018 ATAS. The moment I saw these tires I thought they actually looked like they’d be a good 50/50 tire despite some people saying they looked too slick. I am extremely pleased to hear they are living up to what I was expecting to see, and Dunlop’s hype. These will be my next tires for sure now. Again, thank you for your work testing and reviewing these. I have become a true fan of yours, and also these new tires.
Thank you for your support Ethan! Sounds like we come from similar riding backgrounds (minus the motocross)... Check out my R1200GSA at Laguna Seca on TKC80's : ua-cam.com/video/m9G7tuF4lHI/v-deo.html That was a good time! These Dunlop Mission tires have really really impressed me. I would have liked them to include more silica in the compound for better wet weather traction... but that is my ONLY suggestion. They have killed it with this tire for sure. Happy Holidays. - Kyle
@@manybikes Hey Kyle. You wish they'd have better wet traction, but does that mean they're not great in the wet? I'm looking for a 50/50 tire but I also ride and commute year round in the PNW where we get 3-4 months of rain every year, so wet performance needs to be good for me to feel safe commuting in the rain. Think these would fit the bill still?
Matt Hagge they were okay / good in the rain - but not spectacular. If i rode them “normally” they were good. If I pushed them with abnormal acceleration or excessive breaking - they lost traction. This tire doesn’t have silica, nor dual compound... which could have improved the wet weather traction.
Portland Two Wheels yes, I’d run either the RallZ or the Adventure in the rear and a Dunlop TrailMax Mission up front for the most Street worthy performance / traction.
@@manybikes Sorry to hear what I read... so is this your channel? Where do you think you'll be landing? There no better person I think that does a better review then you. You should no problem landing somewhere that will be Awesome to you
Only thing left is going to the track to slide a knee. 🙂 Ordered a set for my Wee from Chaparral and they are in route. Thanks for the comprehensive test...sub’ed
I probably should have watched this first but I did just order some of the Dunlop trailmax tires for my tiger 800 and looks like I made a good decision. The shop owner also recommended these and he rides a klx650
Hey man, your videos are about the best real-world reviews around. I appreciate the quality content you put on here and I've found your words to be well chosen, honest and accurate which instills confidence when making purchasing decisions based upon your reviews.

That’s great news David! Sometimes (very rarely) it “feels like work” (usually sxs footage Ha! Kyle, thanks for all your great tire videos. You really helped me in making my decision to get the Motoz Ralley tire before my trip to Breckenridge, CO. It was a great choice. This looks like a great all a rounder that would be perfect for commuting with some weekend warrior off-roading sessions. Just might be my next tire. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for watching! The RallZ tires are great for mileage & total traction. I think my current favorite combo is the RallZ rear with an Anakee Wild front. Unless the Mitas E10’s blow everything out of the water... they look gnarly and robust. We will see...
@@manybikes What would you say for the combo of Dunlop Trailmax Mission Rr and Mich Anakee Wild for the front....Az desert sandy washes and rocky trails. Lots of dry wash crossings and the Missions scare me a little for sand and rock/larger gravel bars.
I was riding from Reno to So Cal back in March. Chain control was in effect on U.S. 395 for several summits in the Mammoth Lake area. I turned around and took U.S. 95 to U.S. 6 into Bishop because I'm not out of my freakin mind like Kyle is!!! Awesome video and much respect Kyle!! My tires if anyone is wondering were the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR. They work well when it's warm but not so great when the temperature drops.
Ha! Ha! Yeah, I go looking for it a couple times a year... I LOVE it! And I love the NorCal area too! Thanks for your comment & thanks for watching. - Kyle
Glad to help! It is a labor of love... Some testing is a lot more fun than other testing... that is for sure! Thanks for watching and thanks for your support.
Wow - your videos for tyre tests are Legendary! Wish I could buy these Dunlop’s but not available locally where I live. I couldn’t believe You were riding in the ice and snowy conditions. Besides your skills, and the tyres what jacket/pants/gloves are you wearing ? You didn’t sound freezing cold despite the conditions - but noted the cold fingers. Keep up the great videos man. If I ever visit your region I need to buy you a few beers ! Cheers.
Happy to be of service! Not available locally? Where are you located? Kyle Bradshaw - thank you. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Wishing you all a great 2020. I’m in Australia and Dunlop here and in the USA can’t seem to agree on bringing in these tyres for some reason . I looked at purchasing a set but the shipping is almost as much as the tyres !
Kyle Bradshaw : Kyle let me know if you want to road test my 2020 GSA 1250 with the same tires. I’m in Long Beach and more than happy to let you ride my bike. I’m happy with the tires so far but have only had it in mild dirt so far

Awesome! Great vid. Really relevant to the conditions where I am right now. Shame these are not available in Europe yet. Just need the same test for the Anakee Wilds now😉
I ran the Wilds several weeks ago. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/LGwvHEa4dU4/v-deo.html My personal version of the rest will be shorter and a bit more edgy. Will be out next month. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Yes!!! I’ve tried everything with this helmet. It is causing video quality to suffer... need to mic up my trusty ol’ Icon Airflite so the audio can get back to where it should be. Thanks for watching!
Yes they are! Pretty sweet tires! Dunlop hit a home run on them... well at least a triple. I would have like to have seen a Dual Compound. Heavier in the center and lighter on the sides. I wear out the center of this tire more than any other tire I have run. Side are super stiff... could use a softer sticker rubber and then they would be "even more amazing" and would wear evenly.
Amazing Thanks a lot, even though the DTM became my last option after seeing lots of videos, I am afraid they are too hard and not good in wet pavement (according to several videos) I am thinking of getting the MOTOZ GPS or the TKC70. Cheers
The TKC70 Rocks in the rear and the new TrailMax Raid front would be a great combo. Or... the GPS tires are hard to beat. You can check them out here: www.manybikes.biz
Based on the comments, I am assuming that Dunlop has sold and continues to sell a ton of these tires! Thanks to your in-depth and thorough review, they will be my next set of tires on my 2016 R1200GSA.
You bet! They sell A LOT of these tires! I really like them for what they are, but I tend to ride over their dirt skill level on most rides. If riding to Alaska - I'd put a set on for sure!
I am impressed! Thanks for watching. They are maybe 5% less aggressive than the Anakee Wild and just as streetable as the Anakee Adventure. So... a better "all around tire" than either of the Michelin offerings. - Kyle
dtdprobe Yes, on wet pavement the Anakee Adventure is better - but in snow... the AA Sucked! But... most tires do on a motorcycle. Snow is a tough animal.
Great video! Taking my 790S to Tennessee next week on it's Avon Trailriders. Looking to replace in the next 1000 miles as my rear is looking thin at 2200 miles.
Hey Kyle! Your tire tests are the best! congratulations. Thanks to you, I know what tires to buy. I have a question - is it better to use Mission or GPS tires on a 660 cm3 motorcycle? Or maybe some mix? I'm talking about driving mainly on the road, but also about decent properties in dirt. In a video you said that too heavy tires for smaller and medium-sized motorcycles are a bad idea. Thank you very much! Regards
Thanks so much for the tip. Just one more question - how do you drive on the highway with GPS on the back in the "mostly off road" direction? Does this somehow affect grip or make driving worse on wet asphalt? Thanks and best regards!
My pleasure! Getting out there... and expressing how things feel as I am experiencing them... that's it. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it isn't. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Hi Kyle, wich one would you put on your bike if you don't care about the longevity of the tires , the missions , tkc 80s , or the ax41? I need to replace my tires on the r1200gs and what ever you will answer thats what I'll buy 😉 thank you
Oh man... Put on the Spot. Well... the AX41's are currently on 2 of my bikes. The Dunlop Mission tire is on a third and the Motoz Tractionator Adventure is on a 4th. The AX41 is my favorite as it is amazing when new and has great feedback (sport bike like) from the road and is the lightest tire of the bunch... but it wears out quickly. If you want a little more longevity... AX41 in the front and a Motoz RallZ in the rear would be an option I would run. The TrailMax Mission tire is very interesting... I REALLY Like it... but it does not provide the "road feeback" that the AX41 does... and is less grippy in the rain. But I love it none-the-less as it is the best all around tire of the bunch. There are many way you could go... Sorry to be not so "concise" in my answer to you. Okay... Probably the TrailMax Mission on a GS... Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Awesome videos. What would you recommend for a new dirt rider that wants to build confidence but also need good mileage on tar. Had the Karoo streets and enjoyed them, thinking of the Anakee Adventures or the Dunlop missions?
Thank you for your inquiry. I highly recommend the Motoz Adventure tires for great mileage and fantastic dirtability. One of my favorites for sure. Thanks for watching. What are you riding? - Kyle
Mixed Bag Alex... I LOVE the AX41 way more than I do the Mission tires for several reasons... 1st they feel GREAT on the street (sport bike like soft sidewalls that allow you to feel the road) and 2nd the are aggressive and work really really well off-road and 3rdly they are MUCH lighter than the Mission tire, which is very noticeable on the small but mighty 390. Was my favorite dirt tire on my 390 Duke. Now the BIG downside of the AX41 is the fact I got barely 2500 miles out of the rear. Not enough ... that is for sure. I have switched to the TKC70 Rocks in the rear and love it. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/Fziyvet4A6c/v-deo.html Now the Dunlop TrailMax Mission is a fantastic tire that will probably take you 8k miles on the 390 but is is heavy and you can feel it (and see it on the speedo) when on the highway battling traffic. Hope this helps...
Thanks for your reviews! So helpful. I’m considering the Trailmax mission, Anakee wild or Battlax Ax41 for my 790R. I really like the longevity of the Trailmax. The performance of the Battlax. I’ve heard the Michelin is better than the Dunlop as a 50/50. It seems you prefer the Dunlop. Few questions: 1. What would you recommend? 2. Would you consider a combination of these three? One for the rear and a different one for front? If so what would you do?
My pleasure & Great questions! The TrailMax Mission tire is for sure a great 50/50 tire that works well almost everywhere. The AX41 is amazing but wears out really quickly. The Anakee Wild is the most “dirt bike like” feeling tire. I would make a different choice / recommendation for various “different trips” depending on the terrain, distance and percentage of hard core dirt / sand / mud and tight or fast road twistes. A pairing I really like is the Motoz RallZ rear and the TrailMax Mission front. Lots of possible options...
Hi again, Kyle! In what order would you rank RallZ, Anakee Wild and TrailMax on wet pavement? (Rains quite a bit in my part of the world) Also how much of an impact on performance would you say different tire dimensions as well as differences in bike weight has? Neglectable or just really hard to say without actual testing? I'm on a wr250r and currently ride too much on asphalt to be comfortable with the Michelin ac10 (was on the bike when I bought it), but still want fair grip in the dirt. Thanks in advance and greetings from Sweden!
Great questions! Tire weight on your bike will make a HUGE difference in rideability and performance. On a big heavy 700cc + bike my answer would be the Rallz... but it is the heaviest tire. The Anakee Wild will by the best tire choice for your 250. Sizes / dimensions do make a difference too... the smaller / lighter tire you can put on your bike will be best for overall performance.
Hello Kyle again so the Dunlop mission vs Motoz gps they both got good reviews for you, the question is which one would you choose as an all-rounder and 2 is would you use the gps rear and maybe mission in front or versus-versace .Thanks again keep up those great videos
The GPS rear will get more mileage than the Mission due to the solid center. The GPS in Mostly Off Road will get about the same traction as the Mission rear tire. The Mission will be smoother running and a littler quieter than the GPS. Very similar tires! That is for sure. - Kyle
@@manybikes what about the motoz rallz and adv compared to the mileage and traction(both street and off) of the gps rear tire in dirt direction? And how do they compare to say the trusty ol 705 inthose.departments aswell?
How did you get a job like that nice, living the dream! Once again great review. Would you say that front is slightly better off road than the rear? I like what I see for the rear but I normally run an Anakee Wild on the front but the Mission front would most likely be good enough for my riding style I'm thinking. Thanks, hope your kids enjoyed the snow.
I am very impressed with the front tire. The tread blocks are short, but have many leading bite edges. No squirm. Super quiet. Grippy. I did like it with sightly lower air pressure than the max. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Yes, if riding off-road the Mission is much more aggressive than the Anakee Adv. The Mission is at least 10% more off-road oriented than the Anakee Adv and the Anakee Wild is at least 10% more aggressive than the Mission. That being said, the Anakee Adv and the Mission both run like STREET tires on the street... Smooth and quiet. Hope this helps.
@@manybikes million dollar question. What do you ride and what's on it now? Oh, you videos are killer, great info, done well and appreciated. One bit of feed back. When you're on hill clubs, a rear brake drag could be a nice feature to see how much slip you get locking up read on steep stuff. thanks!
soooo......would you call it a 50/50 still to this day? im running some motoz desert ht / tractionator adv that i ordered from you on my T7 but i hate the rain groove wobbles of death. looking at these
So... I have put a Mission on the front of a BMW F850 GSA and a Tractionator Adventure on the rear and it worked really really well. Most stable on the highway yet. To answer your question... YES, the Mission is a great 50/50 tire. Much less dirt oriented than many but better on the road than many... and they wear well Thus the great 50/50 recommendations. There are better street tires. There are better dirt tires. This tire is good at both. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching Kevin. The Dunlop TrailMax tires will outlast a TKC80 by 2 or 3 times... it is "super close" to the TKC80 performance off-road and is much better when it it comes to street performance. The only two places the TKC80 excels is the sloppy or sticky mud or cold wet roads. But... the variance is minimal. The Mission is the better all around tire - that is for sure! - Kyle
Thanks Kyle. This video was a real revelation. In the snow I have done many miles with the same snow, more or / and less, having the old TW152 / 101 which worked much better than I saw in comparing them with the Mission. In the dirt and light mud, these tires will certainly work well. I think the cold (weather) wet element is not the best in their performance. The tire recipe lacks silica and therefore does not perform well in the full liquid range, which is something the Michelin Adventure does extremely well. There are - and + as usual at any tire model. Now we are waiting for test the new TKC 70 Rocks...
Yes, very true points here. Every tire has its +/-‘s ... According to Continental a set of the TKC Rocks is on the way to me with a mid-January delivery. I’m looking forward to that tire, but am bummed the didn’t create a front tire for it... in not a fan of the TKC70 front due to wear characteristics.
Yes I also don't understand why they didn't come up with a TKC70 Rock front tire. When riding offroad, good front tire grip is much more important as the rear tire traction.
SWEGOTECH AMEN! Sometimes you can get away with a less performing tire in the rear & can “make it work” where that is hard to do with a front tire... or either works or doesn’t.
Hey Kyle, question for you... I come from the Anakee Adventure on my R1200GS. For the road and wet and found them incredible, super planted never had an issue but of course, didn't do any offroad other than just a few country roads here in Ireland. Before that I had the K60s which were pretty decent offroad but dodgy on the road, especially when it got wet... Do you think the Missions would perform as good as the Anakee ADV on road/wet? I'll be honest and say that most of my ride is on road but I do love to explore country roads and you never know what you'll get, so having off-road capabilities would be great. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching Ramiro. The Anakee Adventure is a better wet road tire than the Mission tire. Dry road traction, the two tires are comparable. Off-road the Anakee Adv performs as an 80/20 and the Mission tire does perform as a 50/50 tire and is more grippy when the terrain gets muddy, sandy or really rocky. Hope this description helps. - Kyle
Ramiro Tarrico Villafañe well, I’m nice sometimes and did go to school - but that’s as close as I get to your description. ;) Thanks for watching! - Kyle
I've been on the website of dunlop and I see that all tires have T as speed factor. Too low for today's bikes, how it is possible? My Cagiva Gran Canyon 900 has H (57H and 69H front & rear)...
Ratings... you will never outride these tires. I have had them 150+ mph for quite some miles and they are stable. No worries. They are a 50/50 tire... most knobbies have a 99 mph speed rating. Thanks for watching! - Kyle

Jeez they have to be the most expensive ADV Tyre out there I think I can't find a good price even on Ebay 150/70×18 70t bias and I seriously think it's the go to tyre the Trail Max seems to have everything going for it I'm running Michelin Anakee wilds fantastic tyres but the back is chunking out and I'm due for replacement after around 1500 miles
Yes, they do hold their price, that is for sure. They do a really really good job everywhere though and they last a bit too... They will not do as well as your Anakee Wilds in mud or sand, but everywhere else they will work as good if not better. Shoot me a message in IG and I can provide you a $10 off gift card.
My pleasure! Yes, I have ridden them in the twisties and on warm summer roads. I had 4k miles on them when I removed them from my bike. Some have told me they are getting 6k and even up to 10k miles out of their sets. Pretty impressive. They handled the warm roads great but did not like the melty tar snakes though... All in all a great tire!
They are amazing mirrors. They are called DoubleTake Adventure Mirrors. I have been using them for YEARS on 7 different bikes. Check out my Installation Video here: ua-cam.com/video/548pnH8Fxqo/v-deo.html
Really love your reviews! How would you rate TrailMax, AX41, Motoz Rallz, Anakee Wild and Motoz GPS when it comes to mud as well as wet asphalt? I kind of missed those parameters from the otherwise great roundup of 50/50 tires. Thanks a bunch for the time you put in!
Howdy! Thanks for watching and I’m happy you are enjoying them. I have run each tire in mud, snow and the wet. In the snow & deep mud the Motoz RallZ, Anakee Wild and TrailMax Mission tires were the best. Of these three the Dunlop was best in many other areas. The AX41’s and GPS tires were best on wet pavement. I love the AX41’s but they wear out the fastest. I’ve been through 5 tears already. I’ve been mixing lately... AX41 and Mission on the front and the RallZ on the rear. I like those combos!!! The options are endless really... it is crazy how DIFFERENT they all act in all the various terrains!
@@manybikes Thank you for your fast response Kyle! Then I have 2 more questions, in what order would you rank RallZ, Wild and TrailMax on wet pavement? (Rains quite a bit in my part of the world) Also how much of an impact on performance would you say different tire dimensions as well as differences in bike weight has? Neglectable or just really hard to say without actual testing? I'm looking for the best tires for me on a wr250r in a complete mix of surfaces but pretty spot on 50/50.
Hi Kyle, question on your bike set up, what abs setting do you use when hitting the mud and trails? Also do you change it to rain mode and what abs setting you use while going up on the paved road to the snow? Thanks, I have a 2018 1290 Adventure S and I was looking at these tires, I had the Motoz gps before and I like them, not sure is this tire is better tho.
Great question. I run Sport Mode ABS and MTC OFF when I go off-road. On-road I run Sport Mode with MTC ON and ABS Road most of the time... Unless testing tires... then everything is OFF so I can "feel what the tire is doing" not what the electronics are doing. Rain mode in the snow would be MUCH safer, that is for sure. The TrialMax Missions are a favorite 50/50 tire but I love the GPS too... Very comparable tires.

Ha! Ha! Yup, 30 psi. Its a good middle of the road pressure but not the best for some of the tires off-road and other on-road. Had to find a middle ground. We are on and off road at least 10 times in that run and the air up / air down would have been a ridiculous time sink! Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Well, the tire will make it without a question. However, it will be work to get it through some sections when you get into wet sloppy mud or large loose rocks. The tread does not "clean out" as well as I would wish and the carcass is so hard that climbing large rocks the tire just wants to deflect instead of conform. Other than that... It's a winner!
My favorite riding and feeling tire at the moment is the Bridgestone AX41, but the they wear out quickly and tread depth is not as great. I do like a MEATY lug... I'd say the AX41, the Anakee Wild or the Motoz RallZ tires are my top 3 choices. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
@@manybikes great to know. What would you think about an AX41 front with a Motoz Rallz rear? My thought is to have a durable, grippy rear with a front which offers better grip on road than the rally front.
therealturbofanisme Hell yeah! I used to be a “matched” front and rear guy... but as I find “better” front or rears... I am totally down to mix them up a bit. That’s be a GREAT combo! - Kyle
Great comment Mike. This tire 50% worn will still have more meat on it than a lot of similar tires in the segment. Additionally, I saw a Mission tire on it earlier this week that had 5k miles on it and it looked as if it still had the same amount of tread of a NEW TKC80. Pretty darn impressive. Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Thanks - exactly the answer I was looking for. Need a good set of tires for a cross-country trip with a lot of planned twisties, dirt roads, and off-road exploring. Minimal interstate. Looks like this might fit the bill.

Going beyond what I'll be doing 80% of the time. Thanks for your work.
My pleasure! I think it's "not quite a 50/50" but it'll go anywhere a 50/50 tire will take you. Enjoy!
@@manybikes Would any of the Motoz 50/50 tires be better for the rain and/or mud? I have a similar question.
Portland Two Wheels yes, I’d run either the RallZ or the Adventure in the rear and a Dunlop TrailMax Mission up front for the most Street worthy performance / traction.
Wow Kyle, you've some big ones to be riding that on those tires on those roads - much thanks for all you and your team do!
LookattheBiggerPic it’s just a “dirt road” wink wink...
Made me lol at the end. Thanks for the review! I have purchased a few tires based on your videos.
Glad you like them! It is a labor of love ;)

Ordered a set for my Wee from Chaparral and they are in route.
Thanks for the comprehensive test...sub’ed
Thanks for the Sub Mike, much appreciated!
Love it. Stay safe and thanks for the great review Kyle.
You are welcome! Thank you for watching! Happy Holidays!
Ordered my Motoz from Chaparral thanks to your reviews. Your efforts are appreciated.
Thanks for watching! I love Motoz tires. They work as good if not better than most and last longer than most. Enjoy! - Kyle
I probably should have watched this first but I did just order some of the Dunlop trailmax tires for my tiger 800 and looks like I made a good decision. The shop owner also recommended these and he rides a klx650
It will be a great tire for your Tiger 800. It continues to impress me!

You are a brave dude. I know they are heavy tires and I hear it makes the steering feel heavy. Current ride is a 24 Transalp
Transalp is fun! These tires are good too.
I'm glad I haven't tested them in mud or snow, but they did great in Death Valley(So Cal DBR). I'm very happy with them. Cheers
They do great in the so cal area, that’s for sure!

What air pressure are you running when your off road. Your videos are the best. I’m throwing a set of the Dunlops on my T7.

Okay mental case, that vid deserves a subscription. Good stuff there. Hoping you do get a better helmet mike though.
Yes!!! I’ve tried everything with this helmet. It is causing video quality to suffer... need to mic up my trusty ol’ Icon Airflite so the audio can get back to where it should be. Thanks for watching!
Awesome putting them on my Honda At.
Amazing
Thanks a lot, even though the DTM became my last option after seeing lots of videos, I am afraid they are too hard and not good in wet pavement (according to several videos) I am thinking of getting the MOTOZ GPS or the TKC70.
Great review! Thx! How would you rate them in comparion to the michelin anakee wild and adventure?
Nice! This tire did impress!
Regards
Awe, Thanks! Mission or Raid up front with the GPS in the rear. That is a winning combo!!!
Thanks so much for the tip.
Just one more question - how do you drive on the highway with GPS on the back in the "mostly off road" direction? Does this somehow affect grip or make driving worse on wet asphalt?
Thanks and best regards!
Real world review- thank you :-)
My pleasure! Getting out there... and expressing how things feel as I am experiencing them... that's it. Sometimes it is great and sometimes it isn't. Thanks for watching! - Kyle

Don Meyer 17” front? Super Moto? Or sport bike?
@@manybikes 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Granturismo
Don Meyer Awesome bike. I’ll inquire as to when we should be seeing them in the line-up.
@@manybikes Thank you Kyle.
- Kyle
@@manybikes thank you for the fast response, just because of you ill drive an hour + to install the tires at chaparral 😉
Maybe even today..
man ! that's testing 👍
Good times!
- Kyle
I’m trying to decide between these and the Battlax AX41 for my KTM 390 Adventure. I do a good amount of trail riding on gravel and dirt roads.
Kyle Bradshaw Thanks tons. Appreciate your time.
Trevor Coleman on your 790 I’d recommend the Dunlop D908RR in the rear and the D606 or the Mission in the front!
Hi again, Kyle!
In what order would you rank RallZ, Anakee Wild and TrailMax on wet pavement? (Rains quite a bit in my part of the world)
Also how much of an impact on performance would you say different tire dimensions as well as differences in bike weight has?
- Kyle
would you suggest these over Mich anakee Adventures? better in dirt? Seems that way.almost thinking a dunlop for rear & anakee wild front. thoughts?
Thank you my brother
Any time! Happy to be of service!
Kyle, you are a Badass dual sport rider and moto vlogger! How would you compare these Dunlops Trailmax to the venable TKC80 tires?
Thanks for watching Kevin. The Dunlop TrailMax tires will outlast a TKC80 by 2 or 3 times... it is "super close" to the TKC80 performance off-road and is much better when it it comes to street performance. The only two places the TKC80 excels is the sloppy or sticky mud or cold wet roads. But... the variance is minimal. The Mission is the better all around tire - that is for sure! - Kyle
@@manybikes Thanks, Kyle! Make sure you collect that Dunlop commission check because you just "sold" them to me! 😉
@@manybikes TKC 70 Rocks with a front TKC80 or Anaakee Wild would be the way to go.
SWEGOTECH AMEN! Sometimes you can get away with a less performing tire in the rear & can “make it work” where that is hard to do with a front tire... or either works or doesn’t.
Awesome videos, what tires would you recommend for someone who lives in a muddy rocky area. The atvs create bignmud holes on our trails
Muddy and rocky I'd go with the Motoz RallZ tires. I have ridden them in some extreme mud and they did a great job! Thanks for watching!
@@manybikes thanks sorry for all the questions! Haha
- Kyle
@@manybikes you're a gentleman and a scholar, thank you sir!
- Kyle
Any chance of testing these back to back with the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs? They seem to be aimed at the same riders.

Thank you for the review
How many miles on them now?
Have you had the opportunity to hammer them through the twisties in the summer?
Thanks.
What mirrors are those? Seems handy to move them in before you go offroad
(Rains quite a bit in my part of the world)
Also how much of an impact on performance would you say different tire dimensions as well as differences in bike weight has?
Hey Kyle I've seen a couple of your videos now and was wondering if you put rides on with others

@@manybikes wow thanks for actually responding I hardly ever get a response from youtubers that I message... I actually threw the new dunlop trail max tires on today and going to us the good wheater tomorrow to break them in while going for ride with the wife
I would love to meet up for a ride
I'm very green thou like extremely... lots to learn on my part
I'm E Joshua Gonzalez on my FB I'll hit you up
Edwin Gonzalez AWESOME! Have a super ride! I miss rides with the wife. Our last ride was together was a 400 miles 3 day ride through Yosemite & mammoth when she was 3 months prego with our 1st child... October 2015 - we now have 3 little rascals and together rides are now with the kids around the block.
Anyhow... there are amazing easy trails I’d love to show you - you’ll love them. I’ll be on a KTM 390 Duke as the 1190 is under the weather...
Let’s do it soon.
Rode safe! - Kyle
Thanks again for all the tests! What tire pressures are you running.
Ah, 30 psi...I missed that the first time I watched it.
Ha! Ha! Yup, 30 psi. Its a good middle of the road pressure but not the best for some of the tires off-road and other on-road. Had to find a middle ground. We are on and off road at least 10 times in that run and the air up / air down would have been a ridiculous time sink! Thanks for watching! - Kyle
Just curious what bike that was? I couldn't quite tell.
2016 KTM 1190 Adv R is the bike ... neat machine!
Do you think these tire on this bike is good enough to do the TAT ?
Well, the tire will make it without a question. However, it will be work to get it through some sections when you get into wet sloppy mud or large loose rocks. The tread does not "clean out" as well as I would wish and the carcass is so hard that climbing large rocks the tire just wants to deflect instead of conform. Other than that... It's a winner!
Of all the tyres you have tested over the past year which ones would you have chosen for the route you just rode?
- Kyle
@@manybikes awesome. I'll move forward with it then. A few hundred more miles on my AX41 rear, then the rally goes on. Thanks for the input :)
therealturbofanisme Awesome! You won’t be disappointed!
Looking for real mud...you are invited to come over the Netherlands :)
Then again, no gravel our mountains.
I’d love to visit there one day!
It's all good when you have a new tire but what about at 50% tread .
Hey Kyle I liked your video but there was so much motorcycle noise I couldn't understand what you are saying.🤔🤔🤔
Sorry about that! Fixed in later videos...
Only on a KTM
I
I would watch this if it was 5 min or less
Thanks for your feedback. What sections would you like to see removed or do you value as less important?
@@manybikes I guess I'm researching tires for a 1290 sar and I'm sure alot of your viewers like a real in depth review but I feel if you did a 5 min or less quick facts along with the longer review guys like me can get the quick facts then move on to the next one. Cheers
@@chrissahlstrom8939 10/4 I’ll work that into the mix and will link to the “full feature” video.
Hello Kyle again so the Dunlop mission vs Motoz gps they both got good reviews for you, the question is which one would you choose as an all-rounder and 2 is would you use the gps rear and maybe mission in front or versus-versace .Thanks again keep up those great videos
Man! I just ran a Motoz Adventure Rear tire and the Dunlop Mission Front tire (video to release soon) and it was amazing! You could do the same... Mission Front (slightly more aggressive than the GPS front) and the GPS rear in the Off Road orientation and you would be Dialed! Great combo if you ask me! Thanks for watching! - Kyle
@@manybikes why the Dunlops on the front? Maybe because the Moroz shed the mud on the rear better??
@@manybikes would that combo do aswell as the shinko 705s in the twisties?
