- Terzo hangs on the nest edge, out of sight of us and ischirping. He is unable to crawl back into the nest. Milda can't help him. And I think it's better that way. In the nest he would be attacked further and get no food.

That eaglet is the equivalent of in a movie when someone is hanging onto a ledge and someone walks over and steps on their hand.

I'm surprised we even got 3 eaglets in a nest. Usually you'd see 2 and even then there's a big chance of one kicking the other off the nest.
Oh noo 🥺, so sad!!!!!!!! I’ve never seen this kind of eaglet bullying! I’ve only ever seen the bonks 😔. I’m really sad about poor Terzo. Following lots of nests = lots of sadness. Thanks for the update

Their crops are big so not from being hungry. I’ve never seen this much sadness at Milda’s nest before. The nest is too small and the large eaglet is very mean. Milda never helped and she saw this happening many t8mes😢😢

Well, I suggest you don't watch any nest. Life in the wild is brutal! I've never seen the parents intervene in a sibling rivalry. The older chick is assuring it's survival.

Marie seems to be under the impression that this nest is exceptional. I was simply explaining to her that it's not! I can't think of one nest that I've observed, where unfortunate, gruesome events have not occurred. That's simply nature. The parents never intervene in the "pecking order". It's a survival strategy, and the thought that they should intervene is anthromorphism, pure and simple!
Now.. what's taking place in Ukraine (as one example) is NOT natural, and I can't explain the cruelty!

@@kvup3972 It's raptor's nature. Parents just observe and the biggest action I saw mothers did was that they tried to cover her agressive chicks and to sit on all of them for some time. But also sad that mothers in such nests could go to find some more food and never do that.
Mother Natur is amazing and wonderful but sometimes a big ashole.. Poor little lovely Baby. He only wanted to live too..RIP😢🕯

I'm curious as to why the parent did nothing to help, it was infanticide by proxy, but why, there seemed to be enough food, it did look smaller than the others but...
We don't know when the eagles will make a decision. We also don't know whether there would have been enough food. I think the eagles know what they're doing. We humans watch what happens at the nests. Maybe I'll learn something, maybe not
