- It took a while, before I was able to see it again. Therefore only now the video.
I was curious what Milda would do when she got home. I was hoping that she would keep the chick alive. But I also saw her reaction when Raimis pulled Terzo from the nest edge. She didn't want a third chick. This is a pity. I would have loved to see a hawklet grow up in an eagle's nest. It is described in the literature that it happens. And I also saw pictures.
The Hawklet defended itself. It is not easy to watch, but if you look closely you will see that it is typical behavior to kill the prey, what the hawklet is doing. It clawed into an eaglet. In the opposite case, would an adult kill the eaglets. However, a sparrow hawk is not an enemy of the WTE.

This is very hard to see. Was there a short of food?
One of the other young eaglets tried to protect it at first, so sweet!
I know birds do this killing and eating, I saw that in owlsnest also.
Why was the actual killing cut out??? It just cuts to it all of a sudden on its back??
All predators have to kill to live and the young, old and injured are the easiest to kill. I did feel sorry for the little hawk.
This is how you prepare hawklet nuggets for dinner
how did it get there ?
One of the eagle parents snatched it from the hawks nest.
I am curious if someone put the hawklet in the nest?
A good video.
Is the killing part cut?
Imagine the eaglets see their sibling get killed and they start eating it.
They did eat it
Thats a hawklet.
@@mrvuthyband semantics! Geez!
@@SugarRay2 not semantics...I believe it was a baby hawk in an Eagles nest...so not siblings
@@jimmyjay689 ok. To the other babies they see it as one of them. They wouldn’t be able to differentiate.
One of the most troubled nests
sadly u didn't record that missing 12:54~
Did Milda bring the hawklet into the nest? Why kill it? they can be raised as their own. they aren't exactly starving; eat more fish! Sorry Liz, just can't watch it.
Raimis has brought it in. Milda did no want another chick.
Think how human babies must feel when they are murdered in the womb by their mothers!
@@bearcookie13 think of an abandoned orphaned child right now growing up in a lonely broken system when you could go adopt he or she and provide a better life but you don’t.
@@BombAssMailCarrier010 this is like an orphan child being adopted to a new family, but end up as their dinner steak.

What about 2nd breakfast?
How did baby hawk up here ?
One of the eagle parents snatched it from the hawks nest.
Glad we don't have to worry about being eaten alive
To bad, it'll stop world hunger.
2:10 watch as her talon sinks into the belly
that's CLEARLY the neck... but more interestingly is the eye-gouging right afterwards
Mamma assassina
Não é filho dela, foi capturado vivo e levado para o ninho.
Стоят ждут когда мамаша отщипает, все живое едят...
poor baby
En esta secuencia hay hermano de hombre CAIN. El CUAL matara a su hermano mas debil.
Luego madre e hijo se lo comeran. Asi de crueles son estas dulces aves. O pajaritos como le llamamos.Esa es cultura.
It's a sunny day up there, but the darkest day for the poor little thing. Mama is not just killing her weakest chick, but tearing apart the poor chick alive and feed it to her other chicks! @4:50
Little did the poor lil chick know this is its final day in its short life, and its life will end this way!
That wasn't her chick. It was a hawklet from another nest.
Anyone else watching this thinking these eagletts looking pretty tasty??🍽🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍽

食同類會否影響DNA
This isn’t cannibalism, these are eagles, the prey is a hawk. But no, cannibalism doesn’t affect DNA unless you are asking about incredibly rare prion diseases. Kuru or fatal familial insomnia, being two such diseases. Only Kuru is caused by cannibalism.
Tastes like chicken!
