    It’s so amazing to see someone take their vision for how something will look and watch the steps to get there. The abstract style ends up looking so cool!

    Hey Brittnee thank you so much for sharing this. I want to try this for biscuits (cookies), can the fondant be rolled out really thin for biscuits? Thank you also for talking about the paintbrushes, I always assumed you had to use special paintbrushes for the painting and couldn't afford the "food grade" paintbrushes.
    My last question is - lemon extract is very hard to get here in Australia, do you have any other recommendations?

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  20 днів тому

      Oh yes that’ll work! Roll it out thin and cut it in the shape of your cookie if you want. Also you can apply it to the cookie with total icing! Or you could even flood the cookies with royal icing and paint them after.
      If you don’t have lemon extract you can use vodka, it will evaporate after so no worries!

    Thank you for your tutorial but can I ask I want to paint a lower part of a fondant car in black can I use the colour gels the same way as you have shown in your tutorial will it smudge or will it dry? Do I use powder colour or gel colour? Thank you for your help

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  Рік тому

      You're welcome! Yes you can use gels the same way that I do, they shouldn't smudge once they dry. Although the gels do dry a bit tacky compared to the powders which stay really dry and more dusty. Either way you don't want to touch them too much but neither will wipe off or smudge really!

    Any alcohol substitutes?

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  2 місяці тому

      I use lemon extract, some people use everclear. It needs to be alcohol so that it evaporates and leaves only the color behind!

  • @Jade-yx8uu
    @Jade-yx8uu Місяць тому +1

    I'm slightly confused, you say you need alcohol, but lemon extract doesn't have alcohol right?

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  Місяць тому

      Lemon extract has a high percentage of alcohol in it so it evaporates quickly! The liquid in extracts is alcohol, that is how the flavors are extracted...like vanilla extract or almond or lemon!

      @@BrittneeKay oh ok :) then I didn't buy lemon extract but someting else :P
