- Oli had to get up to the cabin to prep for winter visits. Chopping firewood, cleaning up, harvesting potatoes, stripping logs...etc. The best part of the trip was enjoying the quiet at the cabin. We hope you get to sit back and relax and enjoy this video. Thank you so much for watching!

Over the years Everytime I have bought a new truck or jeep I say to myself my dog goes in the back, I am keeping it clean. Never lasts!
I dont care if i drove a rolls royce, my dog is my dawg.
The dog is part of the family. It rides with everyone else. That’s why God invented brooms and sweepers.

Love the autumn / fall , definitely my favourite time of year, there in Alaska where you are looks so peaceful, hardly a sound when you were sitting by that lake , pure heaven to me , and your log burner , burning I think it so relaxing I could literally sit there all day with a cup of coffee just watching the flames .

Lovely cabin.
I was thinking… if you build a box sized slightly larger than would hold a wine bottle, leave both ends open, and mount it to the wall standing on end close to the floor, you can put your door bar in that when you take it off. Then it has a place, out of the way, easy to reach, etc.
anyway, just a thought.

That was a Perfect Drop on the White Birch. Get some Great Bark to stash away for Hikes, etc anywhere you go & might need some help sparking a fire to stay warm or eat.. plus great firewood. Im new today on your channel. I watch your other vids to find out Where you built, how much land etc. looks absolutely gorgeous in the area you picked.. happy for you my friend My Brother in God Above.
I agree with just sitting for awhile to listen to Nothing But Nature. Sooo hard to come by sounds such as those.. God Bless, I'm Big Jim, Retired Home Builder/Remodeler,, owned Gentleman Jim's Construction Company on East Coast for many years. Injured, had to unfortunately retire way too early, wasn't ready for it. Not good financially, Emotionally, BUT, ANYDAY Above Ground is a GREAT DAY ! I like getting up very early in the morning before the birds start chirping. Sit out in the woods and it is very quiet and it is like a orchestra starting to play real soft when the birds start chiring.

Hi Oli, greetings from Czechia, you had a great time!!! It is wonderful to see how Alaska is preparing for winter time. I wonder, if people in Alaska avoid mushrooms picking? As you know it can be called national hobby in CZ, probably in Germany too. So how is it in Alaska? I bet there have to be plenty of mushrooms around. I remember what we found around Dawson city when I was there years ago. Be well!!!

oil the door hinges. all doors. Clean the chimney.. and if there are roof gutters.. clean those as well.

Just what cottagers do all the time...
You plant only the eyes of the potatoes in non acidic and not to wet loamy soil so the potato has room to expand!

Drone does all the above footage , and the camera gets moved around a lot while recording ground work 😃
