Fun fact: this song saved my life. My parents broke up and after a few weeks this song came out and my dad bought this record for my mom. They got back together and I was born a year later. They've been together ever since.
Omg! This is one of the best comments I’ve ever read.
Awww!!😊🥰
You win the internets today dawg
Aww, that's soo romantical!! love these kinds of love stories! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
How beautiful!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the 70's had the best music. Period
Most definitely.
Karen j., I agree. Born in 1970, such great memories.
I was born in '74 I love 70's and 80's music.
@@julies5515 I was born in 1960 To me the best MUSIC WAS From 1967 THREW 1979
AGREED!!!
Still a brother .. just a white one✊
about 50% of us are brothers in this life, keep on keepin on bro
Agreed no matter how much MEDIA tries to divide.
It's crazy to think how connected we all are just through our love for music!!! Got a lotta soul brothas and sistas
@@seanjohnson3920 Ain't that the truth.
Truer words never spoken! ❤️🔥
Hall&Oats, 10CC, Seals&Croft, and Bread are all from the same era of smooth romantic songs.
10cc!!
I used to think it was Hall & Oates
I love Bread “Make it with you” “Lost without your love” Baby I’m-a want you”
Reminds me of my dad introducing me to some amazing music during my childhood! 💙
I think it's called "Yacht Rock" these days.
Ambrosia - ‘You’re The Only Woman ‘ or ‘How Much I Feel’ 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yessss
Yaaasss !
Yaaaaaaahhhhh
Yes, please!
Absolutely
This song is more impressive to me now than when I was a teen in the 70's. Back then I thought it was fluff. Now, I see how talented these dudes were.
So true!! Especially more appreciated compared to a lot of what's out nowadays, and thanks to the priceless reaction of Mr. Video.
I feel bad for those of you who are too young to have lived in the 70's. Awesome time to grow up.
I wasn’t born in the 70s but it’s a definitive part of my history...my parents were teens/adults of the decade....and it led to the creation of me in the next decade.
@@goat1408 LO L RIGHT ON , I was born in 60 ,,I WOULD love to go back in a half of a blink Bell bottom pants on the babes featherd hair lip gloss mini skirts o yaaaaah , MUSIC LIKE THIS EVERY WERE

❤Ambrosia❤
"How Much I Feel"
"Biggest Part of Me"
"You're the Only Woman"
🎵Ambrosia gets the award for
songs like these. Smooth as hell.
That's wierd...I'm a metalhead from the 80's and I have all these songs on my ipod.
I like Ambrosia 👍
yep!
Both of these bands were classic ❤
I love Ambrosia , Your the only Woman as well as the rest of this iconic group from the 70’s . Although my generation is from the 80’s it was due to my dad ( RIP DADDY) who exposed us to ALL DIFFERENT GENERS OF MUSIC I AM SO GRATEFUL HE DID FROM HIS GENERATION TO EVEN MINE WHICH THE MAN LOVED AND KEPT LOVING ALL DIFFERENT MUSIC ALWAYS). Great share thank you 👍❤️🎼💃
Opened a rabbit hole...Kiss you All Over from Exile, Sometimes When We touch-Dan Hill, How Long -Ace, I Go Crazy-Paul Davis, Just Wanna Stop-Gino Vanelli That should keep you busy for a while LOL!!!!
Fun Fact, Gino Vanelli was the first white artist on Soul Tarim.
This kind of music is a massive rabbit hole! How about "Fool (If You Think It's Over)" by Chris Rea or "Year Of The Cat" by Al Stewart
Yessss! You picked some great ones-
Blue Eyed Soul is what this Genre of music is called.
This song still hits me hard. Danced to this song many times with my first true love, still brings tears to my eyes. Also sister golden hair by America.
Also Daisy Jane
Sister golden hair is good 💜
Sister golden hair! Seriously one of those songs that makes me cry like a little girl. Could be because I was a little girl when hearing it first. Not sure what was happening at that time but it hits me hard.
So Funny ....😅 you thinking it was Brother... lol. Love your emotions on all the songs, mine 3x that... lol. I lived those early days, and yes, nothing ever beats the oldies.
I cannot even find the words to express how this songs makes me feel- I remember it so well and it is just beautiful- Goosebumps everywhere
Same
I had an argument at work over this song, my buddy swore this was a Bee Gees song, I bet him it wasn't...google won me a coffee!! 😀
Fortunately, I grew up during the 70s. Best music era by far.
Dude, if you are going to have a boom box outside a lady's window, you have to play the song "in Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. That's the official boom box try and get your lady back song.
It's the law.
Its so amazing how just one moment in a movie can become so iconic that no one can ever hear that song without picturing John Cusack with his boom box outside of her house even 30 years later. I love that!
Especially the live concert video of this from South Africa with Peter and top African musicians and Paula Cole!
The guy in red playing the bass is Ronn Moss, who played Ridge Forrester on The Bold & The Beautiful for a long time.
I screamed when I seen that it was Ridge Forrester lmao 😆💁🏻♀️👍🏻🙃
@@katejones2148 😄😄😄😄
😍 I know!
@@katejones2148 And Ridge was a PLAYER ON BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. STILL IS HIS REPLACEMENT WITH OLD BEHIND. HE NEVER GROWS UP.
@@adithalee8660 I would get so frustrated with him, make up your mind already, Taylor or Logan!!
Same genre, one-hit wonder Ace and their 1975 single: "How Long."
Definitely need to do this!
Also would say check out Cliff Richard "Devil Woman"
LOVE that song!
Great song!!
@@DirtbagLefty how about Wicked Dream ?
Yacht Rock! Ron Moss is in the band, also played Ridge Forrester on tv's The Bold And The Beautiful. Just some useless info!!
I didn't recognize him until the end, now I have to watch again. Lol never knew.
I came to the comments to see if anyone else knew this😊
I was shocked because I always thought he started that soap in his 20s but he was 35! He looked so much younger than his age.
😲
Lol it s funny to see him.here
getting comfortable and screwing things up is quintessential human trait. Good thing is that you learn from it.
Well said sir
It's official, then. I've been human dozens of times, and forever learnin. Well put Abel Catacho
Hand's down, one of the very best!!!!
WHAT MEMORIZE FORTY YEARS LATER HE PLAYS THE SAME SONG... HE PLAYED AROUND ONE TO MANY TIMES ...SO HE LOST ME. STILL LOVE HIM SO. FROM AFAR.💞💞💞
We all brothas brotha
Except some of us are sistas Xx
Hey buddy you should also try this one too from the group EXILE "I wanna kiss you all Over" , trust me you will love it !! Ronny
Another great song!!
I second that!
The live Midnight Special version is great!
Hearing all these great songs just reaffirms the so called music today out right sucks!
This song was very active in my playlist for my high school parking days.
Bumblebee played this in transformers when megan fox got out off the car 😂 this is a jam!
I remember that scene! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I hear this song.
This song got a lot of air time on the radio when I was in high school. Hit number one in 1977, and was ten on the R&B charts in 1978.
I was waiting the whole time for the high voice Ain't there nothing left for me-hee!!
Nice comment 😅😅😅
🤣🤣
Best part of the song!♥️👏
How in the heck has no hip hop artist sampled that opening of this song?!?! It sounds perfect for it!
Love this song! A classic! We used to have a little dog named Baby, and whenever he ran too far on a walk, we'd sing "Baby come back!". 😂
Dude, that's the thing about freedom you can listen to that sh*t as much as you want💚
Ambrosia was smoother. Hah
"How Much I Feel" "Biggest Part of Me", "You're the Only Woman
Check the out.
True
I thought that when I grew up, falling in love was going to be like an Ambrosia song.
He's got to do some Ambrosia!

Ottis Redding's These Arms of Mine is definitely a song that you'd like.
One of my All time favorite slow dance songs
Love Great suggestion
Another great song that reminds me of being at the rollerskating rink during couples skate !!!
I used to think this was a Hall & Oates song.
Oh yeah!
High school dances for me.We didn't have a local skating rink.Miss those days.
Ambrosia “You’re the only woman”
And “How much I feel”
Another vote for "You're the Only Woman"
Heard this song a lot on the radio growing up but never knew the group was white. That being said I love this song and I know every word
These Eyes by The Guess Who.
I think you’ll enjoy that song.
This makes me think of the scene in 'Superbad' where the skinny kid is mistaken as a singer by a bunch of doped up guys at a party and they make him sing. He sings 'These Eyes'.
‘Hall & Oats - Sara Smile’ you’ll be thinking the same about them and if you’d heard that on the radio lol
Sara Smile is a stone cold jam!!! Mr. Video will freaking go nuts on that one!!!
I was in the car singing the shit out of "Sara Smile" and "She's Gone" by them just today. Those songs are pure gold.
@@RUSHChick I forgot about She's Gone!!!
This!!!!! Sara Smile is one of my favourites.
@@sersastark I'm totally listening to it now. He really does hit those notes nicely.
I think you are the happiest reactor that I've come across. Thanks for your honest reactions.
Love it! Check out Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" for more blue eyed soul.
Mickey Thomas 😎
I totally love "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" I was so happy when my favorite music artist Rod Stewart did a good cover version of that song.
Yess
My husband always says this was ‘our song’.
Hold on, Elvin Bishop is white? Am I the only person who didn't know that?
70s was a groove like no other.
The bass player is Ron Moss. He was Ridge Forrester on The Bold and Beautiful for years!
No way
@@debcothran7564 yep took me about 4 years to figure it out! Lol.
There’s another guy in the band that looks a lot like Ron. I’ve always wondered if that’s his brother. Too lazy to Google it and see though. Lol
I used to watch that show for years go figgure
I thought that was him. Thanks for confirming it. I had no idea he was in a band when he was younger.
Beautiful reaction. Your eyes told it all.
I could have listened to it all over again with you if you just started it over again!!
Well, I just pushed watch again!! lmao
Me too! ♥️
Same!
❤️
👁👁💔🖤❤😘 First I will say, The 70s had the BEST music in all genres of music. It also had the most hits that were one hit wonders, like this one. 😍😍
Im with ya ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The nuke BOMB WAS THE 70s
Back when we didn't care what color the person singing on the radio was, just that it was great music.
I love to see anyone really feel the music. Mostly because music is so powerful. Thank you 💜 4 🎶
You really enjoy the music and it shows.
Funny story. The dark haired guy in the red shirt played on the soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful for years as Ridge Forrester. Don’t know if your Mom or Grandma ever watched soap operas but if so, you might have seen him there. Great song and great music group 😊
Pablo Cruise: "LOVE WILL FIND A WAY"
Love that song as well as "A Place In The Sun", "Whatcha Gonna Do", "Raging Fire", "Atlanta June", "Inside/Outside", and "Drums In The Night"
Great reaction! This was an iconic song in the late ‘70s. “Player” had tremendous solo vocals and group harmony vocals. This song also has those catchy instrumental hooks, and a really cool guitar solo. A beautiful jam all the way around!
Your reaction is a perfect example of why I am so hooked on reactions. (Aside from the fact that I really enjoy your personality, that is.) I almost didn't watch this one because I saw the song listed, and I thought, "Oh yeah, I know that song very well. It's okay. Nothing too special about this song. I can't imagine that a reaction to this would be particularly interesting. I think I'll skip this one." I thought that because, being 61 yrs old, I've heard this song about a thousand times. I've gotten so familiar with it that's it's become almost like background music at this point. I know every note, every beat, every word... and it's kinda ho-hum now. But seeing you experience it for the first time gave me a chance to hear it with new ears, as if I'd never heard it before. It gave me a chance to notice the awesome elements of the song that I'd gotten complacent about. I have a whole new appreciation for this record, and now I'm in love with song again, just like I was 40 years ago.
This whole reaction phenomenon is the coolest thing in the world!!!!! Thanks for another great reaction. And thanks for doing the old songs. It's wonderful to see them find a new life.
I love this..you're right....this song played on the radio in the 70s daily for a year. That male trait.
One of my favorite songs. I listen to this song over and over and over again.
Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show is everything you need in your life. Carry Me Carrie,Sylvia's Mother,Better Love Next Time...basically find the greatest hits press play
Better Love Next Time 🔥🔥🔥
Not “go yo ass back” I almost hollered in this office 😂
Also, "the biggest part of me" by Ambrosia, "drive" by The Cars, "I've been waiting (for a girl like you)" by Foreigner, and a song that I swear is amazing but hardly anyone has heard it: "you stay with me" by Ricky Martin, "more than words" by Extreme, and, lol busting out the big guns here, "Missing You Now" by Michael Bolton.
Talent doesn't discriminate and great music never gets old.
You should check out Love Rollercoaster by the Ohio Players, then the cover by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.... will not disappoint
I like "Love Rollercoaster" as a song
Yes,great!!
And Skin Tight!
Classic mellow '70's music. I loved it then, and I still do. #1 couples song at skate night.
Their song "This Time I'm In it For Love" Is really good as well.
Reminds me of that long-ass infomercial for that box set of classic hits. But not gonna lie...it’s a damn good box set. Lol
😂
Your expressions & reactions are on point Leo 😅😅😅
Oh yes!! My crush!! Love this song and the band! Great musicians and vocalist!!
I grew up with this song... a one-hit wonder band though. Still, it's a song that sticks with you.
The song by Ambrosia named "how much I feel " have the same player vibe! Good shit!
If you like this vibe you'll love a band called Ambrosia. they had a few big hits like "How Much I Feel" and "Biggest Part Of Me" and also "You're The Only Woman". These songs about love when it only existed in a little girl's mind. Good memories.
Same for me. I definitely remember daydreaming about love when I was little and listening to these songs. Funny how easy those memories come back when I hear these songs again.
Yeah, I too grew up with this song and it made me think love is real. 😆 🤣
Amazing soulful group for the day. This is another Iconic song from the 70’s I love and was exposed to by my father ( thank God RIP a daddy who taught us all genres of music no matter what).
