- It’s been a few weeks since I’ve started or driven the bug. I wanted to go over things with it to make sure it’s ready for the upcoming toy drive. I have some maintenance I need to take care of and it should be ready to roll.

When an alternator fails to charge, it's nearly always just a dud regulator in my experience. Replacing that is a LOT cheaper than a whole new alternator. Also, you said the idiot light wasn't working? I've had a problem with mine because I changed the idiot light for a small LED warning light, but the charging circuit needs a certain amount of resistance in the idiot light circuit to "excite" the alternator and get it to charge and mine wasn't charging because of the really low resistance LED . If your idiot light bulb has blown or has as bad connection, I guess it would do the same thing.
The idiot light is working, it just didn’t turn off when I would rev the engine. I never had any issues before I switched to this new powder coated alternator with the idiot light. I never thought of the internal regulator going bad but that’s something I’m going to look into and something hopefully I can replace fast.

She was!! The video was alot longer but i edited the start up down. I didn’t think anyone would be interested in the whole cold start up.
couldn't you use a bit of ether cold start fluid just like the diesels

Hi , do you had any leaks in your engine. Also nice video.
None from the turbo but it leaks from a crack from my own doing. I damaged the case a while ago and it leaks a little oil. That’s why I have the containment pan underneath the engine.
@@EmmettRacing ok I had the same , couple leaks one in the oil pan cover and sometimes from the pulley when I rev to high but nothing from the turbo. Thanks for the reply.
