Even though this game had it's ups and downs (infuriatingly frustrating downs), I'm still glad I played it. The early days were lots of fun. I met so many good friends through this game, who I'm still very close to this day. 💜

@@ProbablyHanzo420 From what I remember reading - It costs a lot to keep the servers online and the next payment has come up but they cannot afford it. The game isn't bringing in enough income to be able to keep it up

cant believe we played school of dragons for 9 years now. I'm 17 now sobbing on a broken vid game the time we spent midnights playing it, the money and remembering every drag name and their powers, meeting alot of friends ...etc,im sure it changed our personality or at least mine, looking at all the figurines and posters around the room breaks my heart now but i will always remember meeting silver multiple of times in the game and that we will always know that we were dragon riders ,if i was and still have an obsession i know it was this game and dragons even tho in my opinion last movie was missed up ,it was fun, Goodbye SoD
Same, I'm 17 too and this was basically my break away from reality back in senior school. It's been roughly 5 years playing school of dragons. I still remember the first day playing it, asking my mum to help me unlock to cage for my sand wraith Sungazer (Formerly known as Lightning- dunno why-). The moment I had my sand wraith, I knew I was gonna enjoy this game. And yes I did. So many memories from first getting my eruptodon egg to first getting membership, my clan The Nightlight Racers, everything. There's so many things that I will miss in this game.
Same, im 17 now as well, been playing 9 years and I remember making so many guest accounts coz younger me couldn’t figure out how to make a permanent one. I remember how you’d start off on berk and have your first flight with toothless, hatching your first dragon and doing quests with the cast, it was so much fun
Im gonna miss this game, all my dragons, my friends… man its been a good one.
Seems like a lot of us are 17 here haha. But yeah, it’s depressing to see such a big part of our childhoods disappear like this.

Seems like life is flashing before my eyes again seeing all of these old clips.
I've only been playing SOD since March of this year, but I'm certainly going to miss it. It's very bittersweet to see and read the experiences of players who've played longer than me, even since the game came out, I can't imagine how some of you may be feeling about the game's sunsetting, still. It's really been fun, thank you, SOD.
i made my account in 2016 when I was only ten, now i’m 18. I haven’t touched the game since 2019 (according to my last adopted dragons) but I logged on today and reminisced. I spent so many hours on this game, I was addicted. I also watched your videos a lot, too. I had to see what you were doing. Thank you SoD and you for being apart of my childhood.
HTTYD was an insanely huge part of my childhood, dragons were my special interest and HTTYD scratched every dragon related itch in my brain. I plan on mg first tattoo being a Toothless tattoo ♥️
Man I remember watching these videos and then finally getting the game. It’s been around 6 or 7 years since I joined, kinda sad to see it go like this. Excited for what comes next tho!! :D

She’s relieved because she doesn’t have to deal with the stress of making SoD content anymore after the shut down, given that she’s hated having to make SoD videos for a long while now.
At the same time, the game’s existed for almost 10 years of her life, it’s a bitter sweet end.
No matter what, people are allowed to enjoy memories. Don’t be rude just because she has some highlights she cherishes.

I’m really gonna miss this game, I remember the first time I played it which was on my grandpa’s ipad and my first dragon was a green monstrous nightmare. I will truly miss this game and wish I could play at least one last time but it won’t let me log in cuz it’s stuck in the loading screen.

I enjoyed seeing this compilation of your best moments and memories from the game - some I recognized but there were also a lot of gems I hadn't seen before.
I've played SOD since when it first came out (so almost for 10 years), and it was a huge part of my childhood, so it's sad to see it go. I did finally manage to let go though - because yeah it does have its issues lol. And I'm not a little kid anymore; I don't find the same enjoyment in it that I used to. I ultimately took some recordings so I have some memories to look back on if I want to, and that's all I need. It served its purpose in my life and now it's time to move on to new things - I'll always remember the fun I had though. We'll be together from afar forever 🎶

I never got to get to ultimate dragon trainer star (because I never had enough gems and I always had to deal with glitches.) but I’m still sad it’s going. I’ve been playing since my birthday in 2016. I’ll miss this game.
Sod legends was really good while it lasted an incredible series.

I started playing this game 5 months after it came out, judging from my first dragon who was adopted on November 6th 2013. This game holds a special place in my heart since it was the first true dragon MMO I’ve played before certain Roblox games. That being said, this game really pissed me off with its monetizing decisions and the inclusion of dragon tactics down the line. I was bad at dragon tactics as a kid and it meant I never finished one of the expansions lol, and I put my foot down with the battle pass-type event that was Halloween with the Night Lights. I ain’t paying for that. I quit for several years with a very strong hatred of this game, then I came back when I heard it was shutting down…oh, not really for the sentimental value, I wanted the free stuff lol. I think my biggest issue is who made this game, if any good MMO developer that wasn’t JumpStart made it, it’d be much less educational and more in-depth in my opinion.
It isn’t a terrible game, it’s just stomped on my foot too many times and I’m glad to see it put out of its misery after having a skeleton player base for years. It really wasn’t built to last 10 years, but it did, and we enjoyed that it’s life wasn’t cut short due to bs, but now it’s massively outlived its lifespan and it’s time to let it rest In peace. So long, School of Dragons, I hope Dreamworks reboots you someday with much more updated tools and textures so the game is less buggy and muddy looking.

I’m going to miss this game. As much as it was a buggy mess fair share of times. There was a beauty in the game. But hey that’s probably cause I A love HTTYD with my very being or B I just like old bit clunky games lol. In all seriousness tho despite wasn’t able to play alot of it. I was glad to know and enjoy the stuff of SOD around its very beginnings and enjoyed it all by watching silvers videos (despite her getting tired playing it).
