What software do you use for editing your 1 R videos? I know they have their own program but is there anotjer editing software you would recommend or prefer
Great having both of you on a review!! Great info, an interesting year for this camera system and its software. Good point on that new battery not needing the cage making it more convenient (but needing it for under water). At 9:00 which lens was used? Super clear and sharp!! 👍👍
On the other hand, if you don't use the cage, you can't use lens-protectors or filters either? (I don't have the camera myself - yet? - but I believe ND-filters clip onto the cage.)
I love you channel, it's great ! I didn't keep my camera 4 weeks, was so dissapointed in the video quality when on my car , and the problems people were reporting on the FB group with freezing and fogging were getting me down, then I did get fogging, even here in the UK, I sold it and now have the Max, and it is so luxourious to press "Record" and you know it will do , no chance of it stopping because of heat or other things ! If GoPro had similar software, it would be amazing !!

The Insta360 One R One Inch Edition is my first action cam. I have had it for a little more than a month. I love this cam so far. Today I downloaded the firmware update. I have not tested the new features yet. Sounds very interesting, though.

The OneX2 is also not waterproof and they have the worst customer service ever. I sent my camera back in twice and the last time - I've been waiting 2 months and still have not received my camera.

I’m defo intrigued by the 360 features, though I’m really not keen on footage that looks spherical or heavily warped. I’d want it for action and vlogging mainly. How robust is the 360 module? Would you need a case or any sort of protection for the lenses? Also, does it always shoot using both lenses? Cheers!
I bought the Camera based on your video (and others) one year ago. Very disappointed. The camera had an aweful time disconnecting and struggling to reconnect. Then, one year and 3 weeks after I purchased it the camera module crashed completely and wouldn't fire up. Contacted Insta360 and Zack said: "We do provide One-Year Warrant service, and if you already noticed there is quality issue with your camera in early time, you ought to consult our technical support team earlier". Brutal., I now own a $600 paperweight. Stay Away!
Hi. Just got my Insta360 One R. Took a photo, imported to my iPhone, deleted the photo in camera. If my friend, who has an android, wants to get a copy of the photo and work on it in the Insta360 app, do you know how to copy/transfer the 360 photo from my iPhone to the android? We tried tapping on share but it just keeps on exporting as a jpeg file in my iPhone album. Haven’t gotten to the step of importing to the android phone’s Insta360 app yet. Thanks in advance.
There was also an update to Insta360's user agreement, now the user agrees "2.4 The account users set shall not violate applicable laws and regulations of China". I'm not in China, so I'm not OK with agreeing to this.

That's the comparison I'm looking for. I just want an action cam with the absolute best quality, don't care about 360 at this time. Only thing that concerns me is the stabilization is almost non-existent in the Sony (only in post processing)... What's your experience with this been?

Why not cover the Studio software? I´m pretty sure most folks want to edit their footage on a computer and not on a phone, I sure as hell do and would never edit footage on a phone.
Have you done this type of review for the max I just wounded that aqua to go under water I think that would be good for the gopro max I find the gopro max would quiet easily slip out of your hand why do they feel like your holding porsilin China
What is that red dot of death you showed in this video review? Any specific conditions cause it? You mentioned it can be used as web cam: is that wired to a PC o byr WIFI and at what resolution and what is the wired connection type? is it controlled with buttons or with screen menus and does the screen work well as opposed to the GoPro 9 disaster? None of these reviews cover customer support and it's absolutely awful. ~40 emails and over 8 months later they say they couldn't resolve the issue even if they wanted to because it's been over 8 months since purchase. Seriously dodgy company-avoid.
@@semajgnik Amazon are one of the most unethical companies on Earth, I’d rather support ethical companies and public services than put more money in Bezos’ pocket. They’re also know for banning customers that return products even when it’s their right under local consumer law. Just some reasons why no one should ever buy anything from Amazon.
@@nomasprime I've returned plenty of things to Amazon (including an expensive phone, 13 months after the purchase, for a full refund) and I've never been banned. I imagine they ban people who take advantage and return every single item they purchase - these people, who take advantage of returns policies like this, increase the prices for everyone else. Therefore I don't care if they get banned. However, I do agree with you in that they are an unethical company. Since the Covid struggles I have started shopping at Amazon less and supporting local businesses instead where possible. With an item like this though, the only other companies that sell it in my market are large companies. Therefore I would go for the one with best price and returns policy - Amazon.

camera is great and does so much more than i will ever know. BUT: but the app!!!sigh! classic case of spending all the money on the camera and forgetting about an app portrait???? really? is it the 90's? come on!! should've been in the first update the heat when its attempting to download could power a small town. needs to go in the freezer to manage it the extremely s l o w download rate any videos over 20min you can forget about them! mine get half way thru downloading and it crashes not sure if because the heat or the poor app for transfers a cable is needed but as of yet there isn't one available in this country if you can get past these its a great camera, very affordable but you pay for it in the poor quality of the app
Hi - great review - agree with most of what you said and I do use it a lot around London, but I found a couple of issues that I thought I would share. I had issues with fogging on the 360 lens after about 30 ins of contiuos use on videos. I now have two 360 lenses and do shorter takes and use the silica gell and this has helped - I also found the 360 lens to be superior in terms of stabilzation - see my short test here. vimeo.com/432263210 - hope that helps

So that means no Winnie the Pooh jokes or mentions of Tiananmen massacre, Hong Kong democracy, human rights etc.
There's no need to get an account, though. The camera and the app works nicely without it.
