I have been completely torn between the new gopro 9 hero and this Insta360 R One for DAYS!! Your video was the one and only video I needed to buy this Insta360 R One Cam. Other Insta360 video reviews were "ok", but your review was absolutly INSANE! Now I'm buying a ticket to Norway and getting some amazing shots! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
i know im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Angel Quinn I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I'm loving mine. Experimenting with astrophotography milky-way on the 1 inch and so far very pleased with the results. If you're interested in the same combo he has, it's called the Expert Edition which is 360 mod and 1 inch 5k mod as opposed to the twin edition which is the 360 mod and 4k mod. I've got a video testing the stability on my motorbike on my channel.
The size really fits into any travel bag while the sensor size and modulated parts makes it so much interesting. (Also cool to use it under water) I love you Vlogs of behind the scenes of your timelapses, I learn things and get inspired ALOT. Thanks for this awesome share you do....
Amazing video. I am very impressed how sharp and clear the time lapse came out ! This camera seems amazing! I am thinking to buy it. Thanks for posting!!
Really great video. Came here after doing a search specifically as I want to use the Insta360 One R for time-lapses. So inspired from your video and the quality of the time-lapses look outstanding. Always used GoPro's and was considering the GoPro 9 but having seen this...it kinda changes things ;-)
Uhm, first of all you're cute how passionate you are about what you do and how far you're willing to go for a good shot. Second of all thanks for inspiring me to do a bit more with my Insta360 camera. I recently got it but I've been a bit scared to use it, I'm too much of a newbie, but the thing is I'll never get better if I don't practice, so yesterday 14.12.2020 there was the Geminis meteor shower and I went to film a little starlapse not only in the middle of the night but in the middle of nowhere and I'm quite happy I got out of my comfort zone to do it. Thanks.
Attracted by your video title. Watched the Norway timelapse video. it's amazing. Thanks for providing this docu-video! (as for how i think of the camera, i like it, it's the only action camera with the 1-inch sensor now on market. i did the timelapse with it myslef, i like it!) really attracted by your video. LIKE your style! Subscribed! hope to see more such videos from you!
If I could one thousand thumbs up I would! Wonderful video.thanks for all you time and energy taken to please us. I just bought mine few days ago! And guess what I am also a Lulix S1R shooter, with Leica lenses... thanks again.
I think the recovered scene seems a little too dark but I guess the direct sunlight would require some hell of bracketing. I was just thinking, what was the weight of your backpack on this trip exactly. Still you brought some gear with you. Thanks for sharing this trip! Love that, would like to do this too.
What a beautiful video, so many amazing time-lapse scenes. I almost forgot this is a review video. I got the camera couple weeks ago, but haven't really have chance to use it yet. Thanks for sharing. It's a bit pity , you didn't use the camera to make a star trail time-lapse, but at 20:11 is close enough, still so beautiful. :D
What a wonderful bts video. Thank you Morten. Now the new RS 1-Inch 360-Edition got released. Is the ability to change the frame and pan etc in post interesting for your timelapse work? Are you might considering trying it out and do a bts video again as well?
Yes indeed. I'm using the Insta 360 1X and a Sony 100 M7 with a 200 mm effective lens and I have some great mountains but rain and clouds are rare in the American south western desert. The weight factor has made these primary over my DSLR. Thanks
Ridiculously beautiful! Never would have guessed such a small camera could capture this. I mean yes, the photographer being Morten probably helps a fair share... But this is ridiculous!
We have this camera & surprisingly is much better at photography than video. So many things wrong with this camera though. My next video will explain everything if you’re interested. Happy you got some nice files with it ✌️
Hi Morten, I'm one of the buyers of your course, it is just fantastic! I'm wondering if you could make a new video sharing your experience of how to react to the weather's change (for example, raining, water drop) while you are shooting on location, I think this might be an interesting topic that a lot of people would like to discuss, lol, thanks!
@@morten.rustad Hi Morten, thank you for replying! I already joined your Facebook group, I'm very close to the end of my first time-lapse project, I'll share it with you guys when it finished!
Funny! I always thought the shot with the two trees covered in fog were the only interesting part of that scenery. Little did I know that a whole mountain is laying behind them! Awesome
Hi Morten It's a really nice video, and the results are simply beautiful. Can you post the brand and model of the dolly you use, it looks light and very transportable. Thanks in advance
Hi Morten, very nice timelapses and incredible views, and I always believe the struggles to get to the most beautiful views. My question is that how did you manage to get the batteries on insta360 giving constant juice more than 30mins on the standard batteries?
Morten, nice review and beautiful landscapes......During your filming, did you experience any Heating issues? I wanted to like this cam (I have a One X), but my cam kept shutting down after as little as 25 min of video recording. I mounted the One R and One X in my car, so they would both be in the same environment, as I drove around running some errands. After 28 min, the One R shut down, while the One X kept on ticking. I purchased and used the recommended mini-sd card with all recordings. After 3 days of this, I returned the One R for a full refund. If you didn't have heating issues, you may have had better QC, since Insta360 reached out to you?
Your video is very inspiring. I tried timelapse with my Insta360 One R 1 Inch but not yet successfully done. I first tried automatic for sunset sunrise. Later I tried manually mode with interval mode and edited in lrtimelapse but still not satisfied with the result as the flicker seemed unable to eliminate. Could you please share your tips for the shooting mode. I have nd filters 32 as maximum. Tia.
Awesome video, really appreciate. Maybe if you can, consider placing on each time-lapse a block with info like. ISO:200 / Shutter-speed: auto / Frame interval: 2seconds / Lens: 1 inch module You can also get with that placing amazon affiliate links related to the gear you used on each shot, so for each timelapse, you would include: the camera, lens, filters, the tripod, powerbank,... ;) Anyway, I've subscribed and will follow-up on your next videos.
Hey buddy, nice authentic video, congrats. I'm planing on getting one and I noticed you mention 2 seconds for the exposure time. Let me get it clear: can you set manual settings on timelapses? Thank you
wait wait wait, you have a *functioning* Syrp Genie? I had to RMA the first, now the second is garbage and doesn't work. This was after thinking it would be better than the Edelkrone I purchased years ago...that was broken for most of that...but funny enough is now the only working slider I have.
Wow Morten,... indeed awesome timelapse stuff! By the way, do you (or does someone) know what's the best method (or where), to sell 8k timelapse footage?
I've been on the fence about the One R for a while now, even though I like 360 imagery, because I have been somewhat disappointed with the output of the Ricoh Theta cameras. After the specific features you mentioned and your footage, I finally decided to retire the Ricohs and threw a One R kit into my shopping cart.
Hey Morten, Thx for that nice video. I also use the Insta360 for time lapsing. Now I saw in this video, that you fixed your power bank on your tripod. How dit you fixed it? I'm looking for a solution to fix it. Maybe you can upload oder send a pic of it? At the moment I'm using a pocket, but this is not the best way. Thx a tone. Best greetings from Germany.
Not only great video, but respect for that kind of hike carrying all that gear!
This was so awesome! I have the One r myself and it’s a beast. Happy you’re partnered with Insta360 they really make a great product
Thanks!

Does the insta 360 have a body cam or a head cam without a helmet. All the filming I see is either people holding a cam stick or a cam stand.
You can use whatever GoPro accessories you want, they have the same mount
