Wow, I can't believe how bright it is at 9pm. I just moved from Arizona (desert) to Virginia back in 2022 and now I have to deal with more humidity. In the AZ desert we were out early in the morning at 6am skating because of the heat. It would already be 84 degrees. But here in VA it can be 75 degrees and still feel hot because of the humidity. Specially if there is no breeze to cool us off at the skatepark.
Take care of that knee! I can't tell which knee pads you have, but I recommend the biggest vert knee pads money can buy. You won't regret it when going down and sliding on your knees.
Thanks for sharing Steve! Great to see you skating as always! I'm thinking of doing my own weekly videos of skateboarding progress and tutorials... but more advanced stuff like grinding, rails, flipping the board. You have inspired me!

Know all about that humidity. Skated almost 4 hours today in 90 degree heat with high humidity and I'm dead now! (plus fell hard on my hip 3 different times) Those carves are looking great!! Your kickturn vs carve observation reminds me of surfing, frontside is always easier on a wave than backside, probably because you can see down the line better. That sunset was beautiful, what a great way to end a skate session! Keep it up!

New sub here! Love this channel. I'm 47 and just now getting back to it after 30plus years as well. Starting back again has been a whole new experience for me as well and am completely hooked also. Sorry to hear about your knee slam, I highly suggest you level up on those knee pads and get some of the full Killer Pro versions, the padding is twice as thick and you'll thank yourself many times over for getting them. The ones you have are ok for little spills on tiny stuff but us older guys need all the help we can get in saving our joints, you just wan to get up, dust yourself off and carry on not hurt for weeks after or adding to the fear of progressing 👊
