So funny when you got stuck. I immediately said out loud "put it in 4 wheel drive idiot!" then you go on to make a joke out of your blunder. Good stuff man. Liked and subbed. Cheers, Gorbag
Very cool movie again guys :) as always. I love the editing, and the more personal story behind it.. and the mishaps hehe.. we can all learn from them. Nice!
Epic vid mate! Definitely subscribing. A few mates and I did adelaide road last summer around march so it was mostly dry although there was a few mud holes still and we managed to get a Forester through it! The Forester also rescued a GQ! :D
Hey mate... awesome video... just a word of advice... on mud, you dont want to really let your tires anymore than 25psi, as all it does is lower your diff clearances... which is key on mud and ruts. Need to head out together sometime.
Mountain State Overland haha, man Instagram is the bomb. As soon as we pop into range off I go :p We aren't shooting 4k no. The better shots come out of a Nikon D750, but a good chunk of it is shot on a Nikon AW110 which is just a waterproof compact cam.
Well done, good video! Finally someone from WA. Questions for owner of Navara D22, mate i have same car as yours, underneath of your Navara D22 what is that kind of tank is this where should be your spear tyre? .Thanks keep make videos!
I have taken down the names of the road where you turn off to this secret ( non secret now) track and inserted the GPS co-ordinates. Will be going down there later towards the end of the year with two other vehicles and their families. We all have winches. One way we stop water from entering inside the cars is to use Gaffer tape all around the door seals and the climb in and out via the window/s. Works every time
Steinwaygrande Holy shit man that Gaffer tape idea is the best! Can't believe I never thought of that! We have since been back down that track after much more rain and holy whack it's muddy! Should be alright with a snorkel, winches and a bit of experience.
+Intents Offroad Hi mate. Yes the gaffer tape around the doors and tailgate prevents any water coming in. Totally dry inside even when the water is lapping at the windows. Bit trick y getting in and out but sure as hell saves a lot of water damage and an expensive insurance claim. Keep several rolls of tape in the car at all times.
Next time you do this track give us a hoy takes us 2 hours max and we actually do the drop off where you took the chicken track and please do not throw wood into holes as the last person that cost someone a new sump with bash plate .we run this track regularly and the best time to do it is at the end of winter when the water is up to the window also if you are going to tell people about it please advise them to keep there rubbish IN there cars we picked up a full garbage bag just yesterday
mimixownzall not really, all our prickly stuff exists at waist height really, apart from the odd tree that drops prickly leaves but they aren't too bad. I'm more worried about broken glass in the mud to be honest.
Dont know if anyone is looking at this, but I would be very interested to know where this track takes you to. Be greatful is someone can let me know where this track ends up.
good video mate, love your work, bit different to the boring bogan chanels usually online. and yeh the navara airbox is a stupid design, gotta completely take it off with mine also
@@Alex.G Awesome Cheers for that, I thought it was from what I've seen, planning a video there in the next few weeks with a bit of camping with any luck 🤙🏻
Mountain State Overland Haha cheers bro, yeah getting the boots wet isn't an option for me, I'd rather go in with as little clothing as possible so I don't take so long to dry off :p I am ever conscious of the fact that I could tread on broken glass or metal though...
With some 4wds, such as GQ patrols, you have to hop out and turn the dials in the middle of the front wheels to lock it into 4wd. With the auto hub, all you have to do is move the transfer case into 4wd and they automatically lock for you. Then to unlock them you put the transfer into 2wd and back the car up a metre or 2 until you hear them click out. Unfortunately they tend to play up once in a while and may lock in on the road, or clunk in and out which is what mine started doing
Alistair Mcgown I normally do, but I forgot to lock it in when I pulled off the highway and managed to drive all that way until I realised when I got stuck.
nice video love what you do with your Channel sweet editing skills you have my subscription would love to have your support as well keep up the good work looking forward to catching up on your Channel
Intents Offroad It has been deemed the evil fuel by the eco maniacs. It probably started with us not jumping on the bandwagon back in WW2. Almost all of our stuff, even tanks, ran on petrol fuel. You do see some cars like the VW TDI but that's about it. Only thing we use diesels on are for heavy duty use. You can get your 3/4 ton and up pickups in diesels but not small pickups (as a general rule). Part of this problem is that diesel is more expensive due to its heavy taxing to get money from the trucking companies to help pay for the supposed road damage semis cause (though studies have shown this is a fable).
Nice video mate - looks like a cruisy trip - cheers for checking the bog holes for me, now I know I won't have to worry about most of them.
Harry Fisher Haha that's right mate, be wary of that margaret river crossing though! :p
So funny when you got stuck. I immediately said out loud "put it in 4 wheel drive idiot!" then you go on to make a joke out of your blunder. Good stuff man. Liked and subbed.

Dutch Overlanding thanks mate, glad you like the personal bits behind it, and the mishaps haha. We have plenty of them!
Nice video mate, did any water enter the Patrol via the doors?
Ronny Dahl It sure did Ronny! Not too much though thankfully!
Great vid!
I liked the way it was mind of 'warts 'an all'!
More like a normal trip out than a savage trek!
I shall look for more!
Epic vid mate! Definitely subscribing. A few mates and I did adelaide road last summer around march so it was mostly dry although there was a few mud holes still and we managed to get a Forester through it! The Forester also rescued a GQ! :D

Great video mate, loved the golf that was entertaining.
Man my navara air box is the same. I used really long cable ties to seal it up when I did the Gibb hah.
It's so bad hey! After this we actually got the airbox from an 80 series and retrofitted that! Worked good from then on
@@Alex.G loving the back catalogue guys. I have the yd25 dual battery so cant change it out with the 80s box. So yeah I just seal it right up now

Yo! Love the shot of you checking Instagram before you even got started ;-) Are you shooting with a 4K camera? Looks super crisp!
Mountain State Overland haha, man Instagram is the bomb. As soon as we pop into range off I go :p We aren't shooting 4k no. The better shots come out of a Nikon D750, but a good chunk of it is shot on a Nikon AW110 which is just a waterproof compact cam.

Shoutout 10:20 😂😂😂😂 The Blue Thunder is a much better name.
great video mate
great video lads, thanks
my experience with Dato's it should have eaten that bog hole.and I did notice that your front wheels were not turning
+rolly buegge That's what I thought mate, it barely nudged the mud and came to a halt. Surprised I didn't clue up sooner!
Well done, good video! Finally someone from WA.
Questions for owner of Navara D22, mate i have same car as yours, underneath of your Navara D22 what is that kind of tank is this where should be your spear tyre? .Thanks keep make videos!
Gambe Kapula Thanks buddy! Yeah that's the patrol with the tank at the back, Beau's D22 still has the spare tyre slung up under the wheel :)
Awesome video! does that patrol have any lift?
+marlin gast yeah it's got a 3 inch Old Man Emu kit under it mate
How did you guys survive? That vids so funny. Did ya call Russell Coight?
Keep on bogging. Great entertainment.

Disappointed with the lack of “G’day legends” and “yews”
love that your mate snaps a tree to set his hammock up....

lynley west I was quite surprised how little rubbish there was along the track, aside from a few spots here and there. Good advice.
Yeah we go out and clean up along there , it's getting nice and full of water
Ease up mate.
well done the video mate, what camera's are you filming with?
AllOffroad.com.au a Nikon D750. Nikon AW110, GoPro 3+ and occasionally a Nikon D800 too
that bugling was sensational, you missed your calling you could be in a marching band
+Rolly B Haha, mate I've had a lot of different callings over the years, you never know which way I'll turn next :D
good video & nice trip
+donny gustian cheers mate!
Does the owner of the D22 have a youtube channel?
Great video BTW.
Greetings from Costa Rica.
+OverlandingCR nah he just participates in this one
Do you guys have any thorn bushes or weeds with stickers on them you have to worry about while walking barefooted?
mimixownzall not really, all our prickly stuff exists at waist height really, apart from the odd tree that drops prickly leaves but they aren't too bad. I'm more worried about broken glass in the mud to be honest.

does the d22 have a lift in it?
Nice video!
I love how you guys keep saying 4 degrees is cold! Try -38 Fahrenheit...
4 degrees is cold for us in Western Australia
good quality
good video mate, love your work, bit different to the boring bogan chanels usually online.
and yeh the navara airbox is a stupid design, gotta completely take it off with mine also
We ended up changing it out for an 80 series airbox. There's a few people that've done that and some tutorials online
Where did you get your amount hiking fire stickers?
Some shitty place in India, they were pretty rubbish quality haha
+Intents Offroad ohh damn they're pretty cool
is this just called the Adelaide Track now?
This is actually a Gazetted road. And it's name is Adelaide Road 🙂
@@Alex.G Awesome Cheers for that, I thought it was from what I've seen, planning a video there in the next few weeks with a bit of camping with any luck 🤙🏻
Drivin a Nissan? - Somethin's missin
great video
Love how you Aussies tread around barefoot in the mud! Funny how that wouldn't even be an option here. Well done Alex!

i got a patrol myself and i dont quite understand what the auto hub means? can someone please explain

Cool trip
is your patrol 2.8 ?
+TheAppledog yup, that one was!
What time of the year did you go?
May. Not even at it's wettest then!
was very enjoyable :)
nice video. subbed :)
you guys make gt vids. thanks heaps.
I just went for a 4wd yesterday and it was so much fun this was my 2nd trip because I'm 10
Good stuff mate! What an awesome track hey?
All the gear and no idea.
Keep the car in 4wd at all times in the bush.
Alistair Mcgown I normally do, but I forgot to lock it in when I pulled off the highway and managed to drive all that way until I realised when I got stuck.
haha was funny tho! great video!
I wish i had more friends to do this stuff with! I'm so lonely!
+sirtubemaster plenty of 4wd groups in Australia you could join you fucking spud
+sirtubemaster In Australia, "spud" is an affectionate name for someone....
Much fun :D

Thanks mate! Greatly appreciated!
Nice shirt
Aye, Murphy's law will getcha every time.
COOL AND GOOD
4wd driving without a seat belt on?
It's alright your off the main road, going slow and should be holding onto something then should be all goods
I do throw it on if we're doing higher speed stuff, or hill climbs.
this should be called "nerds go off road" 😂 The chick in the vid is pretty sweet though
Why can't you just enjoy the video. Instead of dribbling over the woman and bringing negativity.
You look well prepared in your flat trainers and jeans.
+colin Menai always mate, the trainers don't even last long, actually neither do the jeans before I'm barefootin it through mud in my undies!
Always stick to the track
You talk about people damaging the environment then post a video of you guys driving over and destroying vegetation next to the bog hole
No idea what you're on about?
I really like diesels. I wish American politics didn't demonize diesel like it does.
mimixownzall is that why you guys don't see much of them? That's really odd because most diesels use far less fuel than their petrol equivalents!
Intents Offroad It has been deemed the evil fuel by the eco maniacs. It probably started with us not jumping on the bandwagon back in WW2. Almost all of our stuff, even tanks, ran on petrol fuel. Guess he's going to buy a snorkel,,,,
+Bob Bob yup, we fitted one the following week!
13 skips boys
Goes off roading, complains about off roading. lol
Poor spuds... ;)
Great video. You hooligans are going to upset the "take this all very serious" purists.
+Mike Swankhouse thanks mate! Yeah I don't know how people can take it so seriously, it's all about having fun and a laugh I think!
👍👍👍
