I know about russian style neighborhoods, and honestly i love it! How you are organized like small communities, all with their own kindergarten, school, playgrounds, market, bakery, pharmacy, electronics store, everything.
Also, my friend from Moscow was just talking to me about Vkusvill the other day! She said it's great for healthy food and vegan options.
She also told me about how you can order everything like you say, and have it delivered at your door. Really convenient if you are not used at going out walking on the snow and ice.

It is beautiful in winter Stephen. I'm moving there next year to be with my wife. I'm getting too old to put up with the hot humid summers where I live in Australia, lol. I like cool/cold weather now, at least you can get warm.

I visited Russia for one month when I was younger. Moscow, S:t Petersburg, and Yoshkar-Ola, beyond the Ural mountains. I loved the Russians, and also the political leadership of Russia. It was August-Sept.1999.
Thanks LIsa. Lovely, long video. When we have snow like this in the UK, the schools are closed in case the children slip over, or get hit by a snowball. When I was a schoolboy we had snowball fights. My childhood didn't do me any harm, I think, but something must have made me hate our leaders and love Russian girls. My teachers must have slipped up somewhere, thank goodness.

When I go to Russia I don't stay in Moscow long. I like Krasnodar best. Almost bought an apartment there. Maybe some day.

They seem to have things well organized. I like the shops under the apartment buildings so people have things close at hand. To be honest I'd rather be there in summer, or perhaps the more southern subtropical parts of Russia. I believe Sorcha is a beautiful place or Crimea on the Black Sea.

Great content, expat american had interviewed you and i hacee seen some of your videos, im not sure if it is because youre in a metropolis, but i noticed there are not too many trucks, id like to see what all wheel drive and 4x4 drivetrains can do in the russian and siberian tundra, these videos remind me of parts of the Pacific Northwest, Russia is a beautiful and interesting place and i think we americans have alot more similarities with our russian counterparts, more than we do with our differences.

Ooh, that is a very tall building! I have not lived in a building more than 2 stories tall and seeing that makes my stomach a bit uneasy. I think I might be afraid of heights, but wow, imagine the view. They are a bit too pricey for my taste, I'd prefer a nice, cozy dacha in an oblast.

Here in Colorado, we are building high-rise buildings downtown. Denver, our capital, has many of these already.
I live about an hour south of Denver.

The croissants and stuff were expensive, even compared to more expensive bakeries here in Western Europe after the big price surge of the last years. Beautiful new buildings and very beautifully filmed and commented.

I like how empty the city is, coming from American perspective where there are just TOO MANY people walking the streets. At least here in Texas things are normally far away so most people drive but that just makes insane traffic levels.
As a Mexican I find the people cold- in Mexico people would be saying "Hello" "Excuse me, I need to pass" and the guy telling you to stop filming would have said " hello to all the viewers on the other side" or " told you to be careful coming through" or simply be camera shy.
Don't ge me wrong I know better than anyone how mean and rude my countrymen can be; but at the same I time I have never met more kind and polite people than my fellow countrymen in Mexico.

I see a lot of elevated roadways. There are probably the metro lines. I worked on the elevated railways in London. They were built from brick arches and were constructed in 1830 or so. Shops and factory units work in the arches. They had a steel one in Liverpool but it has been demolished. Moscow transport system would be interesting. You could do some research perhaps and show maps. There is a modern elevated light railway in east London called the "docklands' like Moscova.
Almost all works fences attract graffiti people. Mostly "artworks" no politics. Flats very expensive.

You could use the word "homes" to refer to either a house or an apartment.

There's a reason so many Soviet era apartment buildings are only five stories high. Any apartment building six stories high or higher required an elevator. So all those five story buildings have no elevator. I can't imagine climbing five stories every time I left my home.

How would you rate these cities in terms of activities, lifestyle, transportation, and entertainment? Also, if you had to choose to live in any city other than Moscow & St Pete which city would you move to?
Kazan. It is mix of Tatar and Russian culture. Very modern city. 3d capital of Russia.
