Very well explained. Came across this topic not too long ago after picking up a Garmin Xero and running the numbers between the SDs I was getting with various ammo and seeing what that did to my MPBR. SDs are a really under rated aspect of shooting, most likely due to the lack of awareness and people trusting the reported SDs printed on the box instead of confirming them for themselves. Great video!
Everyone needs to understand this. You have to be conservative, and your 1/3 of the lethal zone height is good because of another factor: parallax error.
Well, another outstanding video. I was first introduced the MPBR concept at Fort Knox in the Armor Officers Basic Course shooting 105mm sabot rounds at about a mile/second at pretty large targets. If I remember right, our MPBR was 1800 meters.
The muzzleloader guy popping a single roundball would be more realistic as there's no "moa" to calculate😂😂...i miss my one and only shot... goodbye Mr Elk! In all seriousness though, awesome clarification!
The Long Range Shooting community has a subset of people who think their discipline should be applied to hunting-there is a bit of overlap (rifles, scope and fundamentals), but hunting is not sniping animals. And this guy talking about shooting African game at 380 yards sounds ridiculous
Spot on brother. Spot on 👍😎

Makes a ton of sense. Thank you for clarifying the often misunderstood subject of MPBR.

"6 inches is too big" is what my wife assures me of
Yes sir, thanks, that’s why I stopped using max point blank.
Well done, thank you!
