Keep hold of that _giant-ass_ cannon with his puny little arms, keeping it steady and properly aimed at Hades despite being pretty clearly wounded and exhausted, AND avoid the guy's laser beams for long enough to complete the charge. And also actually pull the trigger himself. I'd say that makes for a pretty significant contribution :V
Man, I really hope this either gets an HD port or a sequel. This game is criminally underrated, and the online was actually really good. Too bad it's gone now. Seriously, the Splatoon aiming system is perfect for this. And the Smash 4/Ultimate conversations shows they can still do character portraits and not have them block the action, they just need to be shrinked down a little more or just let you adjust it.

I'm gonna be real, I don't see how people think that Motion control aiming is good. It feels like trash to me. I can't use it at all.

You missed the gag after the end credits. If you stick around after the credits, Hades will make a joke about deleting your save data.
You missed the bonus episode. If you stick around after the Let's Play, there'll be an extras episode featuring extra things that are extra.

Some of my best gaming memories have been with this game. I even turned on my 3DS for the first time in years just to play Uprising Light vs. Dark online before the servers shut down! Here's hoping this franchise gets *something* in less than a decade.
now knowing about the Chaos Kin, Arlon's "Why on earth would I be attacking, I'm far too busy defending" line makes way more sense.
This was a great game, and a fantastic playthrough. Your sense of humor meshes excellently with this, and the text boxes means that you can actually commentate without interrupting any character . Sure, you speak at the same time as them, but like... I can usually read both texts. At worst, I'll have to pause, but that basically never happened. I looked forward to this for years, and it was even better than imagined. And next: the return of Sealed Palace!

Regarding your ending thoughts, one of the big reasons I was looking forward to this was seeing how your own style of humor bounces off of the game’s. Wasn’t disappointed with the results.
14:30 beat Chapter 24 in under 11 minutes to get the Palutena Bow, then take it to the training room (I believe it’s there) for some special dialogue.
Can't say I'm a fan of the final Hades design or the random Medusa for literally no reason (like honestly, I figured Dark Pit would come in or something, but guess he missed the memo until the credits). Gotta say they went all out with the presentation here, pretty impressive for a 3ds game, even if its mostly on rails, can really appreciate the sheer amount of effort that went into every stage. The voicework is amazing, very funny, and I do hope these VA's get another chance at voicing these characters in a proper sequel, I feel like it's a good baseline that could be expanded on well with better controls and more concise level design.

I loved this playthrough! There were only a couple times I had to pause and read, and as always, your commentary never fails to make me smile. Here's to another ending, and another beginning!

Best 3DS game! Is all I can say about Kid Icarus: Uprising, though you missed the part of the end credits where Hades still has some words to give you before he peaces out.
This has been a great series regardless of the limitations of the commentary mentioned in my opinion - looking forward to the extra episode - and I'm glad to have finally experienced this game fully by watching it, I'll definitely play it myself at some point although I hope it won't be on 3DS as I could do without this game's original controls!

8:29 Yeah that bit with Medusa felt *very* tacked on, like they wanted to remind players that Medusa still existed and/or wanted to give Naomi Shindō/Cree Summer more lines. A bit of a shame, really.
Wonder what the next stuff will be. I bet it’ll be Wario Land Virtual Boy and something completely unrelated to Pit (I’d recommend Splatoon 3 Story Mode+DLC, and you can play the online game on streams as well)

There is one detail between different regional versions I do want to discuss. The guardian boss fight in chapter 9. When dark pit kicks it, he does his cool boy pose and with a smug attitude. In japan, he injures himself and uses his hurt sprite.
That's all I think I didn't mention that I wanted to call out. Great playthrough, man. Will there be a bonus video for any content you want to show? Even play a single level at intesity 9 (just chapter 1, not s9kething hard)

I doubt KIU's Hades was inspired by Disney's, but they really are quite similar in both personality and overtly villainous (as opposed to neutral as in Greek mythology) role.
9:40 Well, nothing happens. The game just keeps waiting for you to shoot. Hades's lasers will move faster over time though.
