    thank you Mia. I am caregiver to my spouse with either PD or MSA-P (not sure, can't get help with dx). I try all these things you recommend, but with his brain fog it doesn't stick. life is very bleak and difficult.

      I don't know if you belong to this facebook group "Caregivers' of Parkinson's Disease Support Group" but it has a great bunch of people on it trying to help each other out! I understand what you are saying with having difficulty implementing strategies when the brain isn't listening. If you haven't already, try seeing a physical therapist who specializes in Parkinson's as well as an occupational therapist. I have seen individuals in the past where a number of the sessions was to help equip the caregiver to reduce strain or perhaps offer some ideas you haven't thought of. Thinking of you and all others in your situation.

      @@parkinsonsPT yes, I was for awhile but I was "slammed" by a member who told me I was selfish and should be only thinking about him and not me one day when I commented in a post about the exhaustion and stress of caregiving, so I left the group - gotta love FB!! haha.
