I loved working on my old Farmhouse in Virginia which was over 100 years old. The 76 acre farm we had for 37 years kept us busy too with 3 children, cattle, horses, sheep, dogs, cats and the occasional odd pets the children would bring in. Raising tobacco, corn, hay crops and big gardens. That life has been passed on to another young couple when I sold my farm in 2014 and moved back home to Tennessee
What a lovely job you did to your bathroom. I totally understand about small bathrooms . When my husband found our house it had two bathrooms. You could barely turn around in them . Thank goodness they were back to back, because we took down the wall in-between them and borrowed some of the hall closet. Your bathroom looks so much bigger than it was from the picture you showed us. Love the goats in the tub picture. 🤗💓💕💞
I love how you have embraced your small cabin. You have a beautiful gift of gratitude and blessing your home is so important to you. We take what we are given and honor God with it. have a blessed Shabbat.
Company always motivates me to get things done! I like your bathroom look, it's sweet and yes...we all have to work with what we got sometimes. I am living with a 1968 house in its original everything. I can hardly wait to have new flooring down! This 1968 linoleum has to go! But I have to do a little bit at a time as I get the money. It's more important for me to be out of debt.
You can purchase wall heaters. We bought an ex-Amish home 2 years ago. The loan company required us to put 3 electric heaters in to ensure the pipes don't freeze if we were to be gone in the winter and could not maintain fire in the wood stove. 😊
Shalom and blessings sweet lady. 8:21 You did a beautiful job in your bathroom! The colors coordinate so well and it all looks so fresh and 'homey'. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.
Great job, Constance! A bit less Rustic, and a lot more light-filled. I love the picture of the animals in the bathtub!😊 Praying for your neck. Shabbat shalom. ❤🫂🙂 🦘🦘🦘
What a great refresh you have done in your bathroom. It looks so nice, new and clean. I hope your neck gets to feeling better, very soon Sincerely, Betty Jo X
The bathroom redo looks really good. My favorite color is the Everlasting White. It changes color during the day as the sun comes around the windows. All those angles to paint! That would be a lot of twisting and putting your neck at a strange angle.
I absolutely love that bathroom sis! I am completely with you about the little marks in the mirror, and don't ya just love the cool gadgets from the past like that wonderful heater? The whole room just looks so country cozy... Great job! 🥰☺️
I think the bathroom came out great! It’s so nice! We have a pool house/slash tractor barn and yes we have a wall heater by the bathroom in there. We built that barn 14 years ago so I’m sure you can get another one if your heater stops working.😘❤️🙏🏻✨
So pretty❤ love the look of the fabric curtains. I made a fabric panel to put on a wooden shelf to hide were my cat had distressed the shelf lol. I love how it looks now. It doesn't take much to makeover a few things.
Love it! Yes, you can still get the electric wall heaters. We installed one in our son's bathroom, which is above the garage. He has a mini-split, but the heat doesn't quite warm up the bathroom enough.
What a gorgeous end result!! The color scheme is beautiful and yes, lighter colors seems to open it up making it looking larger. Still diving deeper into Yom Kippur and better understanding ‘afflict’ your being. Shalom💞
I love, love the olive green color, it’s so pretty! You did a wonderful job Sister Constance!❤ Ps. Take care of yourself, the rest of the painting will wait for you to feel better!🙏❤
Everything looks great!!! I have a suggestion, if you haven't painted to trim yet what if you used a stain on it instead to bring in more of the wood elements from the antique mirror, etc. Just an idea!!!
Great job on your bathroom, and I love that shade of green! I'm like you, I love a good project. I just finished giving my kitchen a makeover. I painted my cabinets, walls, ceiling, and hinges and knobs. It's amazing what paint can do. And, I painted my grout with the product you discussed. Well worth the effort, it looks like I replaced all my grout with new! It looks like a completely different house. Thx for bringing us along in your journey, your home looks adorable ❤
I love the colors. It is a very nice upgrade indeed. Hope your neck heals as you worship and rest this weekend. I will be with you online for the Sabbath services at BYI and your scripture reading ❤🙏
It does look farmhouse and it’s beautiful! Love the colors you picked. I have a wall heater in my bathroom too and they still do make small wall heaters. We had to replace ours and we got it at Lowes. I wouldn’t want to do without it. When you live up north where it’s cold it sure does come in handy. 😊
Love it. That’s about the size of a bathroom I grew up with. It too was on the outside wall but we didn’t have a heater in there. We did have a small hot water heater we had to lite when we wanted hot water for a bath.
I love that fabric. So pretty! We’ll be doing a major, to-the-studs reno on our hall bath (my daughter’s bathroom) in the near future, and I’ve been scouring Pinterest for bath ideas, so this was timely.
Constamce, you nailed it! The bathroom really does look cute!🚽 🧻😍✔️I got a kick out of the wall paint color names 🎨 Dove white, French vanilla, Swiss coffee, Forest green, Slate blue, Gladiator grey, Olive green. The Bronze Hammered spray paint 4da Heater 🔥frame. I'm sold! 😅
Constance, the reno looks very nice! Love all the creative ways you remedied the issues, fabric was an excellent choice! Rest up, and giver some next week! Love this season to redo!
Love the updated bathroom. You have such a great sense of decorating. What's the name of the grout stuff that you're talking about? I had no idea it existed but is something I want to check out. A couple of things to try for your neck.........arnicare gel by Boiron, not the cream, the gel soaks in, the cream never does......I swear by this stuff for my neck. Another thing is a one piece sweater material piece that you can double and you wear it around your neck (as in w/ a coat when going outside). I use mine in the house quite frequently. Even though I'm very hot natured, being able to keep the "heat" on my neck does help. But then again, the headpiece you're wearing should hold in the warmth. Sometimes I use one or the other and sometimes both. I have some type of inflammation in the spine area of the neck and when I can't rest on a heating pad, they really do help.
It's called "Grout Renew" - I got it at Home Depot, but I am sure you could find it other places. www.homedepot.com/p/Custom-Building-Products-Polyblend-165-Delorean-Gray-8-oz-Grout-Renew-Colorant-GCL165HPT/100025275

Your bathroom is wonderful. Even the green fixtures. Repentance, fasting and prayer for a time such as we are in. God bless you, sister.
So right about the mirror, it looks great. The rubbed spots make it look even older. Beautiful job with the fabric too.

Very Cute! I love the color green you chose and love the character of your small bathroom.
It turned out so well, what a difference! 💕 Love the colors and the print on the curtains.
Looks good. There is an electric wall heater at my parents’ house. It has been there since 1970 and still works.
Great job, Constance! A bit less Rustic, and a lot more light-filled. I love the picture of the animals in the bathtub!😊 Praying for your neck. Shabbat shalom. ❤🫂🙂 🦘🦘🦘

Nice job! Love the barn picture. I’m a woodsy, even the original bath would not have scared me. Lol

I love, love the olive green color, it’s so pretty!
You did a wonderful job Sister Constance!❤
Ps. Take care of yourself, the rest of the painting will wait for you to feel better!🙏❤
It looks crisp and clean. Paint really makes a difference when the home has paneled walls. Good for you! By the way, the curtain fabric is lovely.

Yes it does!
Looks great Constance! You did a great job! ❤🙏❤
Looks so fresh and cozy! You did a great job😊
I have an antique beveled mirror in my bathroom that had a small crack at the bottom so I painted an ivy vine using the crack.
What a neat idea!
