- So it’s, finally here! A very highly requested video since Vlog #03. This vlog covers only Journal Binding and the supplies I use. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to film it but things have been so busy before everything that is happening now. And I knew it was going to be an extensive video and I needed to cover as much as I could in one video. So I wanted to take my time with it to truly make it enjoyable for you to watch. I love the grabbing supplies pov shots, although this whole video is so !!! Very calming, and I appreciate the slow shots where we hear the paper cutting and other small sounds around the studio

As someone who makes her own journals I think that imperfections in a journal make it more authentic, beautiful. Who cares if the pages are not perfectly simmetric? That's the beauty of handmade things.

I love your work Shereena! You put so much time and effort into all you do. The money you must've spent on your equipment and supplies! If you do a 200% markup on a journal that still wouldn't be enough! Also you've taken the time to film and edit this beautiful video, it shows all of your hard work and quality control you put into making your journals. I love what you said at the beginning about how you make the materials work for you and that the viewer doesn't necessarily need the same exact things. And love all your furry little helpers!
Oh yes I know and that's why I've been increasing them slowly as the profit I make from them is quite little 🙈but they are what started my love for handmade paper. ❤️and yes I had to mention that because on my last video lot's of people were asking and wanting to buy the equipment but some I won't recommend. I feel just because I use it doesn't mean its the best but its what I have right now on hand so I really had to make a note of that 😂and also you don't need everything I have to make yours. I just like finding things to simplify my process and help me get them done quicker ❤️

That is a good one if you like the rounded corners. There are definitely things I want to invest in next but I'm not quite sure how they would work with journals 😂but it's for sure a never-ending process. 🙈❤️

omg I feel you and have basically wasted quite a few journals because of stapling wrongly. Since I started sewing, thankfully none were wasted since 😊

I’m super amused that the scraps from handmade paper go into a bin to get turned into more handmade paper. It’s like sourdough for office supplies.
They really make the most beautiful handmade papers. I find the better your scraps the better the results are ❤️

I am sure you can start making them and by starting you will see what you need. I did get my tools sort of one by one. I'd make them and see what I need to get to improve and go on from there. Well it's mainly because of these journals I think that there's a lot of details but the other journals I do are much less time consuming and I am able to skip a few steps. And no not these ones but I'm hoping to get my handmade paper good enough to use in my journals ❤️

Ah yes you are quite right. But for some reason, I had trouble using it as I was using wing nuts in the beginning. I just find it easier with bolts. 😊❤️
