Hello pearfleur! I wanted to share a tip - generally, on the back piece of cutters, the one you remove to change the blade, there is a slit. It's so that you don't have to use your finger to snap off the smblade section! It's more safe that way 🌻
This video showed me my way to calmness. I'm serious, I'm a perfectionist so even when I draw or paint for fun it has to be perfect (and it obviously is not because no-one is born with those skills). I think too much about the process and the outcome and I stress even more. But this video showed me that I can have a hobby that won't stress me out. And today I made my first sketchbook. I plan to make one for each of my friends. I love this. Thank you PearFleur 💗
Your studio space is fascinating and I love the way you make your own sketchbooks. I sometimes do that too and there is an immense satisfaction in painting in one as such.

Such a beautiful video! I love how the sketchbook came out and I especially like the paper you chose for the covers :) I have a little tip for you, which I picked up from my bookbinding teacher in school: rather than scoring your paper with a blade to get it to fold properly, use an embroidery needle, the back of a butterknife or a letter opener. Something that is not sharp or pointy and won't cut the paper, but rather press it down. This way, your paper has less risk of tearing when you are pulling the thread tight :)
Does anyone else have decent talent in drawing but absolutely terrible skills with hands like me? Even cutting papers in equal halves is so difficult. You go girl!
The vídeo is very well produced, even with not the purpose of being a tutorial, we can see clearly every step of the process, and for that being, we can learn from this video. Also, the music and the lighting give a very relaxing vibe.
