- Hello friends. I’m sorry for skipping last weeks upload but I hope this longer video makes up for it. I know its a bit messy and all over the place but really that’s how I work. It’s been shot on a few days over a span of a few weeks. Not even sure at this point exactly how long. Honestly, I should have wrote down some notes on the day of the week but I forgot to 😂 I will probably do that next time I film this sort of weekly studio vlog. I hope you enjoy seeing more behind the scenes of how I make my products. Oh and yes my shop is live ❤️

I have always wanted to make paper, journals, and notebooks by hand. Seeing this inspired me so much. I love the care put into creating. It looks incredible!

Amazing! Watching this is very therapeutic, you are such a creative person. The ASMR when using your paper cutter made my day...I repeated it so often ha ha ha. Definitely will rewatch this video and archive it for the ASMR in your whole process. Tapping the papers to make it straight...flipping the pages when assembling it...scoring the cover...so on and so forth. Amazing! Love from the 🇵🇭

It felt so good to know that someone is achieving one of my big dreams. I'm a Chilean living in Brazil. And it is so difficult to start a project like this in an inland area (Redenção Pará). There are no necessary tools, but I am glad to see that someone is doing this work, I have already seen 10 videos in a row from this channel and I feel an immense joy of how you record each process. As much as I think 'I-can-do-all-that-by hand' after spending an afternoon cutting up all my wrapping paper rolls into letter paper size, I was sooooo over it (And I just haad to buy 8 lots of 10mtr rolls 🙄) that one lesson really humbled me 😆. Thank you for your posting this video, it calmed me down and has got my creative juices flowing again *side-eyes the wrapping paper*. back when i was a child, i have always attempted making notebooks. it's great to see the actual process now. and the tools used that i haven't seen before
Oh this is only a small production I guess and very personal to your own needs. Lots of things may not be necessary to others and depends on I guess what type of notebooks you want to make 😊

Thank you Merissa. And trust me I used to use a blade to cut when I first started and it was the most stressful thing ever. I had to hold my breathe the whole time and just pray I don't mess up 😂Getting this cutter has made my life so much easier 🙈 So glad you enjoyed it ! ❤️
What is the name of this cutter? Using just blades really stress me out too. Trying to make junk journal for own usage with so much stress really puts me off.
@@shirley7550 They are called stack cutters. Mine isn't branded and got it on Amazon UAE. You will be able to find lots of other brands on any Amazon really. Good luck and hope this can relieve lots of stress. 😊❤️
Yes would love a list of your book making equipment. The large paper cutters and the wooden v board you used to punch holes. Not sure what that is called, but would love to know where you got that. Beautiful papers!
The wooden hole punch is an Awl Guide Punching Cradle, likely from a store called Talas, $70 USD. The paper cutters are, I think, stack cutters used primarily to cut larger amounts of paper at once--also on Amazon, but kind of expensive.

Shereena, all those beautiful work you’ve made are amazing!!! Love all the machines you are using, they are so helpful, I still remember how I ruined the journal by cutting the edges wrongly lol

I've used that stapler a long time ago and had a similar problem. I think I clipped my journal to the bed of the machine so that it couldn't move whilst I used both hands to activate the stapler. I think that your book is moving when you press the stapler. The first staple you did much slower and more carefully. The second staple you quickly stapled and that's why it went crooked. ❤🌅🌵
The issue with this stapler is that it's not meant for larger quantities of papers but rather thin booklets. I sort of cheated and used heavy-duty staples in it from another brand. and the covers I use are quite thick so if I go a little faster it usually helps for it to go right through and also applying a large force. With these journals, it wasn't too bad but I struggled so much with the cotton rag papers I had 😂Luckily I don't have to staple anymore and never waste any journals by sewing them now. ❤️

Hahaha each paper cutter has a different function and when making lots and lost of journals it helps to have the right tools. But I am so happy you are doing more of them. They are fun to make right? ❤️

The red one is the Ideal Kutrimmer 1038 Paper Trimmer from amazon and to be honest I am having trouble with it lately. It's not so accurate so I am using another one more and I highly recommend it. It's the CARL Heavy Duty Rotary Paper Trimmer. The larger one is a stack cutter but it came unbranded and I did order them locally but you can find them on Amazon. Just search for stack cutters. But the stack cutters you cannot cut single sheets so it only has one use and thats to cut large amounts of paper. I hope that helps. I will probably film a video of all the supplies I use for bookbinding. ❤️
