Thank you Maurice for providing those grieving with words of wisdom from experience. July 16, 2023 will be 5 months since my precious husband suddenly died on me.
As we can all attest to from the comments of those grieving, the journey of grieving is a hellish, agonizing experience. No one can rush this process.
To those newly grieving, yes, it is a very hard journey, but please allow yourself to fully grief. Do not block it out. I have been doing this and listened to one happy widow. When will the grief stop. Her videos are excellent. Keep listening to as many of these helpful blogs and time will help.
Im still very sad over my husband death, but i dont feel that i am in constantly agony anymore. I have a ways to go but i feel that i eventually will come to a calm acceptance of my loss.
I believe this is due to my allowing myself to grieve fully the loss of my husband and not try and block it out.
    God bless and take care.

Lost my beloved husband of 60 years 2 years ago. After he passed I was completely broken but somehow my faith came through all the pain and I believe God picked me up and put me back together and reminded me ,with memories, of how we loved each other. So whenever I hurt the most a memory will come to me in which I will either laugh at the silly things we did or feel the love again. And I realize how fortunate we were! Till we are together again my beloved Pete

Lost my dear wife of 53 years 2 months ago. My faith is keeping me going, but it is really hard day by day. Hope I can someday say the things you did. I hope and pray, we are together soon. Take care.

My husband, my soul mate, my best friend, passed away Aug. 1, 2011 after a 21 month battle with cancer. We worked together, prayed together, played and stayed together. We always said that it was wonderful how we knew each other so very well, so that when the youngest was going off to college, we were looking forward to our time. Our time was not to be. I am now trying to figure out my time. Thank you for posting this, I am heading out to purchase your book. I definitely need help.

Stephanie Reymann Hello Stephanie, I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer after 21 months battling the disease. I was told I would have him for another good 25 years after his surgery, but I only had him for 12 months. Please tell me how you are today, how do you cope?

Hi Cheryl, Sorry about your loss. Losing your spouse is a big one, it feels like part of you died with them. I've heard people say exactly what you are feeling here. It seems almost impossible to conceive that you can go on without them. When you're ready to consider getting some help with your grief look for a grief support group in your area. Your phone book, family doctor, and/or friends may help you with this. Support groups like this help you appreciate that you're not alone on this journey.
