time out hoss. i have the same saw with the 16 inch bar. do not drop start it! it has an easy start recoil starter. place the saw on the ground, choke it, and run your foot into the handle. pull up slowly on the starter. when you feel resistance then give it a yank. mine took 11 pulls the 1st time to start it. once it pops, close the choke. then pull again. it should start in 1-2 pulls after the pop. do not use that outboard oil in a saw. its not ment or made for the saws heat range. a chainsaw runs hot, alot hotter than a water cooled outboard. get yourself a good OPE 2 cycle oil. Echo, VP, Amsoil Sabre,lucas semi synthetic (but not land and sea) Opti 2, us-2,Pro Select, super tech synthetic 2 cycle, or any 2 cycle oil that says it contains fuel stabilizers. 1st few tanks mix 25:1 after that, using one of the oils above, mix 40 or 50 : 1.
Mr SG i like the echo red armour , keeps em oiling and totally Carbon free and running like new and gives dramatic running improvement to engines thats used other oils for extended periods by decarbonising
I'm considering the same saw and found this video from your review on Amazon. Thanks for the review and your video. Many of the Chinese saws on Amazon appear to be the same, just labeled/painted different; DEREAL, Salem Master, WEMAR, etc. What made you select the DEREAL? Also, noticed your hat -- we might be neighbors as I'm in West Valley.

First time I ever seen one of those! Then again I don't usually buy one unless its pushing 40 years old LOL!
Outboard oil is not the same. It's TCW-3 rated which is for water cooled 2 strokes. Air cooled run hotter.
Okay thanks

I read the reviews and decided this was the best price for the size. I'm from East Wenatchee
the dereal 5820g/6220g has a paper air filter. some of the other chinese saws like the wemar 5820g has a plastic cartridge.
@Maddog worker I actually cut most of the wood with a 16" electric chainsaw I just bought the gas one to cut the bigger stuff
@Maddog worker good so far
@Maddog worker I'm not sure without looking at it but maybe you just need to extend the bar out more
Is that saw really left handed or is it a video trick ?
Never mind I see it's a video trick now.
That right there is why I will always buy a Husky or Stihl. Four pulls max on a cold engine, one pull on a warm engine.
YOU CAN NOT USE 2 CYCLE OIL FOR A BOAT ENGINE IN AN AIR COOLED 2 CYCLES ENGINE!!!!
GOOGLE IT ... THE OIL MUST BE ASHLESS!!!
