I used to eat that freshwater clam when i was a kid, my mom stir fry em or make a soup, it got very strong and rich savory flavor. She was said this clam is good for your liver health problem.
So I’ve been claming for years bro, easiest way to do it is get a crawfish trap that has decent holes & just sift the sand, drag it through the sand……..also get kiddy pools to purge your clams give them enough room to filter feed at least 24hrs you can have them eat phytoplankton
@@lars_outside no problem, same goes for any crawfish you plan on boiling, don’t purge with salt it harms them more than it would help, kiddy pool with a mesh over it so they don’t escape, some clean food like shrimp or fish & boom 24hrs they should have passed any junk from the river or stream then just wash them
