- This video is to put you in the mindset of the release for TranZit, and what it was like to experience it. I've always had a special place in my heart for TranZit. And I wanted to put all of those thoughts and feelings together in one video. This is also an example of how much more I can do in terms of editing and footage when i have access to theater mode.

Man the thing i love about your channel is that you dont seem to jump on the hate train most youtubers do. You actually analyse and observe even the most hated pieces of zombie media like aw,ww2, and other unpopular maps
Its god to see another player who loves all zombies modes but still recognize their qualities and not so good parts
All the Zombie YTers like MRT , NoahJ and Mr roflwaffles love to circle jerk each other with bad take after bad take
Honestly the broken earth arc should have lasted longer , we should have gotten 10 more maps set in different locations around the world :/
Imagine a White House cod zombies map
Tranzit and die rise were bad but the setting and atmosphere were cool, they could have done so much more with the world they had built, survivor camps, cures, other locations, they fumbled the bag hard
yes! the idea of the planet having been destroyed and taken over by the undead is so interesting and there are so many stories that could have been told from it
I wished Ultimis w/ Samantha had a map during broken earth. It would have been cool if they did Maxis side and Victis did Richtofen side.
We needed this. It should've lasted longer.
The fact that was beta Tranzit round change music and went unused is crazy its so creepy sounding
You'd be utterly flabbergasted if you just knew how much cut content Tranzit has. Awhile back I found a beta dump of the game and as I went through the map scripts, it made me go crazy with what ifs.
Its called the Dies Irae and has been featured in so many different pieces of art as a representation for death. The most popular of which being its use in The Shining
Tranzit may not be the best map. But it is the most iconic map.
If you don’t believe me look up love song for a dead man and see how many remixes pop up
To me Tranzit is always gonna be a one my favorite maps mostly because it was the only map I could play since I didn’t own a console at the time so instead I used my cousins 😅I still remember getting from school to play some tranzit 😎.
The SmithPlays reference was godly 😂 awesome vid, almost made me drop a tear 🥲
WERE THEY HUFFING PAINT THINNER!? 😂
TranZit is set on Atlantis
Classic Jason rewriting Zielinsky's story. Next you'll say the black painting in kino is actually primis Nikolai... Oh wait
Few.
They eventually patched after a few weeks, but players could go into cod theater mode and speed up and slow down the zombie sounds to make them sound like normal people. It also removed the fog too for some reason
You said it yourself, people wanted an unforgettable experience with memories. When TranZit came out, people were mad and wanted a map with said unforgettable experience with memories, but it wasn't until later we found out that TranZit was ironically the map that gave us that experience.
Love seeing your vids every Saturday morning. Great watch as always 🙌
As a tranzit enjoyer, I liked your video man what a great points you mentioned, the amount of great memories we have are countless ❤
I always loved Tranzit. Been a fan for my whole life even when I was younger and never even understood how power worked 😂 but I still love it, love the vibe, love high rounds, and wonder weapon requires skill
Tranzit is the only map I give its own tier, it's so bad yet so good, it's hard to explain but I'll say this people may say tranzit is the worst map but I would much rather play tranzit with the boys then play outbreak, mw3 zombies or exo zombies because tranzit has fun chaos and different ways of playing, you can do what me and my friends call the bus stop challenge where wherever the bus stops at you stay there until the bus leaves, we stay on the bus at times, it was crazy chaotic fun and I love it also tranzit has both my favorite and least favorite easter egg song, carrion is my all time favorite and Imma try it out is my least favorite lol also Stuhlinger is mad underrated, he's my favorite victis member and is top 5 imo
Bro this was a very well constructed video and you brought up so many memories. I usually never comment and almost never like a video but you get both. I remember the rumours of what zombies would be. I remember the concept of a ‘campaign zombies’ mode. I remember it was all me and my friends could talk about while we played (and had fun) on MW3. I remember watching all of the UA-cam video breakdowns of the trailer. I remember waiting in line. I remember rushing home, playing the video game I had been curious about for years. I remember putting so many hours into it, watching the countless UA-cam videos of Easter eggs and tutorials on the map, the tips and tricks. I still think that all of this anticipation and excitement and study is what made the map for me. But I think all of these factors romanticised the map for me, if they had released the most dog shit map, I would have felt the same I think. Reflecting now, I didn’t love the map I love what the did for my teenage years.
So many memories and so much happened because of the mystery, and intrigue about zombies. Something that's clearly lacking nowadays.
The time Tranzit was out it was the best time to be a zombies fan because the community was so active and into the game. Even if the main map wasn't "good" the interest was clearly there. 🥲
@@CJSanta couldn’t agree more, and you’re right, it couldn’t be replicated today
I LOVE how you perfectly instilled the forgotten classic zombies feeling at the beginning then snapped us back to reality, those were some crazy emotions lmao
This truly is why we love Tranzit
Dude, I freaking loved this video. TranZit is my favourite Zombies map of all time and I've often had a hard time articulating what it is about TranZit I love and what Blundell's maps going forward just lacked, this video (especially the Atmosphere section) put into words what it is I've always tried to explain why I love TranZit. Nuketown, Die Rise, and Buried all had this really creepy atmosphere which I think all Zombies maps should have but unfortunately that atmosphere in Black Ops III Zombies and especially Black Ops IIII Zombies was nonexistent. MOTD and Origins were the only Blundell maps that actually still had that creepy atmosphere. Whilst I love TranZit, I agree with everything you said in your section about the maps drawbacks, the gameplay experience was pretty bad with the Denizens, PAP, only carrying one part/buildable, Jet Gun, etc...
I really hope that whatever COD 2025 is, that we get a reimagining of TranZit that contains most if not all cut features of the original as well as 'Bus Route B', taking advantage of the newest hardware we have now. If Treyarch did that, they could be onto something.
@jackfreedman I always had so many thoughts about zombies and with this channel I just wanted to get them all out there 😃
You see I got into the zombies scene fairly late, and all of those fond memories you have of Tranzit I also had but for bo2 Origins. It was early bo3s lifecycle and it was summer time at the Boys and girls club. Both of my parents worked so my summers were mostly spent at the boys and girls club, and one day my friend brought his ps3 with the bo2 season pass on it. We played Town and Nuketown, and then he looked over at me with a smile and said "you wanna play something a bit more challenging?" And so I agreed. He backed out and went to the map select and clicked on the robot head. I was not ready for what was about to happen. The cutscene played and hearing Sammatha introducing the map was strange, wasnt she stranded on the moon? Anyway the zombie outbreak came and we were introduced to Primis. At the Boys and girls club all that the club had for everyone to play was bo1 zombies, so I was very familiar with kino der toten and the ultimus crew, but so seeing new versions of these characters was interesting. But as the cutscene ended and the robots foot lifted from the spawn room, chaos began. As I was gathering my surroundings, my friend had already started the generator and flipped the knob for the electric staff. I downed on round one because I didn't see the Templar zombies coming. I remember finally getting out of the spawn room and seeing the chaotic sky of ww1, and the 3 giant robots march across the trenches as the song "Mama" by My Chemical Romance played in my earbud. The atmosphere was top tier! I went down so many times because my shithead friend didn't tell me how to play this map, so I was barely surviving with the ballista he told me to buy because I overlooked the m14 in spawn (yes, my friend is a troll and yes he loves using the emp's everytime I hit the box.) I remember playing Origins for the first time and thinking "this map is so fucking hard and im getting absolutely destroyed" and loving every single second of it. I became obsessed, I had to master this map and see everything it had to offer. At the end of that summer, I went from the biggest noob of all time to building all of the staffs and completing the first step of the easter egg. Eventually I got my own copy of bo2 and Origins, and practiced and attempted hundreds of times, but it was all worth it when I finally completed the Origins easter egg by myself, and even though I have better achievements in gaming, completing the Origins easter egg will always be my favorite.
Very valid points and well said! Great video man🫡
amazing video. keep up the good work
When I found out people hated TranZit so much, I was honestly surprised. I got a lot of great memories on TranZit with the boys. It's a great map.
Just people blindly following the bigger youtubers.
green run makes me happy and it is heartwrenching that the community considers it a bad couple of maps (also been playing bo2 since I was three years old! )
My first cod zombies experience. After left 4 dead, this game just took over my gaming and got me into the series. BO2 was just so grand and impactful. All the casual modes really helped to keep the community going. The bus, though slow, is still one of the most badass ways to get around a map. The size of tranzit i think makes zombies feel like it has a world to build and explore. Even though people say BO3 was peak zombies, thats mostly for the group of friend creators. But for zombies as a community and the game mode and even the devs, black ops 2 is the peak!
Refreshing to hear a unique take on this map. I am nostalgic towards Ghosts because of the time period it came out in, even though I recognize that it is far from the best COD game. It was there when I was, and I had some good times around it, which can also be said towards TranZit.
Great video, TranZit is very overhated these days, but i'm glad a lot of people still enjoy it.
I’m so happy this game came out in 2012 and not now. Now we would get a marketing video with Kevin Drew explaining that it wasn’t Samantha on the poster and going on to explain everything about the story before the map released.
I’m invested in your videos
Glad to hear it 😁
Hope I can provide the entertainment 👌
My gamertag has been tranzit 2 for years. Now that tranzit is being remastered im waiting for tranzit 3
Awesome story telling CJ you cooked with this vid❤
Thanks so much 😊
Just wanted to put you in the head space of what it was like all those years ago
@@CJSanta yeah that is what me got immersed in the video even more, you should do this kinda style about more maps! 🫶🏼
I just got bo2 on steam and plutonium so I’m definitely gonna check out this map and see if I hate it less. That fog is getting disabled so fast
If ted drives over your buildable part it breaks for the rest of your match btw. It just is nowhere to be found again and you've lost your opportunity to add it to a table
🤣
In my opinion tranzit is the best map followed by Nacht, DER reise, kino five and moon. Usually the launch maps and final dlcs are the best anatomically
Love Song for a Deadman will be played at both my Wedding and my Funeral.
Imma be honest Tranzit is the only zombie map I wouldn’t be angry at getting a remake, so much cut content and ideas. It’s often considered the worst Treyarch map made so honestly there would be nothing but improvements
Love tranzit, I will always be an enthusiast lmao. I love the atmosphere, one of - if not - the scariest map in the series. I love how you can troll your friends with the power and emp. I remember the first time playing. It was so spooky. Those denizens scared the shit outta me. The atmosphere goddamn scary. I WANT a remake to give it the redemption arc it deserves. The memories I made with my friends will always stay with me. That's what made me love tranzit.
Also, it's a tough map that can really test you. There is definitely a skill gap, big part is learning how to traverse without the bus. Once you learn how to run through the fog more efficiently and how to knife the denizens right in time before they grip on your head, you can really increase the pace of the game. My biggest tip: run through the fog holding the turbine. You knife and run faster, making denizens easier to handle. Also, normal knife will take two before the grapple so make sure you do it twice with that one. Obviously prioritize the bowie/galvas, but until then, the normal knife will do.
The amount of cut content on this map is astonishing. It could've made this good map better
BO2 zombies will forever be my favorite ❤️
My favorite zombies weapon is the marshal 16's on zetsubou.
I still get on my ps3 n play online yessirrr
Hell yea dude I love tranzit
I feel like majority is a stretch. It's certainly a vocal online minority that hated tranzit and i wouldn't be suprised if it stemmed from people that just needed to git gud. Now looking back at it 12 years later, it was a masterpiece of a map with its ambition and atmosphere
Honestly agreed people nowadays like the more "challenging" stuff like origins or all of black ops 3 maps but like tranzit has a lot of that same complex stuff i really never understood why people are all over that but tranzit is given the middle finger sure it has flaws but so does every other map.
Goat map
Can you please make a video about roblox call of duty zombies games?
Isn’t Alpha Omega Bus Route B?
Man I remember when this game launched and everyone was so hyped for zombies then we played it and was like 😟🙁😟🫤😕🙁☹️🧐
hahahah
Also I remember when I started liking this map,die rise n buried lol..
It's like 3 months after bo4 dropped
I kinda lost all hope and just went back to the older games and it made me appreciate tf outta that game fr fr tranzit n die rise are good ahh maps well maybe not tranzit but it's fun forsure and I don't know why I never liked buried I guess it felt like a small map compared to mob but it was the best map outta the 3 for sure
We love tranzit
I would play tranzit so much more if the PAP wasn’t so tedious
This was and might still be the most overhated map of all time, I always loved the map and only discovered how hated the map was years later bc I wasn't into the zombies community when the game launched.
It’s a good map
oooh lemme grab my popcorn
Who's WE?
🫵🙂👈
@@CJSanta damn
Also I subbed to the homie Henry Myth
tranzit is pretty fun if you're human, though I heard sheep don't like it
😂
Tranzit is such an anomaly of a map, a poorly made disaster of a map in almost every way, a map that in development had so much potential that was completely striped away from it, and yet despite its complete flop, it still remains one of the most iconic, loved, hated and memed map to ever exist
And even with its disaster there was still lots to respect about it
2:45 That not a olympia thats random repeater.
Yet despite how in depth people looked into this map the majority is still completely oblivious to how the turbine actually works claiming that its just "random" instead of realizing theres a literal in game health indicator. Honestly it's the first domino in the chain that leads to the unnecessary hatred towards this map.
Tranzit is like ZNS in the sense that both maps are generally overhated due to the fact the majority don't understand and couldn't be bothered to learn a specific mechanic that appears on that map (turbine & plant mechanics) The youtuber guides of old are also all full of misinformation regarding the turbine leading to even more hatred as most continue to play in this unoptimized state without questioning, basically shooting themselves in the foot and blaming bad game design.
For me, I've played the map to know where I am in the Fog at all times. It's really not hard to know where you're going because every section of the fog has a different color tint to it.
Apparently that's too hard for the thick skulled twitter/reddit comments that come up whenever tranzit is discussed. A map like origins is super optimized with strats that most players know meanwhile with tranzit most players are oblivious and unwilling to learn
@@TheLucarioProject I'm thinking about making a video talking about all the little tech there is on tranzit
I've wanted to make a sort of "ultimate guide" to tranzit as the amount of misinformation surrounding this map is crazy. The more and more time that goes on I really keep hating the current parody video I did on the subject years ago and have wanted to do a more serious take on it.
@TheLucarioProject funny enough I saw that video like 2 days ago, I think a comprehensive "noob friendly" guide to Tranzit would be fun
Say what you will but CoD Ghosts was awesome. I feel like a lot of the "bad" games and maps were just a matter of negative recency bias. I think there's very little genuinely bad content out there, so I encourage everyone to enjoy what you enjoy and try to not let the negativity destroy your tastes.
I played ghosts from launch until AW released. I think it has the best dlc map content we've ever gotten
Do we?
🙂↕️ you must not be a part of "our" club
Tranzit is good, and im tired of people claiming it isnt
Bcoz its fucking good that's why
Tranzit is the epitome of an atmospheric masterpiece, but a gameplay disasterpiece.
Who is “we” ?
Those of us who get it.
@@CJSantareal
I didn’t like TranZit in my play throughs although I agree with what you said in the video.
Tranzit
At Launch: Holy shit, Apocalyptic Map! Can't wait to play this.
After Launch: This is the worst map in Zombie history.
Tranzit is to me a good bad map
We?
Qui~
Guess I’m second
I don’t like it but it was fun back in the hay day when pubs with randoms was the thing
This map was the best disaster ever made
George Clooney
we? There is no we.
Who tf is oui? You must be speaking French.
Oh come on, deep down I know you love stopping at the diner for a lil snack 👀
@CJSanta Nope, once I bought the DLC maps, it was Town, Town, or Town.
Trans' Zit/Sheit? Nah, I never liked Nixaru
Guess I’m first
i hated tranzit tbh
You’re not welcome here
Edit: this is a joke and not to be taken seriously
Real hot take
Ok
Hated , by still fun than most of modern zombies
Speak for yourself.
This map is straight up garbage.
You might have missed the point of the video.
The reasoning is that the map is bad, but it has sentimental reasons for being so popular.
"This map is straight up garbage" Maybe to you, But alot of people actually have fun on the map. Me included
I don’t know why UA-cam deleted my comment but are you able to send a link to Henry’s account so we can sub to him
Yeah. UA-cam auto deletes links. Don't know why, just type in his name @HenryMyth
But he doesn't really upload anything. We're both working on a video for this channel though 👀
@@CJSanta thanks man
do you have a discord
I know you love wonder weapon statistics, so I definitely recommend @Staminabs, he has ranked all wonder weapons based on how effective they are on highrounds
His rankings are purely based on math, no favoritism
