TLDR. The parts availible at the main hub cities are not complete lists. If you are looking to build just from a specific manufacturer, head to their shipyard, they will have access to parts that cannot be found elsewhere. Sadly nova galactic is no longer in operation, but you can get most of their stuff in new Atlantis from what I can tell.
It is far easier to get Shielded cargo from Red Mile! *possible minor spoilers* Joining the Crimson Fleet is fine. But you will need to kill many of them during the main story and it is absolutely not worth the Bounty. So if you want to join them, join them later through the main story. In this case, go to Red Mile for shielded cargo if you're early in the main quest. You can also sell stolen goods and contraban there to the bartender, so everyone wins. I'll watch it again (3rd time) but I seem to have missed on how you start a new ship from scratch. When I talk to the agent - I get View/Modify and within that I get Build but it always starts with my current (only) ship.
From what I've found since playing for the last 2 days, you can't just build a ship from 'scratch'. Trick I found with the starter ship, go into the build menu then just delete everything. You'll then be able to build a new ship. That's the closest I have got to having a blank canvas
Do you think you could make a video showing all possible hab interiors and also cockpits if they look different? Ik its hundreds of possibilities but I want to see all different Captians quarters. 😭
I always end up with something that looks like a mix of a coastal patrol vessel and one of the light frigates from Halo. I guess it makes sense since the pirate hunting and hostage rescue missions are basically the space equivalent of what the Coast Guard does. Similar designs for similar purposes.
My dude you recruited Omar 👍 I almost let him go cause he made me feel bad that he left his wife behind but then you find out it's all good best mechanic so far
If you're within 250m from your ship you can remotely deposit/retrieve loot via the ship menu and pressing the cargo hold button. Sometimes you get lucky with the ship placement that you can still remotely deposit loot while in a nearby dungeon.
Remember people, Turrets are your rear engines best friend. One on each side and one on the rear will keep enemies in pursuit occupied while you focus your main guns on your forward targets.
If you board and take over a ship, do you replace your old ship, make a fleet or what, does it require a companion to fly it, is it just put in an "inventory" or do you need to send it to somewhere?
how do i build my spaceship like yours from 09:20 and forward in the video🤔🤔🤔🙂? could you pls do a slow tutorial video, on how you builded this ship and explain wich ship parts you used and where to find them to build this ship🤔🤔🤔🙂?
My method has been to “Ship of Theseus” the Mantis ship. I’ve managed to rearrange the engines and landing gear to allow me to have a ship that is three bays wide and two 2x1 bays long with the cockpit in the front On the back left I have living quarters, with the all in one on the bottom, crew quarters in the middle and captain’s quarters on top. In the back right I have an armory, the workshop and a science lab. The middle section is a single level with engineering and then in front you have the control deck and then the cockpit. Add in some cosmetics to make everything less boxy and you get what I think looks like a pretty badass ship. Perfect for my space pirate/smuggler. (Example: on the front of the top hab spaces on the left and right, I added one of the “awning” type of module that hangs over the empty space and under those I have two cargo bins. Between those and the way I have the engines splayed out, it keeps the cargo from looking just tacked onto the side of the ship) I tried no ladders and I was able to do it and my ship looked cool enough, but I found it limiting for having all the crafting stations and living space I wanted for my crew. The didn’t want people sleeping in my bed I’m over 70 hours in and haven’t really touched the main quest. This is a truly great game.
Anyone remember the helghast cruisers from killzone? They had a badass design. That’s what I’ll be going for when I build my first character who’ll be a pirate warlord.
Can you do an in depth ship weapons review. I'm struggling trying to figure out what to run. There's too many options and everything just thrown into the list all out of order and I'm hating trying to compare stats by scrolling 40 spaces up and back to the other weapons to compare to one another.
I already have a day in this game and ended up making…damn, you know that “shieldbreaker” ship that the technician sells in atlantis? I made that but upgraded with the ship you get from the ranger questline. It has an A class core, decent shields, but its firepower is where it stands out. It flies, and has maxed cannons, lasers, and missiles. It’s basically a flying battleship with the mobility of a destroyer.
Thanks for this, I've been googling a ton but can't find a solid answer. Can you explain companion skills not on ship/outpost? Example: Sara has Leadership, what good does that do me? Adoring Fan has stealth, does it actually affect him? Adoring Fan also has scavaging... does that require him to be at an outpost? Do anything while following me? I don't know.
FYI if you’re trying to grind to get better class ships, the flight sim is a great option. Went from rank 2 to rank 4 in less than an hour with already having the skill points
Should note when you switch between ships all of the cargo including the misc items come with you. So if you using a lot of ships your hold starts filling up with misc items quickly.
5:30 "press a in an open space to open the ship part menu" Am I missing something? Because this is not available to me. I can only move around existing parts and also duplicate existing parts but I can't add anything new. I am also only level 9 and have nothing unlocked in the tech skill tree, maybe that's why?
How do you combine 2 ships? Or do you just go around and buy the specific parts from the different shipyards. I just captured a ship, registered it. Now I want to use it's reactor on my main ship...

I always end up with something that looks like a mix of a coastal patrol vessel and one of the light frigates from Halo. I guess it makes sense since the pirate hunting and hostage rescue missions are basically the space equivalent of what the Coast Guard does. Similar designs for similar purposes.
That ship is amazing. You gotta do a build guide on that or your favourite builds 🔥
This channel is gold. Love your vids
That's how to build your ship, here's how to build your character! --> ua-cam.com/video/IY2gufv700M/v-deo.html
My dude you recruited Omar 👍 I almost let him go cause he made me feel bad that he left his wife behind but then you find out it's all good best mechanic so far
Is it possible to make the RV from spaceballs?
Hey, where und get the 39 Power reactor from?
@FudgeMuppet, where did you get that bridge?
If you're within 250m from your ship you can remotely deposit/retrieve loot via the ship menu and pressing the cargo hold button. Sometimes you get lucky with the ship placement that you can still remotely deposit loot while in a nearby dungeon.
Very clear and entertaining guide. Thank you for this!
11:07 Funny you say that i was just thinking of how nice it would be to see a Recreation of the Ebon Hawk Rather as a mod or not For Starfield
I need to know how to build the ship you're using, it looks awesome!
Stealing ships basically just adds them to your inventory. At a shipyard you can select your active ship and sell your stolen ships
how do i build my spaceship like yours from 09:20 and forward in the video🤔🤔🤔🙂?
could you pls do a slow tutorial video, on how you builded this ship and explain wich ship parts you used and where to find them to build this ship🤔🤔🤔🙂?
My method has been to “Ship of Theseus” the Mantis ship. I’ve managed to rearrange the engines and landing gear to allow me to have a ship that is three bays wide and two 2x1 bays long with the cockpit in the front
On the back left I have living quarters, with the all in one on the bottom, crew quarters in the middle and captain’s quarters on top.
Between those and the way I have the engines splayed out, it keeps the cargo from looking just tacked onto the side of the ship)
I tried no ladders and I was able to do it and my ship looked cool enough, but I found it limiting for having all the crafting stations and living space I wanted for my crew. The didn’t want people sleeping in my bed
I’m over 70 hours in and haven’t really touched the main quest. This is a truly great game.
This is brilliant. This has helped save me so much time
Anyone remember the helghast cruisers from killzone?
Today i will finally start customizing ships..dang i am glad i found this video!!!
My main question is if I get one ship that I capture. Can I mix and match the 2 ships to make one a hybrid huge ship.
I assigned crew with outposts skills to an outpost and I’m not getting access to their skills?
FYI if you’re trying to grind to get better class ships, the flight sim is a great option. Went from rank 2 to rank 4 in less than an hour with already having the skill points
Wait can u redo the flight sim after u join the vanguard?
@@upwardspiral7441 yup. I just grinded out the last 2 levels of pilot. Easiest way to get that skill maxed for the better ships
Should note when you switch between ships all of the cargo including the misc items come with you. So if you using a lot of ships your hold starts filling up with misc items quickly.
It’s amazing how many hours I have in this, and only completed a handful of missions! There’s so much more to do
How do you get the 2x2 and 3x2 hauls??? I only see 2x1 and 3x1 ):
5:30 "press a in an open space to open the ship part menu"
Am I missing something? Because this is not available to me. I can only move around existing parts and also duplicate existing parts but I can't add anything new. I am also only level 9 and have nothing unlocked in the tech skill tree, maybe that's why?
How do you combine 2 ships? Or do you just go around and buy the specific parts from the different shipyards.
I just captured a ship, registered it. Now I want to use it's reactor on my main ship...
Do you recommend having multiple ships for different types of missions or one ship for everything?
Love the cockpit of the ship.
Where can I buy it?
