god mine came out so bad cause, like the dumbass i am, i got home and thought, you know what would be fun after a 11 hour shift till 1 am? sewing a fucking onesie. oh well it's still comfortable even if it looks fucked up.
I've never really sewn anything before, but I really want to make this. I got, essentially, a toy sewing machine that can only do a straight stitch, on a whim around Halloween. I don't think just a straight stitch would be strong enough for this though. :/ Any thoughts?
What's a good fabric that will keep you warm but not be so warm that you sweat? I live in California and I really want a onesie! I just don't want to be too hot it in that I don't end up using it :'(
I'm in texas. Using 4 way stretch knit for ours. I'm doing mine in solid colors and adding hoods, pony ears, and cutie marks for the kiddos this christmas. My little pony onesies. Just remember if you use jersey or any stretchy knit to get a ball point needle for your machine.
UA-cam kept suggesting your videos, and for a long time, I kept ignoring them. But one caught my eye and it made me realize how amazing you two are. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll continue on binge watching your vids.
shadilverfan2707 I've seen a video where a girl got matching sweatpants and hoodie and sewed them together. I would tell who but I can't remember who it was lol. If I remember I'll tell u :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! This was my first big sewing project and I definitely made some mistakes but I'm still proud of the outcome! Took me a total of 5 hours and the crotch is a LITTLE high *cameltoe* but I'm excited to do it again knowing what to tweak
THIS IS AMAZING 😍 I know I can always depend on you guys to make such unique and high quality videos and DIYs!! I hope you guys make it to 400,000 soon, you definitely deserve it!
I love this pattern. I got overconfident and tried to do it from memory instead of taking notes, now two pieces are backwards 🤣 I've learned my lesson. Thank you for making this!
How come you don't have 1 million subscribers already?!!! You guys deserve wayyyy more than a lot of other youtubers tbh I love your channel so much 💗💗
Hi Girls, I hope you don't mind my suggestion - it is much easier if you saw in the zipper first before you saw together the back and front part. But you still did a great job, especially for someone who is not a seamstress, you did totally great. You don't need to be an expert, as long as it works for you. I think it's always great making things for yourself and your ideas are always cool. Plus, It doesn't need to be perfect. I think I now have to make myself a oncie as well, it looks so comfy and snuggly! I love both patterns. I guess I would prefer the grey checked one but the Canadian pattern is very cute. Hope you're enjoying the holiday 🎄🎅🏽💖
This is the most excited I have been for one of your christmas episodes... actually, second. THAT FIREPLACE AND NOW THE ONESIES I CAN'T TAKE THE AWESOMENESS
I love this video so much! It came up in my recommended and I thought I would give it a go! I have saved it to try this year, it's summer right now in New Zealand so maybe I will adapt it to a short version?? thank you so much for the amazing video, you have a new subscriber!
OMG I love this! Now I wanna make one..but I don't have a sewing machine. I'd get Crazy Christmas patterns, lol. But if I find a SPONGEBOB! fabric, most definitely that one. lol.
Oh y'all r just to cute , i was just actually looking to DIY a " twosie" , So from just watching that helpful video , I'm sure " I'm SURE, " I CAN DO IT. Going to see if u have a 2'sie, video . Ok good job , Going to make 1....... Let ya know how it goes,,,,LoL. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
Hi. The Onesie is the perfect pattern for skydiving and paragliding flight suits. You might pick up that sport's viewers with a video tailored (hah!) to making a flight suit. A couple difference would be pockets strategically place, longer zippers for ease of access, and , mega-important , explaining how to sew multiple layers to add insulation and a lining. I don't how how to sew multiple layers of a full suit together. Can you help? Sounds like a great STRETCH sewing project and a great content idea for your channel.
Always love your videos... but I just think this would be cheaper if you just buy them since a good fabric its kinda expensive... anyways you always do a impressive job ;)
I am a novice sew'er who like to make a birthday present for my wife. I'd like to make a warm [double layer] onesie pajama using two layers of material - polar fleece outside and sherpa fleece inside. I have NOT seen a tutorial that addresses this full suit onesie type effortbefore, THANKS SO MUCH.. How would you suggest I form the full onesie with the two layers of material? Thinking through your video, perhaps I would essentially make two onesie's - one of each material and then fit them inside each other -- with the final assembly being one of outside seems or perhaps the long zipper opening --- and the adding hood and arm/leg contrasts? Or would you approach the two layer onesie another way? Seems like a great video tutorial topic for you !! Thanks for any suggestions you can offer me.
You two are so awesome. Thank you for making my day better. This christmas will be a tough one for me, but your DIYs gives me a break from the hard stuff, and make me smile. How's that for a cliche... This is a complete change of subject, but you have an amazing cardboard looking deer on your wall.. I have seen similar ones in store, but they are rather expensive. I know you probably don't need another one.. but if you have the time and energy... Could you perhaps consider making a DIY version of a deer like that one? I completely understand if you don't though, and I am really thankful just to see new videos from you in my feed. I hope you both are having an amazing Christmas :) *suprisehug from me*
Girls! What about pressing the seam allowances? This is a great idea, however, probably not a complete beginner's project - they'd need to know a few basics before hand. But it would be a great project for those who aren't making this their first project.
If your super lazy like I am, a simple way to do this is to take a button up night shirt that fits loosely and a matching (or anything you'd like) pair of very loose pants. I recommend thick fabrics. Then just sew (I had sew everything) The bottom of the shirt and waist of the pants together. Thank you for reading
I made a onsie of a character from Legend of Zelda (a korok name Makar from The Wind Waker). Considering I had no pattern it turned out not bad... but I have wanted to remake it, so your tutorial would be really helpful to keep myself on track and doing things in order. ^_^
Everyone is doing onesie videos now! I guess it must be the chilly season. CRAFTYAMY did one two years ago and this one seems to follow her method. Coolirpa did one with feet last year and Annika did an animal one 5 days ago.
thats so cool! I think a good addition would be a little zipper cover at the top, because sometimes zippers can irritate your neck. what a good DIY though!
I need to save this video because I had an impulsive idea at almost 11pm to make a Mothman onesie and I know its gonna be a much more complicated project than this (for example I want to add a hood) but this should definitely help! any tips?
how would you add feet to this, and also, though i enjoy annika victoria's videos, you definitely explained this process a bit better than her, so good job!
I totally made this, but I made 2, one was a Pikachu and it was a normal onesie, and the other one was totoro and I made it with shorts instead of pants, for when its warmer but I still wanna feel cute. They both have character customized features (tummy patterns, face patterns on added hoods and tails) and they have buttons instead of zippers. I love them!
Glad I found yall. Going to make one of these for my son. Going to attempt to put a hood on it. I'm not an expert sewer but this will be something I'm going to do today. :)
Can just draw round the first side you've cut out to make sure they're the same size, rather than laying out the jumper and joggers and drawing round them twice. You can also just put two layers of fabric down and cut them both out at the same time.
Im making my onesie for an art project and it doesn't have to be perfect so my question is : Can I simply cut out two shapes of my top and bottom and sew them together?
god mine came out so bad cause, like the dumbass i am, i got home and thought, you know what would be fun after a 11 hour shift till 1 am? sewing a fucking onesie. oh well it's still comfortable even if it looks fucked up.
😂

I've never really sewn anything before, but I really want to make this. I got, essentially, a toy sewing machine that can only do a straight stitch, on a whim around Halloween. I don't think just a straight stitch would be strong enough for this though. :/ Any thoughts?
NO EFFING WAY I WAS JUST GOING TO REQUEST THIS.
muito bom!!!
What's a good fabric that will keep you warm but not be so warm that you sweat? I live in California and I really want a onesie! I just don't want to be too hot it in that I don't end up using it :'(
DanEddyCinema maybe a jersey fabric? I have the same issue in texas...
DanEddyCinema I'll second some jersey/brushed cotton.
What about the hem at the neckline? :)
UA-cam kept suggesting your videos, and for a long time, I kept ignoring them.
But one caught my eye and it made me realize how amazing you two are.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll continue on binge watching your vids.

GENIOUS ABSOLUTELY GENIOUS!!!
shadilverfan2707 I've seen a video where a girl got matching sweatpants and hoodie and sewed them together.

I love this pattern. I got overconfident and tried to do it from memory instead of taking notes, now two pieces are backwards 🤣

I love this! The only thing is I'd like to figure out how to add a back "hatch" because peeling off the whole top half to go pee sounds chilly :-)

What song is playing in the background? Xx
I feel you so much on not owning onesies 😭😭 So happy that you made this though ❤❤❤
Why are you called the sorry girls?
Because Canadians say sorry differently than Americans Lol I forgot but I believe they had a Q&A where they answered this question.
haha okay, cute
+Kendra Carlson its cause were know for saying it a lot not differently but yeah 😂
Q&A: OUR CHANNEL, CAMERA, & APPLE TREES
This is the video where they answer it, its around the 1:00 mark
Awesome video as always
This is the most excited I have been for one of your christmas episodes... actually, second. THAT FIREPLACE AND NOW THE ONESIES I CAN'T TAKE THE AWESOMENESS
I have a lot of onesies (I'm 16 😂) I buy them from bluenotes and ardens for 15$ each. Pretty cheap.
So glad youtube suggested your video for me to watch! :) xx

I did this and it worked out so well. I made it for halloween and I was a deer!!!

I add about 2.5-3cm to the body length to make sure that there's enough crotch length to sit down comfortably without pulling the neckline tight
lmao 'take it to the sewing machine'
'take it to the sewing machine'
'take it to the sewing machine'
love you guys xx
+Jamie Walker soo many steps probs.
+TheSorryGirls haha yess can you try to diy something off the 'uniqfind' page on instagram?

Awsome, would love a hoodie version. Would make great gifts. 🌰XO❤XO🎃XO❤🍁
If I have a onesie, can I just trace that instead of the jeans+hoodie?
Everyone is doing onesie videos now! I guess it must be the chilly season.

THanks - I'm going to tweak this idea to make a jumpsuit from a menswear silk 2-piece pyjama set I inherited!

Have any plus size people made this? How much fabric would you suggest for that?
I totally made this, but I made 2, one was a Pikachu and it was a normal onesie, and the other one was totoro and I made it with shorts instead of pants, for when its warmer but I still wanna feel cute. I started with wanting 2 do dat but I was getting waked by the amount of skill ...I'm sou not capable of doing dat.
Im making my onesie for an art project and it doesn't have to be perfect so my question is : Can I simply cut out two shapes of my top and bottom and sew them together?
I have the same sewing machine! it was my Dads. So awesome to see someone else rocking and old machine that wasn't super popular!
