Oh how I NEEDED this video to help me with a collar for a baby sleeper where a curved knit collar is attached, and a zipper is involved! Maybe now I can get it right! Thank you!
I am a novice sew'er who like to make a birthday present for my wife. I'd like to make a warm [double layer] onesie pajama using two layers of material - polar fleece outside and sherpa fleece inside. I have NOT seen a tutorial that addresses this full suit onesie type effortbefore, THANKS SO MUCH.. How would you suggest I form the full onesie with the two layers of material? Thinking through your video, perhaps I would essentially make two onesie's - one of each material and then fit them inside each other -- with the final assembly being one of outside seems or perhaps the long zipper opening --- and the adding hood and arm/leg contrasts? Or would you approach the two layer onesie another way? Seems like a great video tutorial topic for you !! Thanks for any suggestions you can offer me. And do you think the outer layer will need to be enlarged to accommodate the thick sherpa lining material?
Great video. You make it look super easy. It would be nice to have a voice in the video though. I find it hard to read quickly whilst watching what you’re doing.
@@isheamongus811 It doesn't breath and so can cause over heating in babies and young children. In fact anyone who can't open up or unbutton their clothes to cool down.
If children refuse to sleep underneath the blankets, then you’ll have to wear footie pajamas every night. There are thin footie pajamas for the summer. When it is very cold outside, put a thin long sleeve shirt, long pants and socks underneath the fleecy footie pajamas.
Where can I find this pattern to make an adult onesie with the hello kitty material?? Where can I find that hello kitty material as well?? Thank you so much
You can find the pattern on our website (www.jalie.com). We purchased the fabric from Fabricville a while ago, but you could easily find Hello Kitty fleece online (Google "hello kitty fleece fabric" and you will find many)
I don't have a fabricville store here in California but joanns,Michaels and walmart. Thank you for letting me know what kind of hello kitty fabric you used.
What is this thing called that you're using for the shape/size/measurement for the pieces ? Not English and cannot even think of a word in my language 😭 tia x
+Mary Richards-Kallman The technique is to sew 1 inch only at both ends of the inseam and then sew the zipper to the right side of the fabric (zigzag first, then straight stitch), just like you did for the front. The zipper will start just below one ankle and finish at the other. Please email us at info@jalie.com. I will find a photo for you.
+Emilie Fournier Thank you, Emilie! So the zipper for the inseam zipper version is the only zipper used, or are two zippers used, one at the neck to crotch and one for the inseam? Thanks, again!
+Mary Richards-Kallman There are two zippers: one for neck to crotch and a second one for the inseam (ankle to ankle). You can see my little one unzipping it on the cover photo :) The front remains closed when the inseam is open (which is great for diaper changes!) d2n8e3syzbdqdz.cloudfront.net/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/1500x2000/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/3/2/3244_2_1.jpg

I think it would be just like what they did with the foot of the onesie but with every piece of fabric

Lovely as long as they're not made from fleece.
Y?

Ah! I get it! Thank you so much for clarifying that for me! is the dimension for the inseam zipper the same as the neck zipper? Thanks!
