    If you have a complex design with a lot of colors, and you know how, I reccomend using sections of fleece instead of layering as that can look a bit odd and cost you more! You do you, just a suggestion from someone who's never made a kigu (I do have sewing experience though!)

  • @honeysplashh6427
    @honeysplashh6427 4 роки тому +2

    For the arm length, you could measure the length of your arm and add 3 or 4 inches aside from seam allowance, so when you bend your arm it doesn't show half your forearm lol,,also I want to try to add hand paws to the one I make that fit like a lil hand pocket or loose mittens! Totally up to personal preference tho

  • @MonkeyM98
    @MonkeyM98 9 років тому +3

    awesome video! small note: it would be easier to attach the white part of the ears if you sew them on before attaching the two pink pieces. then you don't get a hand cramp from trying not to sew the other side.

XD ty

    I've followed this video for the past four years on all my Halloween costumes and it still works great! This year for Halloween I'm gonna go as Feathertail from Warrior Cats and this style of costume would work well for that.
    I came back because I was going to sew a hood to add to the costume, but it looks like your website expired. Do you have the measurements archived anywhere?

    • @withwendy
      @withwendy  8 років тому

      I feel onesies in general are not ideal for hot places :( but if you can find a lightweight fleece, or light knit fabric, it may help (just wont turn out as fuzzy and cuddly)

    Could you do it with buttons instead of a zip? And if so how? Also this is so cute! x

    • @withwendy
      @withwendy  9 років тому +2

      Totally! The original has buttons, zipper just tends to be easier to ensure it all lays flat. For buttons, instead of sewing the two front pieces right side together in the middle, you would hem the straight edges and sew them one on top of the other, overlapping enough for buttons and buttonholes that you can add.
