This is wonderful, one of the best appearances that I've seen of them. Frost obviously wasn't tricking her, but every day practically she would wake up with headlines saying how she has ruined her husband. Can you imagine being Yoko, having all this shit flung at you & simply trying to get onto first principles to be an artist and espouse peace, freedom, etc. You could understand her being sensitive about these things. Those people completely misunderstood the point of the song.
also jails are for separating violent people from the public & rehabilitation- if Rockerfeller had conceded to the demands of the prisoners, or even bothered to negotiate with them (he didn't) & if Nixon did not order the police to violently retake control from the rioters, those 33 guards and 10 correctional officers may have lived. The inmates only shot one of the guards, the rest were killed by 'friendly fire.'
What a shame he wasted his talent on this sort of thing. She may not have broken up the Beatles, but she certainly encouraged him to get involved in these idiotic events. Mimi always said 'this is not John; this is Yoko talking.' The was the precursor to Sometime In NYC which was one of the worst artistic endeavors he released. She was probably the most famous nobody who ever walked the earth. And here she is demanding respect as if she had earned it.
Yeah fair comment. Certainly, you can see why certain people saw him as a trouble maker, and why he, himself, was scared to leave the USA before he received his green card.
@@Inglese001 Yes, he drew the wrong kind of attention to himself at a time when the establishment had something he desperately wanted. Nixon and Mao dancing naked together was not received warmly and probably triggered some kind of reconnaissance. There was a credible rumor going around that he was going to make an appearance at the DNC that year.
The discussion about Attica State is eerie, considering the freak who killed John was imprisoned there. The woman is telling John what can happen in New York when someone is walking home at night, and they reply with "love" and such...Disturbing.
People can say what they want about John Lennon's "bizarre" point of view on how are society is managed, but John knew what was really happening in those days and sadly, was grossly misunderstood. In my opinion, of course.
Why is he wasting time, interviewing Yoko ? John was MORE famous, had achieved more, was FAR more loved, had better songs/ books...Can someone answer...I have Aspergers, I find the world confusing.

I remember watching this at age 15 and thinking “he gave up writing and performing with McCartney for THIS?”.
I agree that many of John and Yoko acts were crap and ridiculous. But I think John Sinclair, ideologies apart, is a great tune.
@@Alejandro-ug1nc yoko is still alive because she is a demon; john is freed from her
Thanks for sharing !
The people they brought down to speak were 100% logical and rational IMO.
John and Yoko have the correct opinions :]
??
I think so too !!
The boy that are to the side of the woman in the second 23:59 is Mark David Chapman?
Yoko once claimed that she had never heard of The Beatles before she met John Lennon. Yoko could never been on The David Frost show on her own.

First time ive ever seen this ! Interesting but not so good without John speaking more!
I wonder if Yoko would have espoused these philosophies after December 8 1980
Those sort of things happen eventually to almost every hippy/woke person if they grow old enough to see them.
If he only had stayed with May.
Or Cynthia
u got that right- he was under the spell of a demon

I think the host was in the hey juse video ;)
Hypocrisy on their part. Obviously, she changed her views regarding incarceration after Dec 8, 1980.
Yoko has made sure MDC has never been released from prison. Maybe it’s justified or not but it is kind of curious given this footage.
How can it not be justified?
@37:06 Lennon was the only reason she got TV attention in the first place, what an odd thing to be upset about heh
Never seen this 😂😂😂😂😂
So rude! She won’t let him finish a sentence!

What ???
Smh.. John's full of shite,so is Yoko. He should have kept his mouth shut and spent time with Julian instead of acting like profit.
Anybody ever heard her say anything very important?
too many hanger ons
This opening band is really bad.
Annoying
