We have been using Mimaki UV flat bed printers for the last 10 years. Maintenance of the UV digitals are pain in the ass in general. You have to spend a lot of time for the cleaning even then you may get problems. You always need to be on high alert about the parts that are quick to worn out and change them before it starts to malfunction. You sometimes need to clean the printheads 2-3 times a day. Each print head with a different wiping stick with a sponge with special cleaning fluid. Upkeep of digital UV printers is a work load on itself.

UV printing is the most expensive type of printing. I don’t know why you should use it for something that gets thrown away.
