These are on my wishlist for the upcoming season for sure.
I’ve got the neoprene rocky boots and they are pretty comfortable and dry for the time being but after one season of public land hunting they’re pretty beat up I don’t expect them to last thru season two.
Ahh ok. Do those have the half neoprene, half rubber?
Yep that’s them half rubber half neoprene. They are nice on my feet for sure but just not gonna hold up.
I’ve seen the gum leafs talked about over on the hunting beast but this was a more in depth talk about them.

I haven’t been able to afford them but I know GumLeaf for sure makes the best rubber boot. How did you pick that model and not the royal zips? What does a pair weigh?
Gumleaf USA gave me a choice between the Saxons and the Field Welly's.
I wanted a warmer weather boot for scouting and early season/rut.
With the neoprene insulation, I thought the Saxons were the better choice.
I'm not sure what the pair weighs. I'll have to check and get back to you.
I have a pair of bravepanda rain boots for wet days when it rains and when I'm outside in the snow
I’ve used Muck artic ice pro for the last 8 years. On my second pair and they are amazing. The only thing is the seam on the toe came loose but a little shoe goo and it’s back to bullet proof. Never had a leak. Wear them for gardening, wood splitting, hunting, and ice fishing. Mucks have 8mm neoprene while the best pair of gumbleaf (at over $400😳) uses only 5. Muck also has a 2mm thermal barrier in the sole of the boot. Keeps you nice and warm even in sub zero temperatures (if you move every now and then).
Then you’re lucky. I know people with those exact boots that have had a very different experience.

The Royal zip $just over $400 after taxes. Muck are great boots!
@@2cthetruth I disagree. Multiple people have told me that their boots starting leaking less than a year after purchasing their Muck boots.
You're lucky yours have lasted so long. They are made of 15% actual rubber.
Don’t knock them till you’ve tried them. Others have told me they love theirs as well, so it’s a horse a piece. There are lemons put out with any manufacturer. Also, I could care less if they were made out of mushroom skins; if they do the job and are comfortable, it’s a win. Get yourself a pair of mucks and a saddle. Take a dump in the Walmart bathroom with the door open….be a man!

This is a sad reality of the world we now live in - simple disagreements/conversations with opposing views cause some people to be offended and then to discount the character of others.
I bought a pair four years ago and have given them very light use. Both are leaking badly right now where the sole seems to be separating from the side rubber. I just used Aquaseal around the entire seam so I am hoping that gets me a little more use, but honestly I don't have high hopes I just can't recommend these to anyone given how high priced they were and how short they lasted after essentially babying them. They seem to be cheaply made for maybe the highest priced rubber boots out there.

You can't beat Gumleaf Field wellingtons for comfort in all conditions. Plus, they're 45 cm tall. That's way higher than Hunters. Which are rubbish btw.

I own a pair of Hunter Gates Rubberboots And they are the Greatest Rubberboots Ever.. I Personally took out part of the lining and what was left was nothing but what you mig😮ht say is rubber or latex ....Im so happy with mine ...Ive Got Nothing But The Best!!!! Super Sexy!!!😊
