Bot Chien - Fried Rice Flour Cake with Eggs Recipe | Helen's Recipes

  • Ingredients (serves 2)
    For the rice flour cake
    1 cup rice flour (non-glutinous "bot gao te")
    1 tbsp tapioca starch
    1.5 cup water
    1 tsp vegetable oil
    1/4 tsp salt
    For the frying pan
    2 tsp black soy sauce
    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    4 eggs
    1 cup spring onion, chopped
    For the dipping sauce
    2 tbsp soy Sauce
    1 tbsp white/black vinegar
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp chopped red chili pepper (optional)
    For the pickles
    1/2 cup carrot, shredded
    1/2 cup daikon/green papaya, shredded
    2 tbsp sugar
    3 tbsp white vinegar

    I like watching the different ways of cooking Vietnamese food and other Asian cooking,it inspired me to cook them as well coz they are good to cook,I even subscribed to different cooking web page coz I'm already addicted to them!!!!!!

    I love your videos. Love the fact that its taped up close instead of u cooking like most other vids ive seen. This makes it look more yummy. U remind me of the azn female version of chef john. Double thumbs up :)

    I just made this recipe and it was so good that I had to write a comment about it immediately! YUMMY!!!! I didn't have time to make the rice cakes but I did have some fresh ones from the Korean market and use those instead and it was delicious! Thanks Helen!!

    Hic,công thức của chị thích quá đi mất, em vô mấy trang chỉ làm bột, nhất là khúc khuấy bột sao cho chuẩn đang hoa mắt vì mỗi trang nói một kiểu, vô thấy chị làm bằng microwave vừa tiện lợi, ăn lại ngon mà, thích quá là thích. Chị giỏi quá à, chúc chị nấu ăn ngày một ngon và chia sẻ cho mọi người công thức nhiều nhiều nha chị.

      Bạn cho bột vào nồi, đặt lên bếp đun nhỏ lửa, vừa đun vừa quấy sẽ đặc lại ạ ^^

    I guess it can be kept in the fridge up to 2 weeks. You may want to keep it in the freezer to keep longer

    Em nen ngam bot khoang 1h truoc khi cho vo microwave thi no se bot mui nong cua bot gao. (nho quay len truoc khi nau trong lo vi song)

    Lol - these dishes are probably ok in Vietnam as its really hot and you sweat out all the calories. But I am pretty sure if I make this in UK, I wont be able to get out the front door - will the just enjoy the video. All recipes are fantastic!
